He treated my mother for cataracts and glaucoma for all her years and she could still see great at almost 100. He recently performed cataract surgery for me on both eyes which went uneventful and without complications. My vision is now perfect after living with really bad nearsightedness since I was 11. And for any other eye conditions, this a doc who has seen it all and knows how to treat it. Everyone else in the office is great as well, Dr. Wennerberg, the technicians and office support staff. You will deal with them all during your visit and they are all terrific, making your doctor visit go as smooth as possible. (I have dealt with bad office staff of doctors and that has caused life complications I don't need.) Wait times have always been short as well, never more than 5-10 minutes. Note that Dr. Glavin does not do the lasik eye surgery. I had been thinking about it for a while and wisely decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Glavin first. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering lasik get an INDEPENDENT, unbiased evaluation and opinion from an ophthalmologist first. I was VERY glad I did and for me it worked out for the better. You should be getting your eyes checked regularly anyway.

She didn't just do her job she cared. She made sure I was comfortable, supported, and never alone in moments when I needed reassurance the most. Kira represents the very best of what healthcare should be. Her kindness, responsiveness, and unwavering support deserve recognition and deep appreciation. I want to be very honest with this review of Loyola University Medical Center…read more We arrived on Easter Sunday night after being transferred from another hospital, and I was truly grateful we made it. The ICU staff on the 2nd floor were exceptional--kind, professional, and attentive. They consistently checked on us and treated both patients and family with care and respect during a very difficult time. However, after a few days, we were moved to the 3rd floor, and the experience changed significantly. During overnight hours--around 2 AM--the environment has been surprisingly loud. I heard staff using profanity, watching videos or news on their phones at high volume, and openly complaining about long shifts. I understand healthcare is demanding, but this is a hospital setting, and patients (and their families) can hear everything. My relative is here receiving end-of-life care, so I stay overnight. At one point, a nurse questioned my presence rather abruptly before knowing the situation. To her credit, she apologized once she understood, but in moments like these, a little more compassion upfront goes a long way. One of the nurse was rude and jist keep using profanity and stated this is who she is. Wow, Loyola use to have professional nursing staff, what happened? I also noticed interactions where staff spoke to patients in a very casual, sometimes inappropriate tone. Maybe I'm a bit old-fashioned, but professionalism matters--especially in a place where people are vulnerable, grieving, and trying to find peace. My takeaway: There is clearly a strong, compassionate team here--as seen in the ICU--but consistency matters. Professionalism, awareness, and respect should be maintained across all floors, especially during overnight hours. Hospitals should feel calm and supportive, not loud or chaotic. Patients and families deserve that--especially during life's most difficult moments. I will give a 4 star due to our first encounter here and the kindness nurses such as Nicole and Quand and Jordan. Very kind d and attentive. And I just heard 2 nurses use profanity to another nurse. I am sincerely flabbergasted that they speak like this so openly and there are patients present in their rooms. The level of unprofessionalism is amazing, and i am really saddened by this as this hospital was once top hospital. Being part of the joint commission will definitely reflect not only my review, but how I move forward. This is really upsetting me.

They have always provided excellent care for me and my family, whether it be a cleaning, filling, a recommendation for oral surgery, or specific information about the proper care for my teeth. The folks at the office are just good people who care, but they also happen to be highly skilled, and they take the time to explain and answer questions. I even have a story to share about the practice which demonstrates why they are the best in class. As a relatively new and worrisome parent, I recently called Dr Todd after hours (on the weekend) after my son had a fall and suffered some minor damage to his gums. Dr Todd actually paid a house visit and checked my son's teeth to ensure that he was OK on the same night -- a Saturday night. Who do you know that would do that? I hope others take this to heart when shopping for dentists. This review is long overdue.

I'm SO happy I did! Dr. Hura & his staff took the time, not only to address my concerns about my face, but my overall health. I felt so at ease, especially because one of my eyebrows is genetically higher than my other one. He was so gentle & precise. One of the biggest complaints I had about my last doctor is that the results we're almost non-existent. I felt like I wasted a lot of time & money, and never achieved what I had hoped for. Dr Hura, studied my face and the bone structure and listened to my concerns. I saw a great deal of improvement before I even left his office! Location, staff and wait time were manageable. Plan for at least enough time for the doctor to do his best work AND to allow for the numbing cream to settle in. I especially like the fact that he personally did the injections, not a nurse. Great bedside manner. Didn't try to up sell other services, even though I do intend to go back for fillers around my mouth. Botox patient for about 5 years, used to see a plastic surgeon, and then a nurse. Definitely happy with my results and Dr Hura!

As I was getting ready to leave the house, my phone rang - it was Dr. Marshall's office, telling me they were running about 15 minutes behind schedule, and asking me to come at 12:15 instead of 12. I'm an old guy who has been making appointments at various places for almost 50 years, and this is the first time any business has ever called to tell me they were running a bit behind schedule. Sure would be nice if other places did this sort of thing, too. The folks at the office were friendly, and throughout my entire visit, everyone let me know what to expect next. From what I understand, if you inject an anesthetic into a gum at a slow rate, there is very little pain or discomfort. Evidently Dr. Marshall understands that too, because other than the initial discomfort of having a needle poked into the skin, the whole process of having my tooth removed was relatively painless. I often found myself tensed up in anticipation of pain and discomfort that never occurred. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Marshall explained what he was doing, and it was obvious the two nice ladies who were assisting him have worked with him for a while - they all worked together very well, everything went smoothly, and there was no confusion about what was being done. Thinking back, while everything went smoothly, I'm not real sure that everything went as planned. I'm pretty sure the plan was to pull my molar. But I'm guessing my molar wasn't interested in going along with the plan, since Dr. Marshall had to separate the roots of the tooth and remove each root individually. The thing is, Dr. Marshall and his staff transitioned from "Plan A" (pull the molar) to "Plan B" (separate the roots and remove them individually) so quickly and easily that I really don't know if they saw it as an additional problem. After the molar was removed, they told me what to expect, told me what to do to care for my mouth, gave me a printed page with those same instructions, and told me they have an answering service I could call after hours if I had any problems. As I write this, it is the day after the tooth was removed, and I've had no problems at all, no pain at all, and only a slight amount of soreness. I'll be a very happy camper if I never have to visit an oral surgeon again. But as you can probably tell by this review, if I ever do need to see an oral surgeon again, I'll be seeing Dr. Marshall.
