From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and ushered into the cocktail hour room, that had a wonderful display of delicious appetizers and beverage options. The grounds are stunning and with the recent snow it was magical. Once the rest of the wedding party arrived we were all moved upstairs to a private room were the wedding took place, it brought tears to my eyes on how beautiful it was. Afterwards we all moved to the ballroom, intimate and decorated with flowers, linens and yet another table of cold apps. Wedding menu consisted of 8 choices from filet mignon to roast duck, I had the duck the Best Man, (Hubby) had the filet mignon). Food was delicious, cooked perfectly and and the drinks were heavenly. It is wonderful to be able and use some of these old rooms for entertaining. My personal favorite is the Library. So... in terms of today. The staff here is wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful. They have even been able to make some minor modifications to a dinner order at a party. Simply, they care. Food is always tasty-fresh and most importantly hot... They have a certain formula here and it works very well. When I come as a guest I usually have their shrimp dish. I always enjoy their creative entrees. We had…read morea big wedding with 250 guests and I was anxious all the way up to the day of the wedding, but I was surprised by how much fun we ended up having at our wedding. I would say one big reason is because of Shirley who was there with us every step of the day. I knew I wanted a day of coordinators who are not only bilingual, but also know the Chinese wedding customs. We had many Chinese guests and family members who did not speak English, and this was the first wedding of parents from both sides. I wanted to make sure we have a good time, and our parents are also well taken care of since we will be too busy to tend to them. We had all our vendors booked before hiring Shirley so we booked the classic package. For this package, Shirley started working with us about 6 weeks before the wedding. She introduced herself to our vendors and made sure they had the itinerary before the wedding, attended zoom meeting with us when requested, and she was quick to respond to our requests and questions. Our wedding included elements from both Chinese and Western weddings, it was a 14-hour day including getting ready, gatecrashing, two tea ceremonies, photoshoots, a first look, ceremony, a quick first dance practice, receptions, and three dress changes (7a-11 pm)! With so much to do, we had a tight itinerary, and Shirley made sure the right people was at the right place at the right time so we are on schedule. She communicated with our wedding party on what's next on the itinerary, and guided our parents through the itinerary. Shirley did a mini rehearsal with our parents for the ceremony and reception introduction on the day, and made sure they were there to see our first look through the window without interrupting our own moments. I will say I had a great experience with hair/makeup and dress but photography was such a horrible experience. We saw sample pictures beforehand and decided to go with Rahel but the pictures we actually got were no where near what we were given. I will preface and say that we were pre-warned that we were double booked that day and were not going to get the main photographer,however, I am not just upset at the quality of photos but just the lack of professionalism that followed. We ended up taking studio photos that day with the main photographer which actually were edited and came out nice, however, the pictures taken at the venue were terrible with the other photographers. Many of the pictures looked like we were inside a club due to horrible flash. Many pictures we were washed out with flash directly in our faces. Not just that but barely none were edited. We just got a photo dump of nearly 7 gbs of just raw pictures. We hired photography to get professional pictures but we just ended up with a photo dump of just raw photos and terrible ones at that. The worst part is I tried emailing the group about my concerns 3 times with NO response and am just amazed at their unprofessionalism with their clients. I guess once they have your money they just have no regard for you. If at least there was some dialogue about the situation I don't think I would have been as upset but the fact that before the wedding they were very responsive to the silence that followed afterwards is just what is very upsetting.

As a person who is not in the industry, even I know it is common sense to have someone on standby for such hiccups. She was accommodating to me when it came to my nerves, however that not the only thing I needed accommodations for. A little tip, a client never wants to see her Coordinator feeling bombarded or flustered. This experience was not worth our money.

What I saw here was: A big positive experience from the time I drove in to the time I left. The valet staff greeted me well and quickly before taking my car.
