I have not received enough Chiropractic care from Ohana to write a review on that aspect of the office, but I have heard good things. Dr. Joe also provides Kangen water, supplements, and a weight loss program, that I don't know too much about. What I will write about is the energy healing he does there. At first I was skeptical about the energy healing therapies that he uses. It seemed too easy, too good to be true. But after years of getting treatments from him and learning about the methods he uses I know that what he does is real and effective and that he is a capable and talented practitioner. NAET Nambudripad's Allergy Elimnation Techniques are a system of figuring out what your allergies are and getting rid of them. It is quick, easy, and painless. To find what you're allergic to, or see if any problems you're having are caused by an allergy, Dr. Joe uses Kinesiology (muscle testing) to ask your body yes or no questions. Muscle testing is amazing. I am impressed with how easy Dr. Joe makes it look. I have learned how to do it myself and it's pretty hard, but I've had experiences that prove that it works. I will share one with you here. I muscle tested that an allergy to a beelike insect sting was causing me some problems and I needed to know what species it was. I looked up a taxonomic chart online and started at the top. I muscle tested which kingdom, phylum, class, order, etc. to click on to get to the exact species. The names I was clicking on were Latin gibberish that meant nothing to me. I could've ended up at hippopotamus or sea sponge but it led me straight to a species of wasp! I was amazed that I'd clicked on the right things to get me there. Once he knows what to treat you for he will have you hold a sample in your hand and run a machine down your spine while he has you breathe in different ways. After massaging certain points on your hands, arms, and feet, you hold the sample for eight minutes. Then you have to avoid the thing for which you were treated for twenty-five hours. After that time your allergy will be completely gone. Sometimes it's not that easy and there are more sources to your problems. But a lot of the time it works. After getting NAET treatments my depression, diarrhea, and spasmodic jerking, went from happening three or more times a week to happening once every few months if at all. Sometimes the effects are subtle. Sometimes they're amazing. I've seen a rat's tumor dissolve after a series of treatments. Body Code I don't have a full grasp of what the Body Code does but I have had experience with the 'trapped emotions' side of it. Ohana sells a book called the Emotion Code, which teaches that the energy of negative emotions can get trapped in your body and cause you physical and emotional harm. With muscle testing Dr. Joe can find out what emotions are trapped, where they are in your body, what they're harming, and what happened in your life to make you feel that emotion if you can't remember. Once you know enough Dr. Joe runs a magnet down your spine a few times and the emotion is released. The first time Dr. Joe released a trapped emotion for me, which was an emotion of unworthiness trapped in my chest, I felt euphoric. Like a burden had been lifted. Since then I've released a lot of trapped emotions and it doesn't often feel so strong, but I have seen results. Pains and aches in my body have left instantly. Acne has cleared up. My pet's bad behavior has stopped. My mood has improved. Recently my sister told our family she'd been feeling deeply depressed and suicidal so I took her to Ohana. Using NAET and The Body Code (emotion code +) Dr. Joe was able to clear up her depression one-hundred percent. I feel very grateful to Dr. Joe and what he does. Pricing Last time I went in Dr. Joe charged thirty-five dollars a visit for energy treatments like this. I believe that Nambudripad herself tells practitioners not to charge under fifty. I've heard of people charging up to eighty. Also he does as much per session as your body can handle rather than having the payment be for just one thing. Usually it's about one NAET treatment and a couple trapped emotion releases before your body needs to detoxify for a couple of days before you can do any more. I doubt you'd be able to find a practitioner as capable, affordable, friendly, and caring, as Dr. Joe. read more

Office There at the office their receptionist is friendly. The Doctor is very nice and to the point. I feel like if he didn't feel he'd be able to help me with a certain problem then he would tell me. I feel like he genuinely wants to help people get well. Every time I go to his office I feel like I learn something new. He seems really knowledgeable. They also have a kids room and I always see kids in there having a lot of fun. Chiropractic I've been going to Dr. Joe for quite a long time and one thing that I've always noticed and loved about him is he is always trying to learn and get better at what he does. He was always a great chiropractor but when I visit him it seems he is always learning better ways to do things for certain people. I don't adjust as easily as some people so some chiropractors seem to have a problem with that. He has patiently learned how to do things best for me personally. Oh and he is AMAZING at fixing shoulders, hips and knees, not just your back! I've had a very good experience with all of those things. NAET There at the office they do this allergy elimination technique. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical at first. They do muscle testing (applied kinesiology) which at the time I had never heard of. It's a simple way to test if something is good for you or if you have an allergy to it or anything. You can learn to do it yourself (which I have now) but Dr. Joe is amazing at it. Then he uses acupressure to actually eliminate those allergies. I think what one me over the most was when someone I knew to be anaphylactic to peanuts went to him and then a week later I saw her eat a handful of trail mix in the office with absolutely no reaction whatsoever! Then he helped me get over the chronic fatigue that I had had for years. I'd gone to multiple medical doctors for various things and they seemed to never know what was wrong with me. I've also always had anxiety since I was little. I've tried psychiatrists and medication and nothing totally worked ever but now I can say I am anxiety free because of Dr. Joe. If anything ever comes up I now can take care of it on my own from what he's taught me. I can't thank him enough that I was able to travel a lot for the first time this year. I never have gone anywhere before because of anxiety and motion sickness and now neither is a problem for me! Supplementation The supplements he sells at his office work better than any other supplements I have ever tried hands down. While other high quality supplements would take at least a week to work the ones he sells always take three days and then I notice a huge difference. Over the past seven months I have done NAET/emotion code treatments. I actually did the initial treatments with another practictioner and now go to Dr. Joe and Dr. Luster for fine tuning. I dealt with the depression monster for 12 years. During the last 2 1/2 years I have sought to get to the root of it. Was there another answer or did I just need to be on Prozac the rest of my life? If, after searching diligently the answer was to stay on the anti-depressant, then I would. I was led to discovere that diet has a lot to do with emotional health. Bloodwork showed high markers for sensitivity to gluten and dairy,especially. So, I modified my diet about 80%. It began to make a difference. Then I was introduced to the Emotion Code and Feelings Buried Alive Never Die, as well as the power of writing out my feelings about anything and everything and getting rid of it. This made a HUGE difference. Then I found NAET and decided it certainly could not hurt. The clearing out of buried/trapped emotions in connection with getting rid of allergens has been tremendous. I firmly believe that allergens and trapped emotions are connected. My bloodwork now shows normal levels with dairy and gluten. I have been eating them for quite some time. I am currently working to get candida and thyroid levels normal. Does this happen overnight? No. It takes time and the peeling away of layers. Is it worth it? Absolutely. My children and husband have also done NAET/emotion code treatments, with very good results. My son has stopped having seasonal allergy issues, just to name one success. The chiropractic help has been extremely beneficial as well. The doctors in this office are very approachable and friendly. I recommend ALWAYS including emotion code work with the NAET and chiropractic. I make a list of emotions/feelings/challenges the family member is going through each time we go. I really don't think it is enough to just do NAET. That is my experience, anyway. I am so glad there is another alternative to pills and covering up the real issues. My name is Enid Livingston. I suffer from text book symptoms of "spinal degeneration" which include: neck pain, severe pain radiating down my shoulder blades and arms, arm weakness, and difficulty with hand dexterity and walking. I started noticing increased pain and problems in about 2005. At the time I was seeing another chiropractor but was not getting any relief for my pain. The pain was steadily worsening and had gotten so bad, that after sitting at my computer at work for 30 minutes or so, I would literally be in tears and would have a hard time getting through the work day. My pain kept getting worse over time and I finally got so I couldn't raise my arms and was struggling to hold or lift even light objects. Every single day was a challenge due to the pain. I was excited when I found Ohana Chiropractic because of all the alternative options they have available. I'm still trying to figure out what everything is that they have available. I have been going to Dr. Brian Massimini for about a month now. Both my husband and I got sick over the weekend. Mine came through as a sinus infection and my husbands went right to his chest. He is sick for at least a month when that happens and I just can't have that happening anymore. I called the office and asked what they had that could help us and they were able to get us right in. Dr. Massimini did a cranial adjustment on me and I felt my sinus open up. He had us both lay on some beds and he ran a light wave thing on us for 10 minutes. When it was done I could tell that it helped. My husband still coughed all that night and i was quite worried but he felt much better the next day as well. It has now been 36 hours since treatment and we both woke up feeling much improved today. These colds are on there way out much quicker than before. I must say that Ohana Chiropractic has helped my family immensely. His NAET therapy has made it possible to have pets in the house w/o my problem of a strong allergic reaction. I can visit my mother's house without my eyes burning and watering after 15 min. He cured my daughter's cough after other traditional Doctors failed. There are something's that NATE therapy was unable to cure completely but I don't expect it to cure everything. I have many health problems that he has helped me with including general chiropractic care. Dr. Joe and his staff are friendly, professional and go out of their way to make you feel like family. The free educational classes that he gives are an example of his going out of his way to help you. I have had Chiropractic help from the other Doctors in the office and have been very satisfied with their treatments. Dr. Joe is amazing! I have had back trouble for years and other chiropractic doctors were not able to help me very much. My sacrum was the biggest problem. I am a school bus driver for special needs children and my family doctor told me that I needed to stop driving. I could not afford to do that, so I just suffered. If I went on a road trip I would have to stop every two hours to do stretches & bends to relieve the pain. Thanks to Dr. Joe I live a normal life now. He takes his time to listen to me and I feel that my health & comfort are really important to him. I try to see him monthly now, just to keep everything in good working order. We have been to this office three times and have been treated very well every time. He seems to know what he is doing and keeps a beautifully maintained office. My boys were treated with the NAET allergy program almost ten years ago. They both had bad hayfever and were miserable at times during the summer. The treatment worked and they are still allergy free. It was by a different doctor but using the same technic that is used in this clinic. I was very skeptical at first and thought there was no way that it could work. I was very surprised and happy when it did work. I would recommend anyone with allergies try this method. I've been seeing the doctors there over the past year. I'm 70 years old. Dr. Joe and the other doctors are so gentle during my adjustments. No cranking my neck, yanking or pulling. What I love about Ohana is how personable the staff are.
