I dropped my phone this morning and my phone wouldn't turn back on. I tried connecting it to the computer to see if I could retrieve anything but no luck! I had the front and back glass replaced on my iPhone. Within a day or so I noticed dead spots in the touch screen when texting. A couple days later I pull my phone out of my pocket and both the front and back glass are cracked again. I call the store and the manager tells me it will be covered under warranty, but upon dropping my phone off I'm told it will be another $150. The girl at the counter says they don't warranty the back glass then calls the manager. The manager said they won't cover the front glass because it is cracked even though I previously told her it was cracked from their crappy repair. read more

So I received a call from someone at the store who had seen my review and she offered to rectify my experience by swapping out the battery since that wasn't the issue and refunding me the money. I received quick prompt service. And they offered to further troubleshoot my phone but I was in a hurry to complete my errands. Ruined my phone, don't do it guys. I bought parts they recommended, replaced a camera that now works worse and a battery. The guy returns it its got blackout marks on the screen now, the camera doesn't focus, the phone is all weird now, the screen is damaged and they still charged me and said I can put the old parts back but they'd charge me again so if I can't afford that I can't prove it was the poor craftsmanship. I seriously do not recommend this establishment and explore you to look elsewhere, they will f your phone up and have the audacity to charge you full price....goin to Verizon to buy a new phone....NOT worth it! read more

Replaced the battery in my cell phone. Works well. Has to special order battery and prepay. Was told that it would take 20-30 minutes to replace battery. Once battery arrives, I took the phone in and was informed that it would be 3-4 hours to replace the battery. Could not afford that amount of time and waited five days until they could get to it and do repairs. This time was one hour and fifteen minutes, not the 20-30 minutes as previously stated. Although my phone works better, the trim is rippled and unattractive. Will not go back. read more

Worst experience ever! Avoid this business. We dropped off our iPad Pro and we were given a quote of $250 and 1-5 days max, but promised repairs as soon as possible. Today, 6 days later, they called us and said the price was now $299 and that there had been a mistake. I told them this was unacceptable and they agreed to honor the $250 and that the iPad would be ready later today BUT they would call back to confirm timing. 45 minutes later I called back and they said they had not ordered the part and it would be another day or so. I cancelled the repair and Julie or the manager was extremely dismissive and unprofessional. I have done a number of repairs here in the past for my business and personal but whoever the new people are just do not care about customer service and support. I do not recommend this. place!!! took my iphone here the day after I dropped it and shattered the screen. even with the cracks the touchscreen was working completely fine before i took it in. when I went to pick it up the. first time there was a blue dot in the middle of the screen as if the new LCD had something putting. pressure on it. I had. to take it right back in and leave it for another. hour and a half. go back to get. it the second time and notice immediately there are issues. the display and colors are dull and the touchscreen is barely working properly. i'm having issues. with the typing (notice all the random periods, that's not intentional), scrolling, answering calls, etc. I paid 130 dollars for my. phone to work worse than it did before!!!! read more

I've been to this location before to fix a cracked screen and they fixed it in like 1 hour. Very satisfied customer so I came back here years later because I had an issue with the charge port, it was still charging but very sensitive to where if u bump it, it would stop charging. They were going to replace the port for less than $100 and have it done in a couple of hours but there was no need. They did a cleaning and it fixed the issue, charges great now! I wanted this to be a good experience but it was not. I will say that the manager over all three locations was very nice and tried to fix my issue but in the end it was still a disaster. My iPhone screen was shattered and I thought I would come here since it was cheaper than the Apple Store- first mistake. They fixed my screen in a timely manner but once I got home and used my phone for awhile my Touch ID stopped working on my phone and the home button was not as responsive. Sometimes I couldn't even get to the unlock screen to manually enter my passcode. There was also a point in which the entire screen turned to multicolored pixels and froze. I ended up calling the store back the next day and letting them know and I was rudely told that it wasn't due to them replacing the screen as they didn't replace the home button at all. Now Im not stupid and I did my research and I found several articles explaining that if you replace the screen this could happen- either the contact sensors aren't synced, the cable got pinched, etc. I was trying to explain this to her but she kept cutting me off saying this couldn't be from the screen replacement. I asked her about my screen freezing into pixels and she said that "if it made me feel better" I could bring it in and they would look it over but that she doesn't think this issue was caused by them. I'm furious. I took it in a few days later and she's there and takes it back for the tech to open it up. I left and came back about 45min later. She went back to check and I can hear about everything they are saying. The tech in the back shouted that "everything looks perfect" and they did the job right. But what really got me was that he shouted "tell her to come back and look for herself if she wants". Really??? Customers can hear you! I was so embarrassed I wanted to leave then and there. She went to the back and talk turned to whispers and giggles. I'm mortified and I want my phone and to leave. As soon as she came back with my phone she explained that everything looked fine in my phone and that maybe I need to update my phone. I took my phone and left and called the manager the next day. By now I'm looking at about a week that I've been dealing with this mess. The manager was SO much more pleasant than the previous person I was working with. She brought my phone back in and took a look. She replaced a cable and said if that didn't fix it to let her know- she'd really like to know what's wrong with it. Touch ID worked for a few hours and went back to its same nonresponsive state. At this point I'd given up. I was tired of taking an hour or two out of my day to be without a phone (I rely on my phone for sales calls) and to have to be away from work. I've gotten used to part of my phone not functioning as it should. It just majorly sucks that it's broken now from a routine screen repair. I don't recommend this place, as you can see. Go in with one problem, leave with another and it won't be fixed. Associate and tech were incredibly rude and that alone makes me not want to go back- I was too embarrassed. read more

I highly discourage anyone from taking any devices to this store. They had my sons iPad for over a week and a half. They couldn't fix it but told me "Don't worry, we aren't charging you!" when I went to pick it up, the genius told me he couldn't tell me what was done to the iPad because they don't keep notes on what was done. So I took it to Sprint. Sprint said they may have been able to fix it if Dr. Phonez hadn't made it worse. They left their fingerprints all over The INSIDE of the iPad screen. read more

Called numerous times and was told i would get a call back. NOT ONCE did that happen. no one could tell me where the phone was and what going on with it. If I could give 0 stars I would. On Tuesday my phone was brought in to have the screen replaced because it was cracked the technician stated that I could get a refund if it didn't work. I leave and come back less than 24 hours because my phone is acting crazy it will not let me answer calls and I am told it needs to be calibrated. So he does his thing and tells me if it doesn't work i can get a refund,, and 24 hours later its still not right. Calls people randomly and scrolls nonstop. I return and ask for the refund to be told by manager, Lizzie, that the phone was dead on arrival so it couldn't be checked. That is a lie. I was using the phone at the time I walked in. So I leave with nothing. No compensation, no repair, just take my $200 and cheat and lie. read more

So do not come here at all here's the list of problems I had. First I came to get my screen fixed which I did but the screen itself was a cheap non tempered knock off. Second after about two weeks my backlight started going out there is now a dim shadow in the top right of my screen Third they didn't put the screws back in my phone 4th I got my camera back fixed and all they did was break some more of the glass and stick a plastic film over it And lastly the phone is not on right I can see open space in the corner where it's dark which I assume means that it's not all together. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE ITS A RIP OFF IM IN THE PROCESS OF GOING UP THERE FOR A FULL REFUND OR ILL BE BRINGING THE LAW INTO THIS. Go somewhere else where you actually get quality and you don't come back every 3weeks for something that they have done. They recently contacted me and pretty much gave full deniability to themselves on the issues and tried to make it out as my phone(that I didn't have any previous problems with and that I haven't had for more than a year) just had more problems with it. How convenient id say that a couple weeks after I pay ass loads of money for it to be fixed I get missing parts,half asses workmanship and more problems with my phone. read more

Visited the location on stone oak with Brian. Fast and professional services. Repaired in a timely manor, completed as promised.

So we called to have our phone screen replaced. We were told they had to order it and it would come the next day. No worries, we ordered the screen and a new screen protector. We came in the next day they replaced the screen but they didn't have a screen protector so we would have to come back. Irritating but okay. We left and noticed a bubble in the new screen and that the phones ear piece was not working. We called and they said they would order a new screen ( this in on Monday) and they would replace the screen and the protector the next day. We could not make it in Tuesday or Wednesday so we ended up calling Thursday to come in. We were told the screen was at there main store but they could get it there soon. So around 130 that afternoon we dropped off the phone. The new screen still wasn't there but it should be on the way is what we are told. We happen to be in the area around 4pm so we stop by again. They have the screen but we are "in line" and there is 2 phones ahead of us. So we head out to shop for a bit. Around 445 we got the call the phone was done. However, the screen protector ( that we have already paid for) wasn't delivered from the other store. So we just said we will pick up the phone and would like a refund for the protector since they didn't have it. They told up they do not refund screen protectors, even though we have never received the product. It's now almost 5pm and they say they will get it by 530. So we wait 530, "it on its way". So we sit and wait some more. 545pm case finally arrives. Although the guy at the counter was super nice and friendly. This was just a ridiculous transaction. read more

I'm not sure how the Dr Phonez locations are in San Antonio, but in Live Oak it was awful. From waiting FOUR hours to fix my cracked iPhone. (They had ONE employee fixing phones). After my four hour wait I got my phone, yeah they switched the screen out, yay. They charged me an additional 10$ because my phone had a 'DENT' on the side. When I turned my phone on I noticed it was very dim, (the brightness was more then half way so I found that strange) when I got to my car I noticed my phone was dimming in and out so I brought it back in and asked them why it's happening, they denied that my phone was doing it. I asked people in the store if it was (customers) and they agreed. The manager told me to bring it back if it ever does it, she was denying that it was flittering. About two weeks (today) later I notice my phone screen is basically falling out lol. I would NOT recommend this place, AWFUL management. Took my daughter's very damaged iPad in to have the screen replaced. The initial 2 hour quote turned into overnight- ok, no big deal. The young man that called that evening told me the corners were messed up pretty bad and that he would need to shave them a bit- which I gave the ok to go on. I went to pick it up the next afternoon, and both the tech that fixed it and the woman that checked me out commented about how the screen did not sit flush. The lady even said "This shouldn't have been fixed like this". Now, about two weeks later, the screen has cracks running all down it- even though it has a super heavy duty case on it. I called and lo and behold, cracks aren't covered by the warranty. Had I known the fix was temporary I would have just purchased a new iPad, as what I paid was about half what a new one cost. The solution? They could re-fix it and give a 20% discount. I did get another offer to do it for $59 but at this point I refuse to put more money into something that probably isn't going to be fixed well anyway. Def do not recommend. read more

Horrendous! I bought a used phone and brought it to them to get some sticky buttons unstuck. I called them later in the day, as they never called me back as they said they would. They let me know that they broke my screen; great... But they told me not to worry as they'd replace the screen. Fine... And they did, with an aftermarket non-oem screen. It worked fine for a few hours before pixels started dying, according to another shop, it looked like someone pressed on it too hard when installing, thus killing pixels. By the next day, half the screen was black. I tried to return it to them to see what they could do... But they denied any fault, saying that they already paid to replace my first screen, and that there were "scratches" on the screen, thus voiding the warranty. They were so unhelpful, they wouldn't even put me in contact with a manager or where I could check the warranty. Thanks y'all. So 330 bucks and a different shop later, I have a working phone. On the plus side, the buttons aren't sticky. read more
