I am in West Columbia, SC not San Francisco, California…read more This is a copy of my review left on Google .... Edited to add ... Here it is 2 years later and you still haven't completed the job that I already paid you to do! I have , since gone out and found a more reliable HVAC company. As for voice mail messages, the only messages I received were the ones asking if I wanted to renew the yearly service agreement, and I still have them! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original post ... Mack Heating & Cooling installed our system in 2016 and we have always had great service until recently. I paid for the Yearly Service Agreement in 2023. A technician visited on 02/07/2023 and did everything except he was "unable to run heat mode at this time." It was noted on the invoice the technician "Will need to stop back by to verify refrigerant levels and initiate defrost mode" they never did! Honestly I forget all about until I received a call from MACK, I wanted to check my records so I let it go to voice mail. A week later (03/29/2024) Mack called again asking if I wanted to renew the yearly service agreement and when I pointed out that they never returned to complete the previous service call all she said was "That's on us". She made no mention of sending a tech out, only asking if I wanted to renew the yearly service agreement. She repeated "That's on us" several times but never tried to resolve the issue. Invoice Number 13140-1 Edited to reply to response ... Yes you did call and leave voice mail messages. They were to see if I wanted to renew the yearly service agreement. No one ever called to schedule the return visit to "verify refrigerant levels and initiate defrost mode" ... and you still haven't completed the service for which I already paid you to do! MACK's reply ... Mack Heating & Cooling, Inc. (Owner) 11 months ago We are very sorry you did not receive the follow visit to check refrigerant levels. We tried to call and left 3 voice mails after the 2nd pm visit in 2023. We always strive to give the best service to our customers.

I had a leak in my bathtub area and called Cottrell and Co. for an estimate. I chose them because…read morethey were offering a free estimate and had pretty good reviews on Angie's List. They responded to my PM pretty quickly and we set up an appointment for a few days later. The gentleman that showed up was Josh and he was the lead master plumber for the company. He was very professional and polite and explained what the problem was with my bathtub and scheduled an appointment for a few days later to repair the issue. I was very impressed with Josh and as my first contact with the company, left a very positive impression on me. This morning, I received a phone call from Joseph telling me about what time he would be arriving. He was, just like Josh, very polite on the phone. He arrived with a partner (sorry, I already forgot his name!) and they both removed their shoes and entered my house. They looked at the problem and immediately went to work. They were both extremely polite and had the job done in less than an hour. I am very satisfied with my experience with Cottrell and Co. and am happy to have the number for a company that is trustworthy and good at what they do. If I ever have any other plumbing issues, I will not hesitate to call on this company.

Found out it is code to have one so I had to get another plumber to install a new one. They never answered my inquiry into this. Would not use them again or recommend them. In fact I just replaced my HVAC unit and if they had done right with the plumbing issue I would have got it from them.

Perfecto Plumbing - After trying to fix the issue with the original spout. Used the new tub spout and damaged my tub.

Perfecto Plumbing

I contacted Mr. Odom to complete some plumbing work in my newly purchased home which came to a…read moretotal of $1,440. He was tasked with removing the old water heater and installing a new water heater. As well as replacing a tub drain cover, replacing two bathroom faucets, and installing new shower trims in my main and guest bathrooms. I brought all of the materials that needed to be replaced/installed. On the day of service he had a helper who was there to assist him. Mr. Odom told me that he and his helper were having issues trying to install the new shower trim in the guest bathroom. As a result they were just going to put the original spout back on (the tub spout was working properly before they took it off). After they did this the tub spout was not flushed with the shower wall and it did not work properly. When I turned on the tub spout there was water coming out from behind the spout. And when I turned on the shower, water would still come out the spout. I told Mr. Odom about it and he said he would check it out. Unfortunately, as a result of this company's work my guest bathroom tub was damaged (see images). There was damage to the shower wall in which they chipped and put a hole in it when trying to install the new tub spout. Then, proceeded to do a very unpleasant looking caulking job. My shower wall was also burnt during the process of Mr. Odom swelling a pipe. When I asked Mr. Odom to refund me the cost ($150) of installing the shower trims, he only refunded me $125 and stated, "Refund even though I do not owe you." After installing the new water heater Mr. Odom told me that they could not remove the old water heater from the attic because of a personal issue and would have to come back later with a different helper to remove it (he came back 6 days later to remove it). He did not inform about his personal issue when I initially reached out to him for an estimate. After this whole ordeal, I had to get another plumbing company to come out and assess everything that him and his helper did. As well as see what could be done in order to fix the damage to my guest bathroom tub. While the plumber was assessing the work, he noticed that an expansion tank was not installed on the new water heater (by the way, I asked Mr. Odom whether I need one and he said no). It cost me $348 for the new plumber to install the expansion tank. In order to fix the damage to the tub I had to get a resurfacing company. Who also fixed the drain gasket because it was installed wrong by Mr. Odom (or his helper). It cost me $1,400 to get my tub fixed and resurfaced. Now, I have to get the new plumber to come back and install a new tub spout, which will cost me more money. A $1,440 job with Perfecto Plumbing has now cost me an additional $1748 (and counting). Update: Mr. Odom should rethink and delete his claim about me not being honest. I have all of the text messages and do not mind posing them (if he would like) to prove that I wanted a refund of $150 (the cost for installing the shower trims) due to my dissatisfaction with the work. He is correct in stating this job took place in 2024. It took place on April 12 and he returned on April 18, 2024 to "fix" the spout issue (offered to paint over the burns) and remove the old water heater. It took me over a year to get the money and time to have the damages fixed. I also wanted to give accurate figures on how much it cost to fix the damage that was caused by this company. It took me some days to gather my thoughts and assess the damage that was done to my tub. On April 22, 2024, when I informed him about the damages and wanting a refund he did not offer to come back and fix the damage. And even if he would have offered I did not want him to return to my home a THIRD time considering that he already tried to fix his mistake once and end up burning and chipping my tub. Also, he originally said that he would only refund me $100. You read that correctly...he tried to off me a refund of $100. He is correct in stating that I did not answer the phone when he tried to call me on April 22, 2024 because I wanted to only communicate with him via text in order to have a record of what he stated because I did not trust him to tell the truth (case in point his reply to this review).
