I have been dealing with back pain for weeks and randomly decided to go here to get a massage since…read morethey had a lower back pain therapy service listed on their page. I was not disappointed. My masseuse Nina was very focused from the beginning of the treatment. She asked me where my problem areas were before the service, and a couple of times again during the service. She asked me if there was any area that needed more attention after she focused on my back, and I told her my shoulders since I work at an office job. I think I'm just greedy I want everything rubbed for a while lol. Anyway she dug in and even climbed the table to apply more pressure at times. She lightened the pressure when I asked her to, and even informed me of where she felt the most knots. I would say if you want bells and whistles, then you may need to go somewhere else. But if you want a no frills, focused, deep massage that results in pain relief....you should give this place a try. Tell her Yolanda sent you ;-).

Lysa is the best!…read more If you want to try acupuncture I highly recommend going here. I wanted to try acupuncture and eastern medicine after my mom recommended it would help with some of the pain that Im having. She's very attentive and I felt like she really cared about understanding what my issue was during my time here. If you've never tried acupuncture before, don't worry. The needles don't hurt and once they're in it doesn't feel like anything at all.

Lysa is the BEST acupuncturist in Northern Va, possibly in the entire state of VA, hands down. She…read moreis extremely knowledgeable, intuitive, and in-tune with her customers body. If your acupuncturist can't accurately tell you what's going on with your body by listening to your pulse (I thinks she also does a technique where she looks at your tongue), then you need to leave him/her and make an appointment with Lysa immediately. I've been going to Lysa for a little over a decade now and she never ceased to amaze me. Last week I visited her and as she was taking my pulse, she asked me if I had been drinking? I don't drink, aside from Kombucha (which has small traces of alcohol). She told me something was going on with my liver, my blood levels were low and she also mentioned my liver was doing a lot of detoxing. I was confused for a moment, then I remembered I had been drinking several cups of a tea called "Food for the Blood" for a few weeks. She told me to stop drinking it. Apparently I was going overboard with detoxing/purifying my blood. She must've seen the stunned look on my face because she chuckled and said "Your body told on you." I'm going to start calling her the "Body Whisperer." Lysa is the truth. I'm so glad I found her. I've followed her from Eden Center, to Silver Spring and now back to Falls Church. I refer everyone to her and all who have seen her are happy they did. From sciatica to multiple sclerosis, she will help you find relief. I will often go see her first if I'm experiencing any aches or pains, she has never steered me wrong. Her approach is to help you identify the root cause of the issue, so that you understand why it manifested in your body in the first place (I.e., my fibroids). You will need to do the mental work and she will use all the techniques in her armamentarium to treat you/rid you of the issue. After I leave Healing Tao, I often feel rejuvenated. If your looking for a highly experienced and knowledgeable traditional holistic practitioner who's patient focused, kind, honest and stays abreast of the myriad of healing modalities you need to go and see Lysa. Jalal will check you in. You can't miss him, he's the extremely professional guy at the front desk, with nice eyes, lol.
