When I went to check out, the lady behind the desk looked confused, told me one total, went to speak to another person, and then came back and told me a different amount owed. Fast forward three weeks later, I was still having a lot of pain in my right foot plus new onset swelling and pain in my left foot so I called to see if Dr. Rateif could see work me in earlier. I was thrilled when they worked me in first thing in the morning, the very next business day! When I hobbled in barely able to walk, a lady called me back and told me that there had been some kind of mix up and that Dr. Rateif was actually out of network on my insurance. I told her that I had checked with my insurance and was lead to believe that AFAA accepted my insurance and offered max savings to boot. I was informed that only ONE doctor in the practice accepted my insurance and he was not in the office. I could see Dr. Rateif that morning but would have to pay $200-$300 (and oh yeah "you have to pay out of network price for your last visit"). I hobbled right back out, cried in my car while wondering how I was going to make it through my 12 hour shifts that week (Answer: IM Toradol) and then drove home. TLDR: Dr Rateif was great but apparently not all of the doctors in the practice accept the same insurance. Do NOT take their word for it. If you do go see them, call your insurance and verify that the SPECIFIC doctor that you are going to see accepts it.

I began going to his office with foot pain after one regular GP had thought I had a stress fracture. I quit running and began yoga, and shortly after that my foot pain had returned with a vengeance! (I later found out it was Morton's Neuroma of both feet!) I made an appointment with Dr. Nicholls because his office is nearby to my work office and the appointment was within days of my initial phone call. The office workers are ALWAYS happy/smiling (which is awesome!) and so helpful. Out of the 6+ appointments I've had in the past 4 months, I've only had to wait more than 5 minutes to be called back one time. Dr. Nicholls is very kind and is the kind of doctor that won't automatically resort to surgical procedures. We've been working with my feet for 4 months now, and although they aren't completely fixed, he's definitely helped me out a ton. Thank you Dr. Nicholls!

I called around to multiple practices who all had waits of weeks and by stroke of luck, when I rang this office they were able to see me next day. My appointment was with Dr. King, who was a straightforward and knowledgeable. The nursing staff took great care of me during intake, x-rays and checkout. They made it all easy and were friendly from start to finish. My issue turned out to be a new diagnosis that Dr. King walked me fully through regarding a change of lifestyle and a few key exercises that I could do to help limit future flare ups. On this visit they completed x-rays, ran bloodwork and set me up with a great boot, which was a lifesaver leaving the office, especially with the long walk back to my vehicle. Last week I had an extreme flare of plantar fasciitis and the office worked me in the same day I called. We had a trip to Disney planned in less than 2 weeks so needed a fast pain relief option. I was seen immediately and Dr Schuler gave me a cortisone injection that same day. Unfortunately after the appointment I further injured my foot and had to call Dr Schuler after hours on Friday. She offered to meet me on Saturday outside of office hours. On Saturday she ran new x-rays and discovered a small stress fracture. She immediately fitted me for a walking boot and gave plenty of instructions for how I can heal as much as possible and how we can still take our trip in a few days. Her confidence and expertise helped calm my anxiety and less than 24 hours later the pain is already starting to subside. There aren't many doctors who will give you their cell number to call after hours, and there are even fewer who are willing to take time out of their weekend to meet you and handle your injury quickly and efficiently. This office isn't a brand new huge high tech busy office with 6+ doctors. But there are two people (Dr Schuler and her assistant Rose) who truly care about their patients and are willing to do what it takes to literally get them back on their feet.
