He was acting very strange and scared and also confused. We stayed longer I talked to him and we waited for them to close because we thought someone else was there and then I asked him to point her out he did! Then he said SHE HIT ME and called me a puppy he demonstrated and then said she made me cry and made me angry. (She didn't call him a puppy, she in fact was Hispanic and called him papi).The owner is African the teachers are mostly Hispanic one is about 23 who was in fact his teacher! They are all liars and I would never recommend this place, it's hazardous my Grandson still randomly tells people about the incident it's been 5 months we still don't have him in daycare . It's funny that they had a video of him catching a tantrum and not of when he ran away to go to the restroom after the same lady threatened him that he wouldn't have pizza which is his favorite. She ran behind him and beat him in the bathroom pinching his ears and all. I really think she doesn't like black kids. They cover for each other and lie. He is traumatized! We are too and very hurt! The director will feed you a bunch of nonsense because she protects her teachers not the students she doesn't care about those kids she has multiple locations and should not be around kids. The Montessori approach has nurtured our child's curiosity and independence. Both of our children attend HGMS and we love and appreciate Ms. Fatema so much that I requested her to be my daughter's teacher as well when it was time to enroll our second child. She is extremely caring and treats her students as if they were her own kids. The entire staff are dedicated and supportive, providing a stimulating environment filled with engaging materials. Communication has been excellent, keeping us informed about our child's progress and upcoming activities by providing us with weekly reports and photos and not to mention I communicate with the staff on a daily if I have anything that needs to be addressed (mostly in regards to my daughters asthma or just checking in on how she's behaving). We highly recommend Harvest Green Montessori to anyone seeking a nurturing and enriching educational environment for their child. He was in Transition 1 with the most incredible teachers (Ms Lina & Ms Maya) whom he loved. The problem was he wasn't learning anything new and began to regress being with the younger kids. He was too advanced academically for Transition but when I asked for him to move up to Primary they wouldn't because he wasn't "fully potty trained". Fully potty trained for them meant needing ZERO assistance in the restroom. Well he's 3! He can do everything he just needs help with cleaning himself when he poops. As most 3 year old do. After NUMEROUS exhausting conversations and emails with the Director, teacher in Primary 1 and team there they were ALL adamant that he must be fully potty trained needing no assistance. The primary teacher was set she could/would not help him. Which meant if my 3 year old son didn't clean himself good or at all when pooped no one would know and he would be LEFT TO SIT IN HIS FECES. They only helped with obvious accidents. I couldn't imagine letting any child in my care walk around like that. It's neglect! Ms Lina in Transition 1 volunteered to come help if he needed it but to no avail. So the "best" they would do is let him visit the Primary class 2 hours a day. Which wasn't good enough because even though he enjoyed it, he didn't get the full experience to grow since he still had to be with the 1-2 year olds. So $20,000+ later we withdrew him because leaving him with the babies majority of the day to continue to regress wasn't an option. After a year there instead of growing as advertised and expected he started baby talking at home. This is a kid who knows all 50 states AND their capitals. Can write his name and has a photogenic memory. He was reciting his alphabet and counting to 20 at 15 months. And reading full sentences by 2.5 years old. All of this from what we do with him AT HOME. NOT from anything at HGM. We expected him to excel there. After all it's Montessori and supposed to be the best. In December 2023 I found out only 1-2 of the Primary teachers are actually Montessori certified. Shouldn't they all be since that's supposed to be the foundation for the school? I also found out other parents had the same issue with neglecting them in the restroom and withdrew their kids as well. There should be some checks and balances in place and a teacher assigned to ensure kids aren't sitting around in their feces all day. Disgusting. All in all we had a very expensive babysitter. Not the academic excellence we expected and paid for. Nice facility. Amazing teachers in Transition 1 who did the max they could. He became more social and exposed to soccer and taekwondo which he excelled at. He still gets to do them so he's not missing out socially. He learned more at home and has been very persistent with telling us he doesn't want to go back. We may consider other schools in the area who have better systems in place later. For now he's where we known he gets the best care - HOME.

The counselors that ran the projects were all pretty helpful but some of them came off as abrasive and cold towards the kids which, obviously, I didn't appreciate. However, there was one staff person who ran the pendulum room that was AMAZING with the kids. She had the patience of a saint and explained the physics of the pendulum along with all of the artsy stuff they were doing very well. We had booked the space for over 14 guests so we wound up paying extra for that. It was very VERY expensive to host a party here (it came out to about $415 which included the $100 deposit), but if you're looking for a creative alternative to the run of the mill birthday party, this works really well.

You know anytime children have a chance to make noise in a place that you bring them to have fun, they will not spare those decibels! The children were treated to dressing as a fairy, designing and building a home that would be in an enchanted forest, if such a thing existed. That included glitter and moss to make sure the house was pretty! The girls also dipped their hands in salts to soften their skin so when they put on makeup and polish their fingers, they were feeling pretty and pampered. All in all, it was a great time had by the girls, and the facilities are decent. The staff ensured each female left happy, so I could not ask for more from them. Professional, friendly staff mixed with multiple activities for your child leads to good memories. Consider them the next time you have a birthday party to throw. Also look in them for the multiple scholastic enhancement programs designed to get your kid growing in multiple areas of life.
