The carpet didn't look much better when he was done, and two months later, it looks much worse that if we hadn't had them "cleaned" at all. I was hoping the "zero residue" would prevent this, but it turns out the only difference is that they use purified water. We are going to have to hire another company to come in and clean properly just to get the carpet to look as good as it did before Zerorez came out to "clean" it.

I scheduled a dryer vent service through Vent Wizard, but the technician who arrived tried to upsell me , high-cost projects ($1,100-$1,500). When I declined, he offered to "cut a hole in the wall for the vent hose" for $400 -- then asked me to pay him personally via Venmo or a separate check written to his own name, not the company. He spent several hours at my home, left holes in my walls, and scratched my brand-new hardwood floors by dragging the dryer without any floor protection. When I contacted the franchise owner, he admitted the work "looked horrible" but refused to take responsibility, claiming I had "hired a handyman." That's absolutely false -- the technician arrived in a Vent Wizard van, wore a Vent Wizard shirt, and represented himself as their employee until time for payment! Now I'm left with damaged walls, unsafe vent work, and ruined flooring -- with zero accountability from Vent Wizard. I strongly caution others to avoid this company. The franchise owner is unprofessional and horrible to deal with. These are franchised and Neighborly who owns this company has a "neighborly done right promise" but no email or way to file a complaint. I had a guy come out from Dryer Vent Wizzed and it turned out that he was new and didn't explain to…read moreme what was needed. I thought he was talking about PVC venting so I misunderstood what he was telling me I needed to do. He was young and I think I scared him half to death. We're in the process of remodeling our house and after this kid came to the house, my contractor pointed out how much lint was in the aluminum vent material and recommended exactly what that poor kid and Ramon, the owner of Dryer Vent Wizards franchise recommended. I had someone else set up to clean it but when both my contractor and my HVAC guy, neither of which get money or more business, tell me exactly what Ramon recommended, I had Ramon come out. He was so nice and he didn't try to sell me anything. He was going to get as much lint out as possible. Things outside and inside looked pretty nasty. I ended up getting metal pipe and I asked him to do the installation.He pointed out something my contractor had also mentioned. If we went to sell the house, the foil vent hose would be flagged in an inspection. That just happened to a co-worker. My clothes weren't drying and the laundry room was so hot. I know it's a big fire hazard and I have pets. If both my contractor and my HVAC guy tell me I need the pipe, I'll trust both so I had Ramon replace the foil with the metal vent. I was very surprised at how much it cost to change out the foil tubing with a pipe. I was expecting to pay a fortune. Considering how much vent he replaced, it cost a fraction of what I thought it would cost. His work comes with a lifetime warranty that goes with the house. Any future buyers will have that vent covered for life. My clothes are I'm drying in far less time than before the installation and it's no longer so hot when I do laundry. That'll save me both the cost of gas in running the dryer longer and the cost of increased AC. If you're upset or you've had a bad experience, call Ramon because he will try to do everything in his power to make it right. There was so much lint and dirt behind the dryer, he vacuumed up everything he could get and then he actually cleaned the floor with a towel and cleaner. Good luck finding any other worker who will actually clean the floor and wall. He checked that the water hoses were working. He went above and beyond what any other company would do.
