I know this particular pain clinic is a bit of a chain, but was advised to stay in northern Va locations, even after moving to Richmond. As a nurse, I've heard horror stories about pain clinics for years, but this location has so far been nice. No medication changes to the regimen I've been on for years at this point, the office staff is pleasant and professional. The doctor I liked has moved to Maryland, so will be getting used to someone else again. The waiting room is small, but comfortable, the appointments tend to run on time. You must keep up with all payments, and don't miss your appointment if you can help it. All in all, it's been a good experience so far.

He is the reason why I retired with time instead of disability. He is the reason why I can watch my grandchildren and, I was able to travel to Japan to see my family. I had surgery years ago. The residuals are DDD and other back/hip/leg conditions. This capitulated the need for myriad amounts of physical therapy, prednisone, and other modalities that rendered short lived success. It was very depressing to experience what I thought was the end of my career that I truly loved, and the end of my quality of life, even though I am a positive person. I worked 50-60 hours (or more) as a civilian program manager for a Federal law enforcement agency. Not only was the commute grueling, I sat for several hours at my desk (and intermittently stood for 1.5 hours or more as I organized, created training materials, and provided training seminars). I would not have been able to successfully perform my duties without Dr. Balint. I found out about Dr. Balint via LEO's who received successful treatment from him whom I saw recover completely. When I could barely walk and I was, yet again, in incessantly horrendous pain, I made an appointment. I am so very glad I listened to them because they were absolutely right! Dr. Balint's epidermal blocks are always in point. After the nerve blocks, I almost forgot my cane!! I had not felt that great for years!! The nerve blocks last from 9 months to 1 year. I have grandkids and I am pretty active with them. Since I have retired from work, I try to help my daughters by babysitting & helping the grandkids with their homework. Dr. Balint and his staff have always been very professional, approachable, and always make my day brighter! I thank God for him every time I wake up and I am able to function. IN ANY EVENT, I recently met and had an outstanding experience with Dr. Trucksess and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone. She seemed familiar with my situation but still asked questions and listened, never rushing me. She maintained a great dialogue with me throughout her testing process on my hand, walking me through what she was doing and explaining what she was finding. She is clearly extremely knowledgeable and had a fantastic bedside manner. I'd recommend her to anyone needing her specialty and would absolutely go back to her again if needed.

I was a heptathlete from age 10 to 24 and twenty plus years later have much arthritis throughout my spine knee and shoulders to show for it. I've survived 2 car crashes into my car and a moving truck collision headon into a tree during a bad storm in which I suffered broken teeth and severe soft tissue injuries, sjc joint dislocation and vertebral strains that took over a year to treat and still being treated. I've had about 12 surgeries over the years to include my back and knee. So I understand pain from patient's perspective very well and how it can take over your life. I understand pain because of my Masters degree in biology: molecular science. Dr. Greene knows how what to do to get you back to your goals. I hope you will get to be seen by Dr. Greene. I hurt myself during the birth of my first child 19 years ago by tearing muscles in my back and glutes that destabilized my lower spine. I was in excruciating pain. The only therapist who could ever relieve my pain was Melanie. I have been her patient for several other injuries because she's the only one I trust. I love that she's hands on! Currently, I have pain in the left side and back of my left leg, which makes it difficult for me to walk. I'm able to use other therapists with zero charge for my insurance, but I choose Melanie because I'd rather pay some money out-of-pocket than to waste my time with other therapists who are unfortunately not as capable and knowable as Melanie. When I wasn't able to consult Melanie, I visited four therapists, an OMM doctor, and a great chiropractor, but Melanie is the only one who could fix my pain. I cannot say enough about how amazing, professional, knowledgeable, and kind Melanie is. You are in very good and capable hands with her.

I ultimately decided to continue care with and in-network provider but getting records from VSI was a pain. They have an online patient portal with mostly empty tabs. I called to request my xrays and they can't upload them so I requested a CD to pickup. The CD wasn't ready when they said it would be and I had to wait 15 min for it. For my original appointment most of the few bins of snacks for patients were empty. Not a big deal, but shows poor management. I used them years ago and had a good experience, which is why I went back, but my opinion has changed
