They promised a full treatment that included UV light therapy, but once I was already connected to the machine, I was told they couldn't perform that part because they didn't have the proper tubing. No one informed me ahead of time. The second session was far more concerning. The procedure was handled by a nurse who openly stated she had only been there a few months and had no prior experience with EBOO treatments. She began the procedure unsupervised. During the session, the tubing clogged twice, interrupting the process, that was something that didn't happen in the first session. After that session, my health quickly declined. Within three days, I ended up in the ER with pneumonia and symptoms close to a heart attack. According to the doctor, this was likely due to excessive ozone exposure, which can cause oxidative stress and damage to cells, as well as complications affecting the heart and lungs. Months later, I am still dealing with the consequences and now require inhalers. Before this, I was a very healthy and active person, I regularly biked and hiked. I went in simply looking for a treatment that was advertised as a way to "clean and oxygenate" my blood. Instead, I walked away with permanent health issues. Communication and accountability were also unacceptable. I tried contacting the person who sold me the package (Ben) while I was in the hospital and received no response. The only time I heard back was after I threatened to dispute the credit card charge, and even then, there was no concern expressed, no follow-up, and no attempt to offer solutions despite me being hospitalized for several days. There was no doctor on-site supervising the procedure or ensuring patient safety. That alone should raise serious concerns for anyone considering this treatment. It's crazy that women's moon cycles can be regulated with something so simple as seeds! I can't believe this isn't common knowledge. One thing I really like about Dr. Masha as compared to other naturopathic doctors I have worked with is that she is careful to work within my budget. Her plan for regulating my cycle involved flax seeds and sesame seeds- something I could definitely afford. In the past, I have worked with naturopaths who convince me to spend hundred of dollars on specific tests, and then committee to a supplement regime that costs hundred of dollars every month. While Dr. Masha did recommend supplements, they are all ones that I could afford. She provided me guidance on brands, but did not insist that I buy the most expensive brand through her (as has been my past experience). I was seeing a new one without any success. I was in bad shape! I can't imagine where I'd be today had I not found Dr. Fujiyama. Sincerely! TCM has played a large role in my life ever since being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune condition. I have worked with very skilled doctors and acupuncturists who eventually retired. Unfortunately, I had a few others in between that just never really grasped the complexity of my needs and actually exacerbated my condition. When I look back, I believe the reasons for the successful treatments were due to the connection I had with certain doctors. Not only were they wise and experienced, but they also had a warm-welcoming demeanor. I actually felt cared for when I was treated by them. They took the time to address my concerns and truly listened to me and my "body's needs." I trusted them. So when it came down for them to retire, not only was I bummed, but I was also afraid. The whole "starting from scratch" thing is exhausting for anyone. And I had to do it twice. But then along came Dr. Fujiyama! Dr. Fujiyama embodies all the same traits as those seasoned doctors. I feel safe with her. I trust her. She listens. She is intelligent. She is intuitive. You can see " the wheels turning." She is engaged, deeply. But she is careful, I like this about her! I'm like a cat, I have to ease into people. But with her, it didn't take long to lower my guard. Dr. Fujiyama is not a one-trick pony. She is both talented and knowledgable, especially about autoimmune conditions. Unless it's their specialization, I have not met many TCM doctors with this additional background. Dr. Fujiyama is gentle in her approach to TCM, even when she is adding herbs to my protocol. She always starts with a " let's dip a toe in the water " approach rather than "jumping in headfirst." She is sensible because she knows people with autoimmune conditions need gentle treatments- there are so many unknown triggers that can confuse the immune system. Dr. Fujiyama's goal is to determine and treat the underlying cause of an issue, not just treat the symptoms. This is what is most important to me. When you walk in her office, you feel welcomed and comfortable. Her office is clean, quiet, and quaint. She uses essential oils for relaxation and a sound machine to drown out any outer-office noise. Her treatments are organized and effective. Rarely, do her treatments hurt. If they do, it's due to a sensitive point on the body more than it is Dr. Fujiyama's technique. She has an excellent technique actually! Now that I have practically written a novel about the amazing Dr. Fujiyama, I'll leave you with this.... Dr. Fujiyama is the real deal! She is genuine! There is not an ounce of ego in this doctor. She is a doctor because she wants to heal people.
