Dr. Linn is a gallbladder ninja!
My hubby recently has his gallbladder removed after some not-so-fun painful episodes, and we were referred to Dr. Linn, by a host of doctors we are connected with, to handle the surgery.
Initial Consultation
My hubby is a tough brave man. But he was really nervous to have gallbladder surgery. We set up our first appointment with Dr. Linn. Take note, the front desk staff at the Evanston location is less than warm and friendly, but once you pass through the doors, the personality meter of the staff warms way up ;-) After a weight and blood pressure check, we had our consultation with Dr. Linn. Responding to my hubby's gallbladder hospital tests, there was no doubt in his mind we were getting surgery...and his recommendation was sooner than later. Linn was so confident and warm, yet direct. After our initial consultation, we met with the follow up nurse, who walked us through even more paperwork and procedures, etc. We set up surgery for two weeks later. Linn works out of Evanston and Glenbrook hospitals, so the day that worked with our schedule led us to Glenbrook.
Day Of Surgery-Glenbrook Hospital
After meeting with the surgery team, Dr. Linn came in to my hubby's hospital room, prepped us with some information, told him to quit reading stuff on the Internet about other patient stories (did suggest Mayo Clinic site), and put my really nervous hubby at ease. I left after they wheeled him in, and Dr. Linn called me with the good news update that the laparoscopic cholecystectomy went as planned.
After Surgery
Though we haven't really had the opportunity to follow up with Dr. Linn directly with some pain-related/recovery questions, we have been able to communicate with his nurses with ease. Our final consultation is this Friday, but I'm certain we'll be receiving a two thumbs up! read more
