Dr. Andrewis who've I've never met in person called and dismissed me in the middle of this treatment plan they recommended after I asked him about continuing telling me I would have to spend more thousands in order for him to proceed which was not explained to me at the consultation! They told me this large amount would cover the whole procedure!! They don't give you time to think about it or anything taking xrays and everything at the consultation!!! They set the appointment for the procedure within 2 weeks of payment!! I thought they were great too at the beginning but after they get the money you will see who they truly are!!! I still didn't get my temporaries back because he asked me not to come back on the premises!!! What did I do other than ask a few questions about what I was told at the time of me signing? What do I do now??!!! I suffered a tremendous loss not just the money but the chance to have this perfect smile they promised me!!! Where's your morals Dr. Andrewis? Dr. Richer was hilarious, made me feel completely comfortable, and gave a detailed explanation of my X-rays. The entire staff at Riverside was just as kind and funny, which truly made the whole experience so much better--especially for something as unpleasant as wisdom tooth surgery. When I went in for my procedure, they even gave me a free shirt, which was both hilarious and thoughtful. After surgery, they provided a head wrap and an ice pack, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Small touches like these really matter and show the level of care and thought Riverside puts into their patients. My husband and I paid over $5,000 to have his wisdom teeth removed. We signed a treatment plan for…read moreone thing and were charged for far more. The surgeon did discuss what he planned to do, so it doesn't seem it was a "something came up during surgery" deal, but several things were not listed on the treatment plan we signed with a price. My husband was told to take Tylenol and Ibuprofen after having impacted wisdom teeth removed which was the anestheisologist's decision to be fair. When I called the office because he was considering the ER due to the pain, a nurse, over the phone, insisted it could not be dry socket. She did not see my husband, is not the physician, and felt it was appropriate to give medical advice over the phone. I requested he see another surgeon in a different location (same practice). It was dry socket. The surgeon in West Orange was fantastic. The communication in West Caldwell left a lot to be desired. After the correct antibiotic was given and he was treated for the complication, we thought we were all clear. We went on with our lives and then received a bill the other day for just under $1200. I spoke with billing, I spoke with the office, and honestly, legal fees would be more expensive. I understand "things happen in surgery" and if our insurance covered this we might not have to pay it, but we couldn't ask insurance if it was covered because it was not what we signed up for. I honestly do not feel it was a change, because he mentioned a bone graft being part of the plan all along. I do not recommend the West Caldwell office. This was such a disaster and we finally could breathe and now we can't again. I would recommend the West Orange office. Dr. Brown in West Orange was excellent, and the surgeon our dentist requested him to see in the paperwork he sent over. I only wrote down the name of the office, not the surgeon he recommended so that was ignored on the paperwork when Riverside received it. The surgeons are fine, the West Caldwell office doesn't have it together so be prepared to do their job while you pay them far more than you agreed to.

I called Drs. Agaliotis' office and explained my situation. They made time form me that day, although they were extremely busy. Dr. Georgia Agaliotis took an X-Ray and suggested that I go to an Endodontist to get a CT scan, see if the tooth was salvageable. They called Dr. Vivian Graham, who saw me within a half hour. She took a CT scan and showed me where the tooth was cracked along the root. The tooth would have to be pulled. I was sent back to Dr. Mario Agaliotis for getting an impression of my teeth before my tooth was full. Dr. Mario Agaliotis called the Oral Surgeon Dr. Benjamin Jacobs and explained my case. The day, Dr. Benjamin Jacobs so me, went over my CT scan, pulled the tooth, removed the infected bone, and did a bone graft. All three teams of doctors and staff were very professional and efficient. My pain went from extremely high, to sore, to no pain within one day.
