Are we allowed to shout "boooo" on Yelp because I have a good 45 second booo for The Joint. For real. Have had a very difficult time having problems with service or care resolved. Multiple experiences have led me to believe The Joint has neither care for their patients nor integrity in their word or deed. Their mistake left me with a giant bruise one on occasion. Difficult to walk for 3 days. Spoke to them. They immediately sent me to corporate who told me, "we can't talk to you about this because you're likely to sue us." I suppose one would expect this from a company who requires membership to use them. If they were able to do what they promise, market themselves on, and communicate to you they wouldn't require a membership-- you'd just come back. Lots of turnover. Lack of care for your needs. No privacy with medical conversations. Lack of integrity. Again, Just would not recommend at all.

I would encourage everyone to go to this class it's very helpful in leading a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Shetlin shares his knowledge on the cellular, metabolic and neurological science behind healthy eating & healthy living. He also goes over a wide range of things from REM sleep to accident physics. Dr. Shetlin is a very wise and kind man. He as well as his staff have truly made me feel apart of the South Jordan Chiropractic family. I am more grateful than words can express to have met him and his staff many years ago. I used to have horrible lower back pain that I feared I would always have. After completing the suggested plan that Dr. Shetlin created for me I don't have issues with my lower back like I used to. I continue to visit the office when needed, which is only a few times a year now. I always feel so welcomed and cared for by the staff. They are knowledgeable, considerate and constructive. I have been to other chiropractors in the past and have never met one quite as knowledgeable and helpful as Dr. Jay Shetlin.

I'd understand if I was just recovering from an accident and insurance was covering it, but I'm just there for a quick crack and dash. She tells me it's required and its an additional $99 on top of the $70 adjustment. No mention of this prior. Good customer service would've been "Hey we'll do this for free because we dropped the ball and wasted your morning.". but no. I told her my frustration and left am hour 20 after I got there. I usually don't ever write reviews but wanted to share my experience at Dr. Horselys…read more I got in a car accident not too long ago and right after my car got rear-ended, I didn't think/feel injured enough to need a doctor or any medical support. Of course, about four days later, I started having soreness around my upper back and a pinch in my neck. "Great... This is going to stink.." - I thought to myself. My wife recommended I should go to Dr. Horsley Chiropractic because she used to go and loved it. My first thought was no (Because we live in Orem and I didn't want to make the 45 minute drive there and 45 minute drive back). She was quite adamant about me going and said I'd enjoy it, so I made the drive. When I got to his office his assistant was quick to take me back and put me on the muscle stimulation (which I found that they do every single time) while Dr. Horsley was working on someone else. When he finished he came over and greeted me. (I totally understood why my wife recommended him); He is really genuine and just helps you feel at home. I told him what had happened, I got manually adjusted, and then he used his Pro Adjuster. After the adjustments, he sent me over to finish up using the Aqua Massage Bed (which also is for our use every single time). We then set up an easy schedule plan and I was happy to come back. I just finished up my adjustments yesterday and wanted to let anyone else know, that may be looking into chiropractors, that he does an awesome job and is highly recommended! - Casey A

*** First of all, there is a one star review here complaining about billing by their psychologist…read more I believe that this review is misplaced as Mountain West Chiropractic has no psychologist. Came here to try them out through a Facebook special for $49 which provided a free soft wave treatment. Trying to find a doctor that I feel very comfortable with. I wish I could remember the doctor's name, but he was very informative and pleasant as was his receptionist. I enjoyed getting to know him and talking about a common interest that we have. Soft wave is a miracle treatment that, of course, insurance companies do not cover because, of course, the AMA doesn't give it a billing code. This defies logic and common sense, of course, because the insurance companies would rather cover much more expensive treatments and procedures instead of this highly cost effective and just plain effective treatment. If you've seen any ads for soft wave treatment with patients suffering from joint pain or stiffness or other ailments, they are true. Let me tell you about my story. I had tweaked an injury to my right shoulder almost a year and a half ago. This limited my mobility and kept me from doing active things like throwing a ball. Even simple things like putting on a necktie or washing my back. There were definite movements that I could not do without pain or limited mobility, like reaching up high. This doctor gave me at least 15 minutes of soft wave therapy (it felt like longer) and it's crazy!--it works immediately. I could reach higher and every mobility issue improved. Doing soft wave instead of surgery? No brainer. I wish this had been available years ago so that I didn't have to go through partially successful surgery that took many sessions of PT for only partial recovery. The technology behind it is that it increases blood flow, can increase bone density, and as far as I can understand, sort of "tricks" cells into a self-healing mode. You can research this yourself, though, it's not the purpose of this review. And of course, it has been in use in Europe for years before the US approved of it. Invented by German doctors to shatter kidney stones. After the soft wave therapy, he gave me an additional treatment with some sort of supplemental electromagnet treatment that also works in deep tissue. It was a pad that produced pulses. I don't remember the exact name of this treatment. His prices are comparable to everyone else's. I would definitely recommend that you try him out. When my financial situation improves, I'm definitely going to pursue this and make an appointment. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
