I am sounding an alarm for anyone that may be in the market for a used car. Buy from J-Rus in…read moreMacomb and you are playing Russian roulette with respect to having a reliable vehicle. Your life could be turned upside down, like my daughters has, for trusting J-Rus. The words "inspected" and "reliable" must mean something different at J-Rus than they do to honest people. Imagine spending 25K on a low mileage newer vehicle because you need reliable transportation, not having any idea that within a short time, you find out you need to replace the transmission, the brakes and the engine. You are told by a reputable dealership that the trans pan was rusted through on arrival, and all the fluid had leaked out, and a simple visual inspection should have been enough to detect this prior to selling. You call the dealer that sold you the vehicle and politely explain the issue to be given the old "we will get back to you" word for days, so you call but can't get through. This is when you find out that "we will get back to you" really means "we will block your number and have no intention of making things right". So you email, politely, and your email address is also blocked. You call from an alternate number to find out the customer service policy changes to "Be rude and laugh at a customer with serious concerns once we get their money". Requests for inspection reports will be ignored, but rest assured, if you persist you will be provided with a document that appears to have been created on the fly, not dated, and customized notes that appear as an attempt to "CYA". They address the brakes "to make you happy" and deny any issue with them, despite a reputable dealer report. Then as an advanced move, an attorney sends you a message to intimidate you and let you know that he would enjoy tearing you up should you bring this to court. The time off work due to no transportation, financial strain and emotional distress are of no concern to J-Rus, despite the founder, Jonathan Russo, declaring himself a minister, a man of God. The hypocrisy! Knowingly selling unsafe vehicles and abusive behavior for being called out on it is EVIL! You can literally make or break someone by screwing them out of transportation! You might incite someone to publicly expose you, to warn others, to seek justice! We have receipts for what I have shared here, and then some.

I was charged for something that wasn't even broken. They broke my door side panels , my entire dash is loose and my driver side window is shaky now when it opens. My battery and engine parts were loose as well. They held my vehicle for a week with no option for a loner. I had to call to get updates. I was told one thing then another. They lied in their report saying I was "aware this fix was only a test and more repairs will be needed" I was NEVER made aware! This is a warning for everyone to read the description in the bill before you sign it!!! They lie and suck at their job. With us being in 2024 you would think your techs could google or YouTube car problems if you had NO IDEA WHAT WAS WRONG. AND IF THEY HAD NO IDEA THEN SAY SOMETHING AND ILL TAKE THE CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE. You lost a customer and I'll be telling everyone about this. Complete morons. I'm 10000% sure they are high on drugs. Complete scammers. I'm very disappointed and sad my car was handled the way it was.

Of course I paid for it, hoping it would correct the problem. Today, before the next oil change was even due since I had it at the dealership for the issue, the transmission failed and I'm being told it'll take another month to fix and they can't give me a loaner vehicle so I'll have to pay for a rental the entire time. Incompetent, oblivious to customer's needs, and borderline criminal is how how I'd describe "Vile"atel. It was still under bumper to bumper warranty when I first brought it in for the problem and now it isn't. Deliberate? Why else would you do that to a customer except to cheat them out of the warranty they paid for...

The car felt great and seemed to be in good condition. We went on to discuss the out-the-door price and settled on $15,842, but after some haggling, talked it down to $15,250. I explained to them several times that I had a pre-approved auto loan for $10,000 and the rest in cash, so the price worked out well. When we went into the financing office, however, they told us we needed a $12,000 loan. Although it was written on the papers they gave us, they failed to mention that the car's out-the-door price was actually $17,842 and assumed we would put down $2,000 even though we hadn't told them. I asked if they could remove some of the add-ons, which included oil changes and servicing from the dealer, but was told it wasn't possible, so I ended up walking out at 1:30 P.M. I wouldn't be disappointed if the car wasn't listed at $2,000 less than its real price. The manager was also extremely rude and tried to frame it as if I had saved $600 haggling after they added another $1,400 to the price. It ruined my morning and wasted my time before I had to clock in for work. If you're planning to finance from this, look out for expected down payments and add-ons before you get to the financing office. You might be able to negotiate it better than I could. Just remember that dealers are not your friends, they will try to manipulate your emotions for profit! You can always walk out if the offer doesn't add up. I would recommend looking somewhere else or buying from third parties if you don't want to have your time wasted.
