The best Birria tacos I have ever eaten is how we started. Then we walked about Maryam was so thorough is her descriptions of the art and artists in the neighborhood! Next food stop was samosas, delicious and the restaurant was beautiful!! More art then we had a tropical sandwich that was to die for-mozzarella, tomato, basil, mango and pineapple-such a unique and delicious sandwich. The vinaigrette that was in the sandwich I bought a bottle to bring home More art and food stop #4 Joe's Pizza-new York style foldable and everything. More murals and then a cookie from Night Owl. We loved hearing the stories about the commissioned artists, some of their trademarks to notice as we walked around, and the different mediums they use to 'paint' their murals. All in all we met great people, ate fantastic food, and saw some beautiful, meaningful art. We ended at the Wynwood museum, we could explore there as long as we wished. Highly recommend!!!

I was told a marathon was impacting traffic, but as a traveler who planned ahead and arrived on time, this is something the company should have anticipated and communicated more clearly. I also spent about $80 in Uber fees just getting to the meeting location, which added to the frustration. To their credit, the guide later connected me with the first food stop and arranged for tacos and issued a full refund, which I appreciated. However, the bigger disappointment was the lost opportunity--I could have booked a drag show or another tour during that time instead of waiting. Customer service tried to make things right after the fact, but better planning, proactive communication, and respect for guests' time would have made a big difference.

Its all culturally narrated with stops that include cigar factory, Domino Park, Callejon Del Gallo, Ice Cream, Cuban Memorial, classic cars, and the theatre. NOTE: As self-professed coffee snob (Jamaican Blue Mountain, Kona Hawaiian, ect) this was added to my list! Less is best when it comes to Cuban coffee. Very rich and powerful little cup. The locals warned us to sip slow, woke me right up and offered good advice on adding sweetened condensed milk. Cost 5/5 $69.99 As a self-proclaimed high low girl, this tour was right up my alley. A good cultural tour which included food, drinks, historical facts, and opportunities to socialize. I also purchased food from the bakery, cigars, Cuban coffee, drinks, and souvenirs. I had plenty of leftovers and was full when it ended. This tour is included on the "Top 10 Food Tours in the U.S." for a reason, worth the cost. Location was central and rich with cultural from the elders in Domino Park playing dominions to the colorful roosters nearby. Great experience, I learned a lot. The good: This was a 3-4 star experience. I booked a…read moresnorkeling tour for 2 for my husband's birthday thru their website. It was easy to book and they had lots of availability. The best part of the trip was how we had the boat exclusively to ourselves! I didn't know it'd be a private tour until the day I came. So, the boat was just a total of 3 people (captain included). The water temperature was great and the clarity was decent. We even saw two dolphins! You meetup at Whiskey Joe's at the marina and you can start your excursion immediately. I liked that you didn't need to wait around much. I was able to see some cool looking fish, a bottom feeder and a crab. You get 2 hours for the snorkeling and you're not required to wear any life vests (in fact, we weren't offered any and I didn't see any). The water is super shallow so it didn't seem dangerous at all. The water is also salty and easy to float in. The boat was nearby the main snorkeling area. The bad: The area for snorkeling was pretty small. It was an artificial reef where the fish were but outside of that area there is just seagrass and there's no living things to observe. The website says snorkeling starts at $75/pp and up but that's misleading b/c that's only the price if you have 8+ people. When I came to the marina, the worker who had me sign paperwork said that "$25/hour tip is required" when I got an email saying 15% tip is optional. My husband clarified and he said "yes, it's required" but later retracted his statement after I clarified that it was strange to give tip upfront before we even went on the excursion. However, I did already give 15% tip upfront on 50% of the value and then Zelled an additional $25 tip to the captain himself afterward. The cost for snorkeling ended up being $407 for 2 people (pricey). The interesting: The captain swam with us to lead us to the reef and then swam back and was mostly on his phone.

You can tell sh'e been doing this for some time as she's prepared with a towel in case you want to clean up your seat and off to repel the mosquitoes in Coconut Grove. Sandy points out nuances that she sees and has heard first hand about spirits but you'll see multiple optical illusions and hear several stories from the past. There's an activity where Sandy makes you walk about 300 ft away towards a wall and everybody will observe any changes. Here she will point out changes in color and how the person gets fuzzy as they walk way (well, maybe they are a bit far away) or how some overweight person doesn't appear smaller while they walk away (well, he's larger than the rest of us!!) I had a good laugh out of it!

Let me preface by saying, we found a Groupon for this tour ($28 for two people), which changes my…read morereview a bit. Note, at the current rate listed on the tour website ($26 per adult & $17 per child 8-12), this tour is not worth it. The Good: Sandy is a very nice, very pleasant, well spoken woman who seems to have an illustrious career in ghost tours. She knows Coconut Grove very well, and has a passion for her subject matter. She even carried extra bug spray and allowed participants to use it (Pro tip: if you go, bring bug spray). The Not-So-Good: Sandy has real potential as a story teller. However, she's not there yet. Her stories tend to ramble on, and simply aren't that interesting. Rather than focus on historical elements which lead to the current hauntings, she chooses at times to focus on city politics. Her lack of storytelling, paired with her constant insistence on validating her ghost theories by you using your camera to catch "energy", it all begins to wear thin by the end of the night. You stop at 7 or 8 different places, she talks for too long, then you spend 10 minutes taking pictures. She then encourages you to show her what you've captured. Some in our group thought they captured energy on camera. However, look at poorly lit photos with cheap camera phones long enough, and you can see anything. This tour could be just as good as other ghost tours I've taken. However, in it's current form, it's simply not. We even kept our expectations in check, by understanding we would not be "ghost hunting" or entering any of the buildings. Even considering this, it's hard to recommend this tour. Bottom line - if you find a good Groupon price, and are looking for a decent walking tour of Coconut Grove, and are looking for 2.5 hours to throw away (and never get back), then give this a try. If your situation doesn't match any of the above, skip it.

She brought ponchos so we could continue on as it rained. It was beautiful to learn about and see this neighborhood through the eyes of someone who grew up here. Toni knows so much history and seemed to know so many of the people, too! The tour has so much food - I was honestly more than full at the end and I didn't even finish all of my portions. I think it was a really good range of drinks, desserts, and food. Even though that coffee cup looks small, that's a full serving size and it was strong! I really really appreciate that this tour not only accommodated for vegetarians but also chose options for me that were realllllly good. Instead of the cubano, I had these fried plantain cups stuffed with veggies. They were SO good and seasoned well! And the spinach and cheese empanada was also amazing. My friend who got the meat options also loved her food. This tour is the perfect way to learn more about Cuban history, the history of the neighborhood, see all the street art, watch a game at domino park, and experience some of the best food in Miami.
