One thing I've learned about dogs is that they want to run and play-and they don't care much if the space is well groomed and "pretty." So the way I might judge a park is different than if the pups do....and since this is a dog park, I'll write the review from their standpoint...if they could write. As soon as mom drives up the street, I immediately recognize where we are and start whining with excitement. I remember playing here and have been so excited to return. She pulls into the parking lot (which can get crowded at peak times, but we go early in the morning and it's A-OK). I can hardly contain my excitement as we get to the gate. Inside, there is so much room to run! I especially love the stream down at the bottom, although there are signs warning the people about the potential for disease from the water. But I don't care-I jump right in. Along the perimeter, there's a walking path that mom walks along and I loosely follow. I guess she likes that she can keep an eye on me while I can also run free. There's are other areas that are separate-a small dog section and another gated area if some dogs want privacy. Kind of nesting play areas, if you will. There are signs all around reminding people to pick up poop, along with bags to help with the icky task. They are kind of passive aggressive- they basically say "don't come here if you can't pick up after your dog." I get the point, but the tone is a little strange and unwelcoming. There is a lot of native vegetation and plants. Some of them can be a little prickly and get stuck in my fur-so mom always checks to get foxtails out when we go home. Of all the parks that mom takes me to, this one is two paws up and pretty dog-gone great. I love the space to run and the water to play in. read more

Large, lots of variety. So much space and more than just a field. There's things for my pup to climb on and water for those who want to get wet or muddy - mine does not like water. read more

This is probably the best dog park I've ever been to. So much room for our dog to run around and play. There's obstacles for dogs and the biggest highlight is the creek that runs through the park. (Be prepared to wash the mud off your dog though) Every dog I've seen there is very well trained and respectful, which is so refreshing to see. Check out this park when you have the chance! read more

We went on a Sunday. What a great naturalistic off leash dog park and with a creek. They also have doggy showers, because if your dog likes water, they will get muddy. I wish I lived closer. read more

Pros: Spacious, well-maintained park with a walkway, small and large dog area, water feature and agility obstacles. There are always tennis balls and poop bags. There is a hose at exit so dogs can be rinsed off if needed. Clean water bowls are available by the hose. Convenient hooks to hang leashes by entrance. Lots of regulars visit on the weekdays and there are plenty of dog friends for my dogs. Cons: Too many unruly young children in the park; climbing on agility equipment like it's a playground. Dogs can't use it because the children always playing on it. They will even start climbing all over it while I'm training my dog on the equipment and almost getting knocked over by the dogs. They waive toys and sticks around not being aware a dog could see this as an invitation to play, creating a situation they may get them knocked over and/or accidentally bit or scraped. There are always many little dogs (about 10 pounds and under) in the large dog area despite having an available small dog area. This puts the little dogs at risk of being injured by large dogs and unfair to large dog owners trying to enjoy the park. Most of these little dogs are intimidated by large dogs and are very reactive; barking, snarling, at snapping at them. Fairly frequently dogs who exhibit aggressive tendencies are brought to the park. This seems to happen mostly on the weekends and the people and dogs are not park regulars. Today someone brought a Great Dane who was obviously dog aggressive/reactive. It was snarling, lunging, and barking in the entry pen. Despite acting like this the dog was brought in the park. At least they kept it on a leash but it would lunge and snap at dogs who approached it and wasn't muzzled. Disaster waiting to happen. Overall: it's a lovely park, I love playing with my dog here and she has lots of fun. Unfortunately, too many inconsiderate people visit with their young children or dogs unsuited for the park environment which makes it hard to enjoy. Many times I cut my visit short because I become very uncomfortable with dogs, people, and situations happening at the park. read more

Having just recently moved to Utah, I wanted to find a nearby dog park for my furry friend. Draper City Dog park fits the bill nicely. It's reasonably spacious and fenced off for safety. There's doggy poo bag stations all over the perimeter for convenience. So far my dog seems to love it there on the handful of occasions that we have visited. read more

Grace dog, my eight-year-old Labrador retriever adores this park and she asked me to write a short review for her. You're probably wondering, exactly what does she like about this park? Well, her favorite part was probably the little stream that runs through the park. Water features are always a hit to drop your tennis ball into. She explained ho she likes the mixture of sand, grass and gravel. It's just enough to get her good and dirty. But please understand that she can rinse off most of the mess in the Stream. Grace Dog also likes to go on the little hills in the back - it's not just a flat piece of turf, there are some interesting transitions for the dogs to run on. The comfortable benches where dog owners sit have back rests and are comfortable. My daughter and I had coffee while we were there and we were entertained the whole time by many dogs. Another nice feature is the fact that this Park is busy with lots of furry friends having a good time. That creates excitement for your dog and they like to play in the pack - and there's plenty of packs to play with. Importantly, there is a fresh water supply coming from a drinking fountain - the dogs love a cold beverage after a good run. All put together this is one happy combination of entertainment and exercise for your pet. Salute! read more

This is actually one of the better dog parks I've visited in the greater Salt Lake area. There is a small dog area separate from the bigger area and part of the inside of the park has its own fence seemingly designed specifically as a separate area for fetch play with your dogs. The park has three entrances - one for the small dog area, one on the north side closest to the skate park that can go into either the small dog side or the bigger side, and one on the east side at the smaller parking lot. The east entrance has a hose to spray your dogs off after they inevitably get dirty in the stream that runs through the park, and the hose is always able to be used, even in the colder months. There are also water bowls at the east entrance. There is a walking path around the outside of the park that is paved and elevated from the rest of the park, so it stays relatively clean and dry. The city takes great care of this park, so there are multiple poop bag and trash can stations throughout and there is someone who comes by regularly to clean up the poop that inconsiderate owners regrettably don't clean up. A downside is that this park is regularly very busy. If you go before 10AM on the week days there's usually only a few people with their dogs, but any other time - especially if the weather is nice - you should prepare to have to park in the parking lot to the west and for there to be lots and lots of people and dogs. The earlier morning regulars at this park are respectful and have well behaved dogs, but I can't say the same for everyone who comes at the busier times. Such is the nature of a dog park, I guess. Overall this is a great little park and I enjoy it with my two dogs on a pretty regular basis. read more

Great place to let the 4 legged friend Run wild while you walk and also work on your steps. The creek is a nice addition. The hose to wash off your 4 legged friend is also sweet! read more

Awesome dog park! So many great features and so many dogs to play with. The only issue is that the stream isn't really safe drinking water, but it is hard for the dogs to resist. I love that this place has an agility course as well. read more

I've never been to this dog park before but I had a great first impression. My dog loved playing in the water and it is big enough to social distance. The only negative thing I would say is people need to clean up after their dog. There are garbage cans and poop bag stations throughout the park. They also have section inside the park that's closed off from the other dogs so you can play fetch. There is also another closed off area just for smaller dogs. read more

Not sure why the star rating is so low, but I love this dog park! I've only been here twice though. Lots of space, paved walk way, parking, separated areas, doggy fountain, and pretty well kept. I took my 2 dogs here and they loved it. The only downside is that the main area is sand, gravel and mud. But they have a separate area with all grass. There is also a tiny stream of water that runs through the park so you may want to bring a towel. read more

I love this dork park! The park is gated you can separate the little dogs or big dogs if you like. I'm glad they started asking people to pick up after their dogs :) read more

While driving through Utah with our dogs, we were looking for a good place for the pups to get out and stretch their legs. The Park was easy to find, well kept and as clean as any dog park we've visited. There are multiple areas for the dogs to run off leash, gazebos with benches for the owners, water fountains and a stream. Wish our local dog park was as cool! read more

This park is a nice size where my dog can just run tirelessly. The people and the dogs that come here are so friendly and the path around the park is perfect for people (and dogs) to stroll nicely while theres the exciting play in the center. The creek that's in the park does get cold and I wouldn't recommend allowing your dog to drink from it because other dogs sometimes pee in the water, but it is fun for dog that love to play in water for sure! read more

We love this dog park! We drive 25 minutes to get here and it well worth it. Always has several other dogs to play with. Some of the older reviews say the water feature was nasty but they must have fixed it because I've been coming for five months now and it's been clean every time and my dog never smells after. Super fun and a nice walking path. read more

This park is a nice size. It is mostly gravel so there isn't a nice place to throw a ball. The park doesn't seem well maintained. Maybe maintained isn't the correct word, the humans that use it don't pick up after their pets. Sad. We would love to use the park, but with no grass or turf, my dog refuses to chase a ball there. read more

I love this doggy park! It is fully gated. When you walk in there is a hose and bowls for your dogs to drink water from. You can find plenty of bag dispensers that are always stocked for you to pick up after your dog. The main are has an area with a body of water that his a tunnel in the middle- dogs love to run in the water and thru this tunnel. Within the main area this is also another area that is gated with grass only. It's a pretty large dog park and the area is outlined by a paved sidewalk for dog owners to walk. You will also find plenty of benches and little huts with benches under that provide shade. I like this dog park! read more

Best dog park I've been to yet in SLC. Lots of room for the dogs to play, there's always a good amount of dogs, a little stream.

Good intentions but the water feature which should be the center point is horribly executed. It is disgusting run off water and pollutants that doesn't recycle at wall and is stagnant. The dogs get filthy and smelly. It needs a concrete bottom and to be like a pool that has clean water and flows thru. Also now the grass area has been locked up 2 weeks in a row. Let's get this fixed! read more

4 labs...they all love this park! The track around the park.is my favorite, it is wide and paved and I run with my dogs off leash and its the best! The water running through is a perk and it has water to drink by the entrance/exit. Perfect for those who want to be active without leashing. The size is huge and adds more love from my labs, they never get bored. read more

This park has been a great place to take my young and skittish dog. It's not so big and yet all fenced in and has a great little stream that he loves to play in. They have water for dogs to drink and water to rinse them off with. I only wish that ALL owners would pick up their dog poop. read more

My dogs love to go to this Park. It is large and fenced. There is a grassy area and a dirt area as well as a small pup area. The kids can play across the street in the park too. We really loved it at first. The parking area is very small and difficult to get in and out of. The traffic on 300 east has really increased and to get your dog in and out of the vehicle is a little crazy. This summer my dogs would get sick and have diarrhea after being in the park. The stream there is used as a dog bathroom and I believe they were sick from drinking the water. We have not had any throw up or diarrhea since we stopped going. read more

Wonderful dog park with little stream running through and a running track. Not sure why the reviews aren't higher!

I love this dog park. Dog owners are courteous, plenty of poo bags and tennis balls to go around, dogs go mostly off leash and are gentle with one another. There is a closed-off area for fetch, a small-dog-only area, and a water feature (small canal). read more

Great park and area. However the people kill the experience. I live closer to this park than the sandy dog park, but i recommend going to the sandy park instead. The people are a lot more dog friendly. Draper dog park often have little kids whose parents are put out if your dog is running near them. I come to the dog park to let me dogs play with a judgement free zone. If you don't want friendly dogs coming up to you or your kids... don't come to a dog park. People also don't clean up after their pets. A lot of poop on the paved walks for my dogs to try to sniff out. This has been the consistent culture with each visit. read more

This parks has some great positives including separate small/large dog pay areas with separate entrances. Large area with frisbies, small cricks and dog bowls for filling with water. There is also a hose and plenty of trash cans/baggies and the park was very clean. The biggest downfall was the large dog area is completely covered in small rocks and dirt. It tore up our pitbulls paws who loves to run, fast and hard and often times skids when catching his toys or playing. The small dog area is covered in grass & that would be much more desirable vs. the rocky ground. read more

I was very excited for this park when I heard about it, but I don't think they should have opened it yet. The water in it is absolutely disgusting. My dogs all ran to play in it and it turned their fur slimy and black, and smelled absolutely horrid. There are signs posted saying that they're working on the water problem but why open the park if basically the main attraction for dogs isn't even suitable for them. Both of my dogs were up all night throwing up and are super sick today after playing in the water there. I do not recommend taking your dogs here at all! read more

This park is terrible. We drove down from Salt Lake City to try it out. The water was stagnant and smelled like sulfur and with water dogs, it's impossible to keep them out. The park is pretty small also. I would t recommend it until they fix the water system. read more

If they can figure out how to keep the water flowing, this will be a great dog park. But until then, the stagnant water is smelly, attracts mosquitoes, and can possibly make our dogs sick -- so, I won't be going back until it's fixed. read more

LOVE THIS PARK. I take my pup here almost everyday and he never gets sick of it. Always at least one other dog there your pup can play with.

Great idea, but the water feature is poorly executed. I'm not sure if it is run off water, but it is disgusting and my dog stinks after being in that water. I see the intent, but I try to keep my dog away from the water. Clean that up and I would give it 5 stars. read more

I have taken my dog here many times and I always refer people because of how clean it is, today however was a complete disgusting mess. The water was a very dark and murky color. It smelled terrible. Normally there is loose gravel everywhere including between the bigger rocks near the water to cover the mud but not today. My dog was covered in mud as soon as he went into the water. I mean COVERED with black mud. I saw that there were big piles of gravel so idk if they were doing maintenance but I didn't see anyone spreading it. Then I went to hose him off when we were leaving and the hose was broken. It was ripped at the bib and sprayed everywhere but the end of the hose. I really hope they get this fixed and back to how it was cause I won't be back till then and it was by far been the best dog park in Utah. read more
