She asked pertinent questions to understand my needs and concerns. I've had several appointments so far and never feel rushed. She is very patient and easy to talk to. Dr Hermes is also very prompt with calling with lab results to explain the findings. The office is fully digital- I can view my records at any time, make appointments and send messages. The atmosphere in the office is calm and relaxed; there is no practice of overbooking here and you're not stuck in the waiting room even though you showed up at the scheduled time.

I have been sick now for well over 2 weeks first with the flu and now a very stubborn upper respiratory infection. Seeing that the end of the year is approaching and my sick self was also due for my annual "end of the year checkup" with Dr. Loiacono. That's exactly what brought me in today. I love everything about this office and the staff! Upon walking in you are greeted by the wonderful ladies behind the desk. Larolla and Jackie are the sweetest. They truly make you feel welcome. They take the time to get to know all of the patients. There's never a ridiculous long wait here. The nurses are just fabulous! Dr. Loiacono never makes you feel rushed during your time with him. He's truly a gem! I had routine lab work done (note: all lab work is done here in the office), I was also fasting for 11 hours so Doc could run a full cholesterol check as well and I also got my flu shot. Dr. Loiacono, as always, said that my lab results would be ready the next day and they were. The following day I received a phone call from Dee the nurse with my results. Charting here at this office is all done the old fashioned way... all hand written, yellow files that are flowing very organized in filing cabinets behind the receptionist desk. Now I can only review on Dr. Loiacono because I've only built my patient/doctor relationship with him and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about him and how much he has done for me. All 3 docs here do work together. So if for instance- if Dr. Loiacono were to be away for example and I needed medical assistance then obviously one of his other associates would cover for him. I've heard great things as well about the other docs here. You won't find a digital blood pressure cuff here. They have the old school blood pressure cuff pumps attached to the wall in each exam room. You also won't find computers in the exam rooms nor Dr. Loiacono looking at the screen the entire time you are talking to him. Your time with the doctors her means just that. Here at West Suburban Family Practice Associates you as a patient come first and that's the way it should be. That's the way it should be everywhere else but unfortunately that's not always the case. The doctors here are not walking out the door while you are still talking or asking questions. You matter! This office truly is a rarity and one of a kind. Very few doctors offices's still exist just like this- Meaning where they do everything by hand and they don't have the high tech computer systems and equipment. In fact doctors of small business such as this one, choose to pay the state federal government an extra stipend per month to maintain the practice to be kept just like this!!! Which isn't cheap on their end and no you as a patient are not charged more for that choice on your end as well. In theory why fix something if it isn't broken, right? All of those hospital CEOs that changed and forced doctors to do things a "their way", have no medical training whatsoever. Their just businessmen/women making huge decisions that effect the lives of patients everywhere. So I applaud doctors like Dr. Loiacono and his practice for not giving in. If you are looking for a fantastic family doctor/medical physician for either you and your family and even your little one too go here!! They're great with children as well! *They accept a ton of different insurances. I'd recommend calling first of course to make sure you are in their network.*

Well not here, this office gives you the feeling of how things used to be. I love that feeling, as you walk into the office you can smell the old office. The front door squeaks as soon as you open it. Nevertheless the office itself is inside a small colonial building which right away makes you wonder how the inside would be. As I opened the door to what would my new permanent doctors office I was greeted by a wonderful receptionist. I gave her my name and she asked me to fill out some paperwork. I was shocked to find out that it was like the old days where I was a kid and my dad had to fill out paperwork. My last doctor had a tablet where I filled everything up. Not this doctors office. They do it the old way or as they say the good way. Where the receptionist sits there are files on files of patients informations alphabetically in order. I was there to see Dr. L, he's a wonderful family doctor and I am sure going to be back. I told him I would become his patient. He also writes everything down on actual paper and listens well to you. Not like other offices where they are typing away and staring at a computer. So for now my fellow yelpers be sure to check this Drs office if you are ever in need of a good office.

They did not agree with me, but I am taking over the counter meds now & am much better. He keeps in touch on a regular basis as well. He does not tell you he can't do anything for you anymore. He works with you & never pushes anything on you. I also have a cyst on my spine that does not have to get removed. He does not remove it. He had me get the MRI to find out what was causing my pain etc. He explains everything very well & it really shows so much care. He jokes around too which I love. I will go back for follow ups as I am much better than I used to be for sure. We need more caring doctors like him. The office is very pleasant too with the staff. Very clean & they decorate the place very nice for the holidays. They go all out.

I was surprised that most of those ahead of me had APPOINTMENTS. Appointments? Um...isn't this Immediate Care? Did I need an appointment? If my fever weren't so high, I may have actually tried to process all of this. The bad: I was there 2 hours, which is ridiculous considering I opened the place. Reason was they only had 1 doctor there. What? Cold/flu season! Also, staff were discussing cases very loudly and I know way too much about people who don't want me to know their health status. The good: Dr. Janet Nielsen was professional, kind, upbeat and competent. Worth the wait. Best doctor I have seen in a long time. Maybe ever. 4 stars due to being clearly understaffed, the confusion about appointments, and the HIPAA violators. De. Nielsen alone is 5 stars. Next time will make an appointment with her!

He has ignored pages we gave him when my father was in the hospital - never returned that call. I have had to threaten reporting him the the IDPR in order to get services for my parents. I try to hide as much as I can from the sun but I have an extended family (in laws) that love the sun. I would prefer my 20 minutes a day of Vitamin D and then be done with sun literally burning my skin. Of course like any insane Generation X female, I used to "tan" in the artificial tanning booths in my late 20's and early 30's. Now that I have mature skin I want NO part of the sun burning me up and ruining my face. I gave this office a visit a few years ago. I really did enjoy speaking to Dr. Beth Adams, who unfortunately is not here any longer/ Her bedside manner was very kind and caring. This was two years ago, at least. I have since then noticed that I have a few "sun" spots on my face and I really wanted them gone. I decided to make an appt and to my surprise the wait was long. I booked the appt in July and the appt wasn't until late August. I ended up seeing Dr. Emily Stevenson. She suggested that I have the sun spots "frozen" off. She told me the cost and I thought this was a reasonable price for removing 10 blemishes. I had the sun spots "frozen". The skin did get red and did scab over the next few days. I hid my face under a mask for a few days and that did the trick. I made sure that the scabs were covered with Vaseline and my skins never got too dry. The scars did heal well. Dr. Emily did tell me that some blemished may need an additional session because they are stubborn. I may have to go back but I won't do that until the Spring time when I am on Break. She also said to wear tons of sunblock which I am trying to. I was satisfied with the service I received.
