Long story short, organization was a mess (my fault), but as a result, I completely forgot we needed a photographer, which meant that at the last minute we were scrambling! We found Sharon on yelp and contacted her immediately. She responded promptly and professionally, but having never met her, we weren't really sure what to expect. We were not disappointed! Sharon met with us in NOLA a few days before the wedding, talked with us over coffee about our wants and needs, and then walked the site with us to get a good feel for how to set up the pictures. Come the day of the wedding, Sharon arrived early and went right to work. She knew exactly how to set people (and objects) up for the perfect pictures! She got the job done beautifully, while at the same time respecting our level of "acceptable intrusion" into the ceremony (which she made sure to check in with us about beforehand)! Sharon was very flexible about picture delivery as well. She didn't try to up-sell us at all. Ever. Which I really appreciated. We wanted our pictures in digital format (not an album), and just a short time later our edited pictures arrived on flash drive. THEY WERE AMAZING! DJ Corey was great!!! My husband and I weren't that big on music so we felt kind of lost when it…read morecame to picking out songs for our wedding. But when we had our first meeting with Corey, he REALLY put our minds at ease. It really wasn't as complicated as I thought! He just asked us what kind of music we were into and told us that we could send him a list of songs that we do want to have played, and he would take care of the rest. On the day of the wedding, we were VERY happy with the selection. The only thing I wasn't THAT happy with was that he played "Love and Marriage" from Married with Children when we first down at reception. I like the show a lot but it just threw me off guard. So not only is Corey awesome at DJing, but he also did a great job helping out our photographers in coordinating pictures. He would be on the mic telling people to get together in one section, for example. And he did a great job announcing when the different events started, etc. Overall, we loved Corey and he has such great energy and always puts a smile on your face.

When served with rice, this makes a hearty and affordable meal that can feed many people. I had the luck to try another kind of Gumbo - audio gumbo, in the form the jubilant sounds of Gumbo Entertainment. At two different functions I attended recently, the music provided was handled exclusively by Gumbo. The harmonies selected were a nouveau hybrid of old school soul, current pop music, and a few tried-and-true classics. Gladys Knight may have made a cameo, too. At both events (one party, one wedding), the dance floor was filled with lively souls, slow dancing to melodic ballads, or gyrating to faster rhythms. Even those sitting at tables couldn't help but tap their feet to the strains of the music. Like a traditional gumbo, these DJs take various compositions and make a phonic feast for the spirit. They also provide Emcee services as well. If you are in need of good music for an event, I would highly suggest having Gumbo satiate the tastes of your guests.
