Now, I understand they're ultimately a junk removal company, but they also provide moving services upon request. With this service in mind, you'd think they'd be better equipped with protective solutions. They started off fast and efficient which we appreciated. But when it came to the larger furniture like the couch, mattress, and bedframe.. they dragged my furniture on the ground outside. I watched carefully and had to request not to drag.. they did not wrap the furniture or use any blankets to keep from damage. All of my furniture is new within the last 1.5 years as when I moved to the apartment they were moving me away from, I ordered completely new furniture that were delivered up to my unit in boxes and assembled myself. I lived alone, didn't have pets, no kids, rarely had guests over. My furniture was clean and pristine. They also pushed a brand new office chair with wheels on asphalt. One of the movers commented on poor assembly of the bed frame.. hello, you are moving someone who lives here.. who else would have assembled it? They moved my stuff in a trailer with no cover, and again, no protective solutions like a tarp to cover at the very least. Once all the furniture was moved, we saw holes and skid marks all over my new couch, bed frame and mattress. We brought it up to them before they left and they said they tried their best in the elevator, when it was clear these were asphalt marks and I saw with my own eyes how they treated everything. We have since put in a claim with Chunks of Junks via email to which they SEEM cooperative simply because they are emailing us back. We've done everything they've asked like provide photos of the damage, share the value of each piece, etc. But it's been more than TWO MONTHS without resolve.

I had to move from a 3rd story to another 3rd story within the same complex.... with no elevator. such a stupid move, but it had to be done. Within 10 mins of sending out my search request on Yelp, I get a message from Ant to give him a call ASAP. Mind you, it's about 10:30pm now. So I call and.... ITS NOT A RECORDING!!!! Ant answers, asks a few questions, and schedules the move. We discuss pricing, which was beyond fair, and boom. We're done. So, the moving day comes. Nothing is broken, scratched, or ruined. All in all, if I have to move again (which I hope not anytime soon), I will be calling Global Movers. Thank you, BTW, for not having an automated machine tell me that you're closed. I know I'm terrible for even calling close to the witching hour, but the fact that my call was important enough to be answered speaks volumes on customer service.

Be sure to buy any moving supplies that you want them to use (tape, blankets, plastic wrap, etc). I recommend having a dolly also. Can rent one with the truck. Title: Poor planning, delays, and damaged mattress…read more Review: What should have been a straightforward 2BR + office local move (~9 miles) turned into a stressful multi-day process due to poor planning and coordination. Specialty packing materials discussed in advance for high-value framed jerseys were not prepared ahead of time, creating significant delays and forcing time-consuming on-site workarounds. What should have been a one-day move stretched across multiple days. The unloading timeline was pushed late into the evening, my mattress was separated from the main delivery, and I ultimately had to sleep on the floor waiting for it to be returned the following day. Most concerning, the mattress arrived damp, stained, odorous, and physically damaged with visible tearing to the fabric and cover. It required immediate professional cleaning and inspection. I later learned the company had already contacted the same mattress cleaning professional before the mattress was even returned to me, which raised additional concerns about how the item was handled during transit. The building elevator was also damaged during the move. While several crew members worked hard and were professional, the larger issues appeared to stem from management, preparation, and oversight. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company for moves involving high-value or sensitive items.

They never complained, communicated with each other constantly, and worked efficiently without ever making me feel like they were rushing through the job. They were also happy to answer questions and made sure everything was loaded exactly the way I wanted. Moving is never easy, but these four made the experience so much less stressful. Their attention to detail, work ethic, and genuine care for their customers really set them apart. ISMOVING is fortunate to have a crew like Nate, Sam, Frank, and Jacob representing their company. The…read moreseller couldn't do much to help load it by himself and I'm in no shape to help with something heavy such as that, so I did a project search on Yelp and found ISMoving. Right away they were really eager to help. They offered a few daytime time slots but the seller worked all day so when I told them it would best to scheduled after 5pm. No problem, they gave a scheduled appointment within two days in the same week for 530pm. Seller was agreeable and we all showed up at the right time. The seller had taken some of it apart but he'd not wanted to move the pieces without help. His home was gorgeous and very big. There were triple steps in and down to the space with the entertainment center. The garage, a straight shot out to the loading truck but it had two concerns, if it would fit through the garage door and if the path through the garage was wide enough to allow passage. (The garage was loaded with stuff so a narrow path existed but it would require careful footing) A quick assessment by ISMoving and they decided they could handle the stairs without problems. They were very careful with handling of each piece wrapping the glass pieces carefully with padding and with the aid of straps they picked up each piece and loaded everything in the truck. They made the move of each piece as if they were light as a feather. After the truck was loaded and everything strapped secured they made the quick trip to my house. I had moved things around and had nothing in the path through my garage and they were able to bring all but one piece through the garage. But they felt the center piece, which was more like a bottom of a hutch, would be better through the front. They were concerned about the ornate moldings and didn't want anything scraped. They moved a few items of furniture out of the way that would impede their path. And just like that I had all five pieces in my family room. They set about putting it all together and ensured everything was plugged in and lights working. They even moved my TV into the spot and offered to hook up my electronics like the cable box, the sound bar and the DVD player, but I needed to swap my cable box out for wireless and I thought it best to wait. These guys worked hard, careful and cautious with my newly purchased piece. They communicated with me about each pieced moved and with each other. I would recommend this company to get your moving job done! They are reliable, cautious and worked well as a team. Pricing is great as well. If I have desire to move things in the future I'm sure to keep them in mind!
