Nice place withe great selection of food. My favorite is the General Tso's chicken, my wife gets excited about the Crab Rangoon. I really like the peanut butter chicken when they have it, about 2/3 of the time we go. There's a good mix of fried foods, desserts, sushi, and some 'standard American' stuff if you've got some picky kids. The food is good to very good, with a few great dishes if you're craving that particular thing. The staff are friendly and attentive. They maintain a nice balance of taking care of your needs and leaving you alone to enjoy your company. The value is wonderful, as one would expect from a buffet. Folks on a budget can still take the family out for a nice, big dinner without feeling like they're going to break the bank. read more

We tried this Chinese buffet today and can confidently say it was... an experience. The buffet was cold (like emotionally cold), the food was aggressively questionable, and every bite felt like a small act of bravery. We are now entering a 24-48 hour observation period to see if we survive any potential food-borne illnesses. If you don't hear from us again, please tell our story. On the bright side, it did cure us of ever wanting this buffet food again. read more

Food was dried out. Most containers held one or two servings. The proteins are less each time i visit. Today I saw signs this restaurant needs a thorough cleaning. The guy behind the desk is not there to make you feel welcome for sure. Staff turnover is high. read more

Stopped in yesterday for lunch right at noon. Was surprised that most of the food was warm. Nothing very hot and it all tasted like it was old. Just an ok experience if ya want a buffet read more

Excellent buffet with many options. The buffet was clean and everything was full. A nice staff that kept our drinks full.

My family loves Dragon Kitchen, we always come for take out. Food is plentiful and delicious.

If you're hungry and broke, this is the place to go. The food is always hot but the servers don't check up on you much. Went there once and I didn't even get ice in my drink. Overall its OK read more

It's pretty standard Chinese buffet fare, but done very well. Everything was fresh and delicious. The crab rangoon is particularly not to be missed. Clean, well stocked, plenty of seating. read more

Dragon Kitchen - Buffet - Chinese Near Me - Jefferson City, Missouri

A customer found a live caterpillar in the food. I won't ever be back. Food was ok until I saw that. I don't eat bugs

Great food. Great service. Amazing Atmosphere. There excellent staff is willing to assist you with your needs.

Is it the healthiest place in the world? No, is it good? YES, listen I'm not an expert but whatever they have here, is actually cooked, now with Buffets the health code is loosey Goocey but I can say that the health and the food is fresh and edible.I recommend. read more

Employee coughing nonstop the entire time we were there. They weren't even there to work just sitting there by our table while she coughed, sneezed, hacked loobies and would refill the occasional cup/drink. Absolutely disgusting. As we left to pay even the cashier was coughing & extremely rude. Won't be going back ANY time soon. Very disappointed. read more

Great buffet. Good service. Always enjoy the variety. Usually tasty hot food. Will be back.

Amazing food never disappoints wish they still had sesame seed balls though. Good service and desserts.

Food is really good here and probably the best spot I've ever been to as far as a buffet. There's a variety but also the thing is it's always fresh and usually the staff is pretty good about bringing out replacement trays for food asap. It's nice and intimate there for dining in but I also love take out. I would highly recommend. My favorite are the meatballs there and potato wedges as well as their peanut butter chicken and general tso. read more

I have been coming here for years. However when they opened the kitchen door, I saw how nasty their kitchen is. I spoke to a few ppl, who know the state inspectors personally. The state of Missouri knows that they keep getting in trouble for violations for lack of cleanliness, but they are still in business! Someone must be getting their pockets lined in order for show them to continue to fail inspections, and still be open for business. There is no excuse for such nastiness number 1, and number 2, the state needs to close their doors for good! read more

I can't believe what I saw. Upon leaving this place, on a counter less than a foot from the exit, I found a wallet. I brought it up to the cashier and the woman checking people out, who was as rude as the day is long, said that the counter, right next to the exit is the lost and found. Anyone can and most likely will grab that unsecured wallet. Any business that wouldn't take the tiny bit of effort to secure their patrons lost property, especially property of this importance is one I will NEVER walk into again. And Melissa, with the blue wallet showing your Missouri drivers license showing throw a clear window and a strap, I'm sorry. They wouldn't put your wallet behind the counter to keep it safe for you. read more

Food was soggy, greasy, and room temperature. Some of the worst we've had. It got very crowded with people coming in and filling take out boxes from the buffet. It was crazy! We found the food disgusting! The restaurant didn't feel inviting and the layout not the best. The buffet is just inside the doors. People standing in line to pay, blocked the seating section and were literally a few feet from the food. read more

Best Chinese buffet in Jefferson City for sure and one of the best I've ever had. They have recently upped their game. Even if you go in close to when they close they have everything stocked up and fresh! read more

I live around 70+ miles from Jeff City. I have eaten at Dragon Kitchen maybe five times. The food is awesome. I wish we were closer, I would go once a week. You cannot beat their prices either. We were there yesterday, and I am looking forward to going back. read more

Will not be going back here. They sat us in the back and one of the employees was coughing all over the place to the point she was hacking and everything while refilling glasses and dealing with customers. we said something to other employees and they did not do anything about it. When we left the person who works the cash registered was very rude. read more

The food was not very flavorful. The hostess was not very polite and was bossy toward customers and staff. The waiter that had us was great! It was just what you'd expect for a cheap, Chinese buffet. Everything looked nice and clean aside from the desert section. read more

Made fresh chinese buffet, best around, no doubt. Could be a little cleaner, less cluttered, but overall, it's good food! Hoping it's updated soon, but this place is definitely a landmark in JC! read more

Had the lunch buffet today. Been craving Chinese for a while. The good: $9.70 all in for buffet, soda and tax. The rest of the story: the food missed the mark. Nothing on this buffet tasted like what you would expect from a normal Chinese buffet. General Tsos chicken wasn't hot or spicy. Some kind of chicken I had tasted like fish. Too much fish sauce? Place was doing steady business for lunch, so buffet was restocked regularly. Cant say I went away hungry, just unfulfilled. read more

Food is below average, my chicken was pinkish purple, noodles were very dry, but that have a pretty big selection. Everything is dirty, and it made both of us sick after words. Service was ok though read more

The waitress yelled at us and was very disrespectful towards us on multiple occasions one night and other times we have been there.

Went there on Friday night. Half way through my meal I about swallowed a metal staple that was in my food! We eat there a lot, might start looking for another restaurant to eat at. They graciously gave us $2 off on our dinner. Talk about a slap in the face! If I would have swallowed that staple it would have cost them more than $2! Not impressed with their service at all. read more

This place 100% does not have curb appeal whatsoever but the food is amazing, Cheap buffet with a ton of variety and really good authentic Chinese. Lots of seating as well. Love their crab Rangoon. The service is also pretty good, have come here for years for Chinese in Jeff City. read more

The food was okay. The crab Rangoons very stale and chewy. The waitresses were very rude and disrespectful taking our plates and drinks without asking if we were done. read more

You never know when you go to a Chinese buffet what to expect. I must say the food was very good. Everything I tried was spiced and seasoned well. The place was super busy and it was hard to figure out who was coming into place or going out due to register at front door but the food made up for it. The service was excellent drink refilled timely and plates removed quickly. I tried black pepper shrimp, egg foo yong, peanut butter chicken, and cabbage. Will go back next time I. Am in Jeff city read more

This is my favorite Chinese buffet in Jefferson City. They have a ton of options and if you go during peak hours you're guaranteed to have hot food. A few years ago they expanded their seating and they are almost always busy. Take out is really the way I almost always go especially for lunch-you'll get plenty full, they even provide to-go soup bowls. I have been a long time goer of Dragon Kitchen and I will probably never stop. My sister complains she got sick once but I don't know what she ate. I never have... but I guess that's a chance you take on any buffet. It won't stop me! read more

Dragon Kitchen - Delicious! - Chinese Near Me - Jefferson City, Missouri

Pretty good Chinese buffet. They had a nice selection and I liked that they had quite a few veggies on the buffet (not just fried dishes---though don't get me wrong, I do love fried stuff). The egg drop soup was good and the crab rangoon was the best I've had in a long time. My only complaint was a server who didn't offer drink refills. We'll be back--glad to find a buffet we like in this town. read more

Hands down the BEST. So much variety and food is always hot and fresh... Been coming here for years! Will continue! Love love LOVE dragon kitchen. read more

I moved to Utah several years ago and the only place I really look forward to eating at on my yearly trip to Jeff City is Dragon Kitchen. The Chinese food in Utah is really terrible (so is our Mexican if your used to Midwest Mexican) so maybe it's deprivation or maybe it's that I used to eat Dragon Kitchen constantly but I love their food. The lemon pepper chicken with zuch is amazing. The General Tso's is spicy but it isn't over powering which is one reason I really like it. It's more enjoyable for everyone. You can't beat their crab recipes though. From the baked crab dish to the crab rangoon, and the mushrooms stuffed with the same ingredients as the crab rangoon their crab options are the way to go! read more

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Great portions. Love the peppered shrimp and sesame chicken, with house fried rice and house low mein. We have been coming here for years now and I have found no other location in Columbia or Jeff City that even comes close. read more

I was a little skeptical about this place. From the outside, there wasn't anything to look at besides the bright red sign. Once you're seated and everything, they'll have you take turns at the buffet so things don't get out of control. They have a variety of soups and a massive dessert bar. The Chinese food was oily in my opinion, but I know there is fine line between oily and greasy. For the price, there really isn't much to expect besides filling up just to get through temporary starvation. read more
