Cinnamon French Toast
Lindsey P.

It's a cute hole in the wall in Shelby township. Usually have just one server on so service is slow but it's a small place with only 10 booths so it's not hard to flag her down or get her attention if you need something. Food is really good here. Cheap prices also. Amazing biscuits and gravy, they cook the bacon crispy and it was delicious and every piece was cooked evenly and same. If you're in the area and want to try some good breakfast but aren't in a hurry come give drakes a try.

Homemade Hollandaise sauce absolutely amazing

One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time! Definitely a hole in the wall you'd have to try!

Great breakfast. Very reasonably priced.

Everyone enjoyed their food and the food sizing were perfect especially with the pricing (average pricing for bar food). I ordered a philly steak sub w/ seasoned fries and along with chips/spinach dip (that was a meal itself and it came with 2 breadsticks) - it was so good. What i did notice was my friend order a side salad for additional $1.99 but her friend ordered a salad as meal which cost about $15.00 - i would say they looked like the same size; so be aware. Plenty of parking! If i had to go back i'll definitely would but the distance from my house i wouldn't go out my way. There are ALOT of TVs with music videos and sports; you can barely hear the music playing which is good i guess especially since you want to be able to touch to your friends. Happy Eating!

The dining area is filled with TVs and the music is a bit louder, which honestly worked in our favor. It helped mask the occasional kid meltdown and kept everyone entertained. For the kids, we ordered two chicken nugget meals with fries and a kids' cheese pizza. The nuggets were a little on the peppery side for younger taste buds, so we ended up pulling some of the breading off--but overall still a decent option. My husband ordered the Sunshine Burger and I went with the classic cheeseburger. Since it was Monday, we took advantage of their $10.99 burger special, which made it an even better deal. Both burgers were surprisingly really good--we don't usually order burgers when dining out, but these were absolutely worth it. Overall, Bubba's 33 is a solid, family-friendly spot with good food and a laid-back atmosphere. We'd definitely recommend it, especially for an easy night out with kids.

Visited a very special place this morning that left us longing to return... "Host" of Utica! We…read moresaw their 4.8-star Google review out of 1,124 people and had to swing by and check it out. Well, I'll raise you 1.2 for 5 stars for Host!! Ample street parking on a Wednesday morning in Utica (also public on south side), hubby & I walked past a few businesses and into Host and immediately somehow felt we'd been elevated! The ambience is edgy and elegant giving off an elite vibe matched by the informative attentive staff and everything that was set before us. The barista approached us immediately taking our latte orders from a versatile coffee menu, and our lovely waitress Bailey didn't miss a beat welcoming us, fielding questions and sharing the restaurant's cool concept of "Host"-ing new chefs bimonthly representing freshly-curated menus of palate delights. She later informed us of classes held on 2nd floor for making cocktails and sushi! While enjoying our lovely lattes, we quickly ordered veggie omelets with mushroom and bacon additions that were timely served and clearly plated with care. My husband noticed there were no salt & pepper shakers anywhere, signifying the chef's confidence in his dishes! And indeed our meals needed no help, as we savored each bite of perfectly cooked omelets bursting with flavor complimented by crisp sliced potatoes dressed in a lemon drizzle. Easily the best omelet I've had in my hometown, probably in my state! I made sure to compliment the chef through the open pass-through kitchen on our way out after lingering after our meals not wanting to rush out of this lovely place. What a beautiful start to the day; we can't wait to return with more family!! Thank you for "Host"-ing us!!

There aren't many gluten free options for snacks but they did have gluten free crackers for the whitefish dip and their fries were gluten free. Honestly, I wasn't the biggest fan of their fries. They had a strong oil taste and the irregular cuts made it so that they weren't all cooked homogeneously. I did like the nice amount of freshly grated parmesan on top though. I can't remember the name of the cocktail I had but it was named after a city. My husband tried the basque cheesecake and really liked it. I think it wasn't made by the restaurant if I remember correctly. The pizzas that I saw going back looked great and you could watch the guy making them. It would be lovely to have a gluten free crust option :)

What an exceptional dining experience. I lived literally around the corner from the corner house,…read morebut i had been living in California most my life and come home to visit my family. And all this time I had never had an opportunity to eat at the corner house. Finally, the day came this past week. I have to say the service, the food and the ambience are all spot on. I'll even go as hard as to say that the value for the quantity of food you get is pretty decent compared to most places these days. I was in town recently for a few days and made my very first visit. I tried the classic gyro. It was really good. Made with fresh ingredients and it was a pretty decent portion. A day later went again, this time for breakfast. I had basic eggs and hashbrowns with toast and sausage. It was very good and a reasonable serving portion as well. The rest of the family also enjoyed their meals. It goes without saying that I highly recommend the corner house if you're in the neighborhood. Bon appetite

9 tables inside, 6 counter seats, more seating on their heated patio…read more Ordered green tea and black coffee, Turkey Rueben, added turkey bacon, extra kraut, Greek salad, feta on the side, greek omelette, yogurt parfait and a fruit cup. $72.05 They charge you here to use CC, of course they would. :/ They serve the same Kirkland green tea from Costco that I have, comes in a big box. The Rueben finally has a good amount of kraut to make the sandwich, the bread was born dry, although toasted, maybe sour dough, not the bread I was hoping to get. The hash browns are really dry, just browned on the top. The Greek omelet was so-so, not much to it, kind of bland boring. The yogurt wasn't so-so, better without the raisins though. My husband discovered a white stringy and wiry object in the yogurt. We couldn't figure out what it was, maybe from the dish scrubber or something in the kitchen? The Greek salad has a lot of dried and old looking sliced onions, maybe from yesterday and the English cucumbers look rather dried out as well. The lettuce is mostly iceberg, some spinach added to it. It's not so good. Prefer romaine at the least. The dreaded cut yellow peppers, not my preferred. Had a small white string or lint on my spinach, good thing it was towards the end of my salad consumption, stopped me eating the rest of the salad. Service from our waitress was good. The manager or more senior staffer asked how my food was. I told her about the wiry string in our yogurt and Greek salad. She asked why we hadn't told the waitress, I explained my husband isn't a fan of bringing up issues at all, that's why I bring it up discreetly. After much admonishment from her, I regretted even bringing it up at all. I felt I was being berated after a few minutes of constant admonishment. I wanted to get the heck out of there quickly after paying. She was clearly upset with us.
