You can call to have the same order faxed over three different times, be told it's being faxed over three different times, rushed off the phone three different times, and then call the place you were referred to and be told three times that they have not received anything. You can call inquiring about your next appointment, be told you would be contacted in 2-5 business days once results were sent over, and then proceed to wait for 2 more weeks still without contact. This despite you having a copy of the testing results in your MyChart. This place is a joke and easily belongs in a museum of medicine's hall of fame, First-Team ALL-Medicine Lazy. I hate that I have to come here to be treated. I have to post this anonymously because I still have to come and fear retaliation. I plan to leverage the social media following I've spent the last 13 years gathering across platforms and make it my goal to make sure people from Shanghai to Chicago know that this isn't a place you should choose if you ever had a choice. My "bad" hip feels better than the replacement. He is pleasant when he meets with you but don't be fooled!! He wants to do many surgeries (did 13-15 with both my joint replacements in a day!!! Unheard of after talking to multiple new doctors!) and tells his patients the replacements last 30 years!!! My knee lasted 11 months and the hip he replaced will be next!!! Do not use Midwest ortho in Orland or oak lawn!!!! Do your research...there's many better ones out there!!! Your time and quality of life matters!!! Dr Branovacki took my quality of life for the last 1.5 years!!! I've seen Dr Leonard for shoulders who has you wait forever and has probably also gotten too many patients and rushes you out of the office. HOWEVER: I was with my elderly parent who had a cast removed by Dr. Atkenson. The blade did not automatically stop and despite my parent's screaming for him to stop, he continued. End result: 27 cuts that broke the skin, some of which got infected. (Luckily, no MRSA.) We complained and he said "I did the best I could!" The nurse said, "Oh, this happens all the time, it's why we do this at the office and not the hospital, because of the screaming!" This was unlike any cast removal I have ever witnessed or heard about. If you fracture something, you can do no better than to choose Atkenson as your surgeon. But DO NOT allow him to remove your cast...ask for a qualified tech or nurse who knows how to handle equipment. Before the above incident, I have recommended this man to my friends. Now, I tell them about the cast removal. If you don't know how to handle a sharp instrument, DON'T !!!

Not wanting to be a wimp, I ignored the pain in the hip and just kept going. I had a pretty bad limp and started using a cane. I came to my senses and finally retired and saw Dr B at the Oak Lawn office. He reviewed my xray with me and I could see how badly messed up the hip had become. He scheduled me for surgery in early October, 2021. Preop, in the surgery holding area, he explained everything again and allowed me to ask questions. I went into the OR are LaGrange Hospital at about 9:00 am and was home by 5:30 pm. I felt a little sore, but it wasn't bad at all. I had been given pain meds and they worked wonderfully. By mid-November 2021, I was back to my old self. I had to be very careful not to dislocate the hip by moving/sleeping the wrong way, but I felt wonderful. It is now January, 2022, and I am back at 100%. Dr Branovacki does wonderful work and is also a very nice guy. So glad I went to him.

I walk in to check in and the young man at the front desk was not friendly at all. That was my first bad sign. It's a big waiting area. I didn't wait long before my name was called. A woman took me back to a room with only a sliding door which I thought was odd. There was alot of activity going on once being taken back - more on that in a minute. I unfortunately got an important phone call when they took me back. The nurse was kind and patient with me. She excused herself and then came back a little later. I apologized for the call and she was like "no problem". She got information from me as to the reason for my visit. They took a hip x-ray. After she was done, I waited for the doctor. While waiting, I could hear clear conversations to patients outside outlying their surgery details because they were sitting right outside the thin sliding door. To me, that's a HIPAA violation - I shouldn't be hearing any medical information about anyone. It's the way they have things set up in the back so that definitely needs an update. Dr. Bedikian came in. He was friendly which was nice. What wasn't nice was his communication to me. He looked at my x-ray and said "you ready to schedule surgery"? I was stunned. He didn't go over my x-ray with me or inform me that I actually need surgery and what that would involve - I had to ask him to explain that to me which was concerning. He went and got the anatomical bone model to show me what would be done. He told me that to schedule surgery, I would need to talk to the female scheduler who is unavailable and that I would need to call. When checking out at the front desk, the receptionist guy was like "let me get the scheduler for you" which contradicted what the Dr. said. As he checked out other patients, I waited and waited and waited. After him checking in the back, he finally came back and gave me a card and told me to call to schedule surgery. I didn't call because I didn't feel seen - I just felt like another number. The female scheduler didn't actually call me until a week later to schedule surgery. I told her "no thank you". I won't be back here. I did find an ortho place that gave me the satisfaction and customer service that I was looking for that I will have a future surgery with them.

My son had an unfortunate accident on November 27th, just before Thanksgiving. He thought he had only dislocated his shoulder, but after an X-ray, we learned he had actually broken his clavicle bone. The hospital informed us that surgery was likely necessary, but we needed to see an orthopedic specialist to confirm. We were fortunate to secure an appointment with Parkview Orthopedic Group on December 2nd. After reviewing the X-ray, the doctor confirmed the fracture was severe, and surgery would be required to address multiple bone fragments. The earliest available surgery date was December 12th, but the very next day, we received a call that the surgery was being rescheduled. Dr. Luke was now assigned to my son's case, and he could perform the surgery on December 10th. This was a bit of good news, as it meant my son would get the care he needed sooner. On December 4th, we met Dr. Luke. He thoroughly explained the situation, describing how the bone fragments would need to be repositioned and then secure the bone with a plate. He also took the time to explain the importance of avoiding damage to my son's growth plates. Dr. Luke made us feel confident that my son was in excellent hands. The next 13 days were tough--my son had to sleep in a chair, and the bone pushed against his skin in a way that looked extremely painful. He was able to attend school up until the day before surgery, demonstrating incredible resilience. He truly handled it like a soldier. On the morning of surgery, Dr. Luke reassured us by explaining that they would perform a nerve block to manage pain for up to 24 hours after the procedure. While I was a little nervous about the nerve block after reading about it, the anesthesia team made sure my son was comfortable and explained everything to him. After about two hours in surgery, Dr. Luke came out to update me, saying the procedure went very well. He managed to reposition all but one of the bone fragments. The nerve block worked wonders, but by around 4 a.m. the next morning, as it wore off, my son experienced significant pain. Fortunately, the prescribed pain medication helped bring the discomfort to a more tolerable level. A week later, we had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Luke. The nurse removed the bandages, and everything looked great. Dr. Luke used sutures instead of staples to minimize scarring, which was another thoughtful detail. Since my son is young and recovering well, Dr. Luke gave him a list of exercises to do. We've had several follow-up appointments with Dr. Luke since then, and my son continues to heal well. He gave my son a choice of self-therapy if he wants, which he was thrilled about. Dr. Luke has been exceptional every step of the way--never rushing us, always answering our questions, and providing outstanding care. If you find yourself in need of orthopedic surgery, I can't recommend Dr. Kevin W. Luke enough. His expertise, compassion, and thoroughness made all the difference in my son's recovery. Thank you, Dr. Luke, for your excellent care and for putting my son's clavicle back together! I'm not sure what happened with the others who left negative reviews, but their experiences don't match mine at all!

The whole time there the sink was not just dripping, it had a steady stream the whole hour we were there. The sink was a filthy disaster. All around you can see see things that should be attended to. These facilities are supposed to be clean. People come here for clean surroundings that will not create germs. Please check this out.
