I have been seeing Dr B for the past 10 years now and he is hands down the best dentist ever! I couldn't be more impressed with the level of care and professionalism provided by Dr. B and his team. I have gotten a crown replaced, a root canal done and some cavities filled and every time had the best experience. He follows up with calls outside clinic hours to make sure you don't have any concerns. Never has he asked to get any dental work that wasn't truly required. Always advocates for the best outcome for the patient. Dr. B himself is truly exceptional at what he does. Not only is he highly skilled and knowledgeable in his field, but he also takes the time to thoroughly explain procedures and answer any questions or concerns. His gentle demeanor and genuine concern for his patients' well-being immediately put you at ease. You won't go wrong with this dental practice. read more

Was seen today and I think things went well. The office was not too busy and everything was in order. The doctor was professional and paid attention when I described what's been going on. They asked about previous issues and discussed some options that I hadn't considered. Felt like a practical visit more than anything else. No complaints really. It's a place I'd be ok coming back to if I need to. read more

Amazing staff, amazing facility. I got seen right away for an emergency after a bike accident. Dr. Stan and Dr. Mulcahy are truly phenomenal dentists. They both take extra precaution to make sure I get the best quality care each visit. The hygienists are incredibly kind and make my teeth look amazing when leaving the appointment. The office itself is very clean and well organized. Best dental office in the Bay Area. 10/10!!! read more

It's the best if you can afford it. Dr Belajcic was recommended by a friend who is so into dentistry that she has like 7 tattoos of teeth and dental tools and even the patron saint of dentists. That's how good Dr. B is. People like that, think HE is the best. Also he is nice AF, remembers me, my teeth, my issues, and calls me after procedures to check in. First class guy. And the front desk people are low key just as freaking competent and kind as he is. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I'm not too experienced with all the billing/charging as most of the other reviewers seem to be, but I was extremely happy with my care. I originally started out as an emergency appointment- I'm a Stanford student and they made a same day appointment for me with Dr. Stan when my wisdom teeth started to act up. They quickly had me scheduled with their once-a-month guest oral surgeon that did a great job taking out all four of my wisdom teeth. I was so happy with my care that I came back for both my annual exam and cleaning, since I'm not going home due to covid. They're very covid friendly, cleaning down everything after use, limiting people in waiting area, screening questions, temperature taking, etc. I felt safe. Everyone that helped me with my various appointments was extremely helpful and reliable. I'm glad I found them read more

I recently had to have a veneer, which I had gotten done in NY, reinserted. My dentist called Dr Stan to discuss my case and see if I could go to him for the work. He agreed and got me in quickly. I so much appreciated his professionalism and consideration. I drive half an hour to this office because I think the care is excellent! I have no doubt that I am in the right dental practice with an exceptional team! read more

Just a note to thank Dr. Stan for the Excellent job he did on my mouth, his expertise and presence were most pleasant and we look forward to the rest of the work in the near future. W.B.Brydon read more

I've been coming to Mulcahy Family Dentistry (Now Dr. Stan's Exceptional Dentistry) in Palo Alto for a little over 10 years, and am continually impressed with the quality of the dental work they do, their overall organization, and willingness to accommodate emergency situations. I no longer live near the dental office and need to make a 30-45 minute track to get there, but it is absolutely worth it. read more

I had gone to Mulcahy Family Denistry for 23 years. Tim was an amazing dentist, and I had a lot of work done in those years. Of course, with all my records there. I started with Dr. B with with a totally cracked eye tooth on an emergency basis. He fixed it to perfection replicating my veneers quite well. No more See's California Brittle! The tooth looks terrific and feels outstanding. I somehow missed the massaging chair! Next time. Seniors also get a 10% as most of us don't have insurance. I was pleased that Dr. B fixed a very cracked eye tooth! read more

Note that Mulcahy Family Dentistry no longer exists--it has become a new company and (unfortunately for Stanford students) is no longer part of Delta Dental network, and an out of network cleaning appointment is more than $300 out-of-pocket. Hopefully this post saves everyone time that fit this category! Too bad based on the great reviews. read more

I was afraid of going to the dentist until I came here I recently just got a deep clean and I want to say thank you Dr Jennings and the crew for making my teeth great great again I feel like I can smile again read more

I recently had my first visit to Mulcahy Family Dentistry per the recommendation of my Mother-In-Law. I was visiting her in Palo Alto when the porcelain crown on a very visible front tooth of mine broke. Dr Mulcahy's office was very prompt in their response to my request for an emergency appointment. Upon my arrival the staff was welcoming, thoughtful and accommodating. Dr. Mulcahy himself was warm, reassuring and generous with his time. I left knowing exactly what needed to take place and a referral to a remarkable DDS, Dr. Mehran Fotovatjah (review to follow). Thank you, Dr. Mulcahy and staff, for your excellent care. I am looking forward to my next appointment! Sincerely, La Joie Ps I wish I could Yelp my Mother-in-law... she would get 5 stars! Love you, Pat, read more

If money is no issue for you, then Mulcahy is fine. I've never had a problem with my actual treatment with Dr. Wagner. HOWEVER, their billing department leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the time, they calculate the total before you go into the chair, and have you sign a paper acknowledging it, which is great. On my most recent visit, they didn't check the total, and only told me a month afterwards that actually, my insurance wasn't covering it and I'd have to pay completely out of pocket. I get it, they don't decide how much/what insurance covers. They do, however, have access to that information, and should consistently be clear with their patients about cost, rather than blindsiding a student a month later that actually they owe them hundreds of dollars for a treatment that could have waited. read more

Today was my first Exam here. From the moment I walked through the door I felt welcomed. The staff was extremely nice, not only to me but interaction with one another. Even under the masks you can tell they were smiling. I saw Dr. Stan for my Exam today. I was amazed on how thorough he was. I can't recall the last time I felt that taken care of in a dental chair. Everyone deserves this type of dental care. I would defiantly recommend anyone to Mulcahy Family Dentistry. read more

I strongly recommend this team for anyone's dental needs. Highly professional and very personable.

Saw Dr. Wagner last year, and she was clearly experienced and knew what she was doing and referred me to a specialist to help with my particular issue. She may have been a bit alarmist - turns out my teeth are OK, but it was good to get them checked out. The hygienist I saw later was also very professional. But the trouble is in their follow up and scheduling. Somehow they failed to inform me TWICE that I wouldn't actually be seeing a doctor at my cleanings, even though Dr. Wagner had explicitly said that I needed careful attention given the condition of my teeth after orthodontics. The first time I realized when I was in the chair that there was no doctor who was going to come by to check my teeth. That one time I could forgive. But then it happened again, and I found out only after explicitly asking on the phone when they called to remind me two days before my appointment (and a week before I was supposed to leave the country for a trip, ideally with clean teeth!) that in fact my appointment was scheduled at a time when there would be no doctor to see me! It would just be x-rays (didn't ask for these) and a cleaning (asked for that). The woman on the phone was very understanding, but that doesn't really fix the situation of poor communication and follow up. Someone should make sure when scheduling the appointment that patients' basic needs - like seeing a dentist for an exam yearly - are met. Yes one must always be their own advocate, but you'd think something as basic as this they'd get right. I had no idea I had been scheduled for just a cleaning, again. I've never had this kind of problem with a dentist in the past - it's all routine stuff. How can they remember that I need to get x-rays taken - which I didn't ask for - but not that I should probably see a doctor? So in summary - the doctors are experienced, the location is very convenient for Stanford students, and the staff are nice but they miss basic details. Be your own advocate if you go here. UPDATE - the fact that they took this complaint seriously and reached out to me means something, so I bumped up the review to four stars. read more

Very professional, very nice. Very happy with every person in the office. Also, very safe, taking all Covid precautions including giant air filtering systems. read more

This is the best dentist ever! I've seen my fair share of dentists, and none have helped me get my smile back like Dr. Mulcahy and his team. From the front desk to billing to cleaning to fillings and that time I fell and broke my two front teeth and had to come in on a Sunday, Dr. Mulcahy really responds to my dental aesthetic. read more

The Dental Office of the Future I saw Dr. Wagner for my first dental appointment in 2 years and it completely changed my perception of dentists and dental offices. Coming from an "Old School" dentist that scraped and picked, this experience was completely different. Using technology and precision, the evaluation was thorough, painless, and educational. I was even offered to have the pictures of my teeth emailed to me afterwords (i declined). I can't believe I'm actually saying or thinking this, but I look forward to going to Dr. Wagner and the Mulcahy Family Dentistry office for years to come. read more

The staff is very friendly, the facilities are clean and well lit. I am a patient of Dr. Wagner's, and she's been great. Since they do digital x-rays, Dr. Wagner was able to show them enlarged on a monitor at the chair while she was explaining what work needed to be done on my teeth. She was great, explained the details of my treatment plan and why she was going to prioritize what was treated first. When I came in later for a filling, she gave me the most painless set of injections I've ever had from a dentist. Can't recommend her or Dr. Mulcahy more. read more

I chose Mulcahy Family Dentistry based on the yelp reviews and proximity to my home. I could not be happier. The staff is courteous and they always run on time. They have worked around my extremely busy residency schedule to accommodate me. Dr. Stan has taken significant efforts to ensure that I get the best treatment in the most cost effective and efficient manner. I have always hated the dentist, but not this dentist! Dr. Stan and the entire team are truly excellent! read more

Love the practice!! Unfortunately, they no longer accept Delta Dental as this is the plan offering from Stanford Health Care. Time to look for another practice as paying out-of-network patient responsibility is expensive. read more

I have been going to Dr. Mulcahy for years and have received excellent care and treatment. Recently I had a chipped tooth and was able to get on Dr. Wagner's schedule the next day. She was originally scheduled to check it out and tell me what needed to be done but, when I told her I was about to leave town for 2 months, she found the time to rebuild the tooth right then and there. And she did an excellent job. That is the kind of attention and care that we all hope we can receive from our providers. read more

I have been a patient for many years as were my kids. Dr Mulcahy is always so respectful and takes the time to explain anything you ask about. His hygienists are great and they are high tech so I can schedule my next appt from the chair before leaving if I want. Parking is always good and they are ready within a few minutes of arriving in time. I also had issues with my jaw and have found their holistic approach and a little filing helped tremendously after my visit. Highly recommend. With Delta Dental no billing issues. read more

I saw Dr. Bjelajac today for a full series of X-rays and an exam. I am very pleased with everything about this office. I am a licensed Dental Hygienist, so I can be very knit-picky with offices and doctors. The front office was incredibly helpful and kind, the assistant knew how to take good X-rays (a must of me... Who wants to have the same photo taken over and over for overlap or cone-cutting?). Then the exam was great. I worry about doctors always over diagnosing. He was phenomenal at walking me through each X-ray even though I already knew what I was looking at. I would highly recommend this office. read more

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but it's been awhile since I've been to the dentist. I kept passing by, intending to make an appointment and finally did. Boy am I glad I did. From my initial call, which was enthusiastically answered by Janice, she was very friendly and comforting. I explained that it had been awhile and she reacted as though this was a common occurence. Felt relaxed right away. She is such an asset to this practice. Well, my daughter, Alex was the first in the family to have her exam, we were treated with such enthusiasm and felt comfortable as soon as we walked in the door. After her appointment Alex was replaying her visit and how great the staff was with her, she loved the experience. What 10 year old likes the dentist? They made her feel welcome, took note of her personal likes and gave her the grand tour. We even got to meet Dr. Mulcahy, who was not only warm but took the time to meet his newest patient and made her feel special. She was so excited about her experience she even sold her Dad on becoming a new patient. (He's been with the same dentist since Grad school, over 20 years). A week later it was mom's turn and older brother, Jake's appointment and as soon as we walked in they instantly recognized us, greeted us with the same enthusiasm they had on our first visit and made us feel relaxed. I loved that they took time to explain what they were doing, what needed to be done in order of priority. They used new technology with the X-rays and dental cameras. They produced instant pictures of what's going on in your mouth and displayed it on a TV as they explained what was going on with your teeth. The massage chair, was also very nice. They think of everything! Kerry was also very imformative and provided a quick print out on future work, the cost breakdown of each treatment and a no pressure attitude.. I cannot say enough great things about them. I've had a few dentist, but this is by far the nicest facility and greatest staff you will ever meet! It's nice that Alex and Jake no longer dread going to the dentist based on this experience. Keep up the good work! Thanks!!! Christy, Jake and Alex read more

Our family has been seeing Dr. Mulcahy for more than 15 years, going back to his former Welsh Road location. The four of us have enjoyed good dental health for all this time, so I can't comment on more complicated dentistry like crowns, bridges and the like, but I can confirm that he's great with kids and runs a strong preventive dentistry practice. The great experience extends to Janice at the front desk to my favorite hygienist Claudia. Their new office is wonderfully high tech with digital x-rays and records. My kids love the vibrating massage chairs. read more

Dr. Wagner is a wonderful dentist and seems to genuinely care about her patients. Mulcahy Family Dentistry was a great find and choice for my two kids. My oldest is a teenager and the second one is about to become one so I switched them over from their pediatric dentists up in San Francisco. I could not be happier with this office. Dr. Mulcahy was highly recommended by friends and neighbors for my children but I am thinking of switching my dentist after going to this office for a year now with my kids. read more

I love this dentist. I'm actually really afraid of the dentist and did a ton of research before I came here. Dr. B (Bjelajac) is great, and each different technician I've had has been so compassionate and understanding. I also got my wisdom teeth taken out by a doctor referred by this office and that was also a great experience (weird thing to say about your wisdom teeth being removed...). The atmosphere is pretty modern and almost spa-like - I actually like coming here. I feel like that's a lot to say for a dentist! read more

Dr Mulcahy is an excellent dentist. He was super thoughtful and helpful to me as I prepared or major dental surgery (orthognathic) this past winter. He even took time to meet me for lunch and walk me through what to expect and how to have a smooth recovery, since his daughter had had a similar experience in the past. This is just one example of how he and his office always goes above and beyond for their patients. Cindy is an incredible and thoughtful hygienist - I have been seeing her for a few ears and she really knows her stuff and makes cleanings a delight. Never painful. read more

Dr. Mulcahy is a Certified Green Business! I definitely support a small business that is environmentally conscious.
