We visited for an initial orthodontic consultation and had a wonderful experience. The office was welcoming and efficient -- the reception staff were friendly, we were seen right away, and my son's X-rays were completed quickly using what appeared to be very up-to-date technology. The treatment coordinator was knowledgeable, personable, and took the time to answer all of our questions. We also met Dr. Gray, who was incredibly kind and made my son feel comfortable right away. Although we ultimately chose a different orthodontist due to proximity and in-network insurance savings, we were very impressed with the level of care and professionalism here. If we lived closer, we likely would have moved forward with Dr. Gray. We initially scheduled the consultation based on a strong recommendation from a friend whose family has had a great experience here -- and I can absolutely see why. So far our experience has been a pleasant one. We met with Jana and she took great care of us. We did have to wait a while in between X-rays and whatnot but it wasn't bad at all. During our wait, they have a nice little coffee bar, and I was able to read my book. They also have a little area for the kids to sit and play some games- Mario Kart anyone? Definitely a great way to pass the time while waiting. Upon arriving, we were also greeted by both ladies at the front desk and they were both attentive as well as friendly! I truly appreciate the simple fact that they were all so nice here. It all felt so genuine and authentic. Dr. Gray is by far very knowledgeable about his work and you can tell he takes great pride in the work he does. He didn't hesitate to ask for more time to review the case further for one of my kids. Just shows how important it is for him to get a full scope and evaluate everything. I do have to find another provider for general dentistry, and asked if they could help me with that. They recommended Persona dental- looking forward to meeting with them and I'm hopeful to receive good quality care from an honest company. I was recommended to Dr. Gray's office and got clear aligners (SureSmile by Dental Sirona.) I was an adult patient who already had braces as a kid and was seeking minor corrections. Pros -Office environment: clean and upbeat decor -Friendly staff Cons -Received incomplete oral hygiene instructions for aligners which caused me issues which I brought up to the staff. -I wasn't satisfied with my initial outcome and received additional treatment. I think my results are good overall, but I still question if one of my teeth is in the correct position which I shared with the Dr. -Sometimes there were long wait times in the office. -Aligners and retainers sometimes cracked and required replacement. I was given the option to buy into a retainer program or upgrade to a mouth guard retainer but decided to get retainers done at another office. I wouldn't repeat the process of getting clear aligners at Dr. Gray's. If I did it again I would be interested in trying Invisalign at another office or getting braces short term. read more

My child just recently got braces and had some issues with the wires poking the gums and was complaining quite a bit. We were visiting Claremont CA over Thanksgiving break and called Thanksgiving Day for emergency orthodontic services. We are not patients of Dr Greys but they had an emergency number and we took our chances. Luckily a sweet office member picked up and said she could take a look that morning, ok Thanksgiving day. We met her at the office and she was able to assess the situation and cut/crimp the wires. We were so thankful for Tracy and for seeing us even though we were not an existing patient. I had an underbite crossbite with missing molars and a very large lower mouth. I was about 40 years old when I underwent orthodontic treatment in 2017, double jaw surgery 2018, and I opt for an all on 4 zirconia on my bottom arch with Clear Choice in West Covina in 2020 . My upper teeth were very small, and I had to complete the bite by getting zirconia crowns on a trip to istanbul Turkey in 2024. My 12 crowns cost $2,400 total for my upper jaw. I have spent over $45,000 getting here. The highest expense was Clear Choice getting the all on 4 Zirconia for my lower for 25k. Braces were about 9,500. Looking back, I should have considered going to Turkey for my all on 4 bottom arch/implants. Clear Choice did a beautiful job with my Nobel implants. I have a beautiful smile now. I'm able to chew on all sides. My crossbite was so bad that I could never chew on my sides. I swallowed food whole and ate like a rabbit before. Dr. Gray and my jaw surgeon Dr. Cummings laid the proper foundation for the finished product. Thank you, Dr. Gray and your awesome team! I always smiled with my mouth closed, and now I annoyingly smile all the time. My braces journey was about a year with Dr. Gray. If you would like your child's tooth to be pulled out without any anesthetic, then this is the place for you. They removed my daughters palatal expander along with her molar. It was a horrible experience. Tooth was not loose at all. After 40 minutes of them trying to take it out, her tooth came with it. I met Dr. Gray in 2021and I have to say that I was a bit skeptical that he could do much for me because I was 67 years old and my teeth were in horrible shape. My regular dentist does orthodontic work but he referred me to Dr. Gray with the implication being that I really needed someone with a lot more expertise. During the initial consultation Dr. Gray assured me that he could straighten my teeth and that the tooth heights would level out with one another. It probably took me longer (about 2 years) than most patients to get my tooth positions all corrected but considering where I started from I see my results as a bit of a miracle. I started off with metal braces and then was fitted with plastic aligners. Along the way I was always impressed with Dr. Gray and his amazing staff. They were all so knowledgeable and courteous. When I look back at pictures of my teeth before seeing Dr. Gray I am shocked at how crooked and overlapping they were. During my working years I guess that I felt that I didn't have the time or the need for orthodontic work but now I wonder why I waited so long. I am beyond upset with this place. "designer smiles" is a LIE. After paying $2000+ for aligners and waiting months for straight teeth, Dr. Gray tells me (when I am done with my trays) that he never thought to mention that one of my teeth could not be straightened all the way. He suggested I get a veneer from my dentist if it bothered me. Okay, fine. My teeth look okay. So, a year has gone by now. You are supposed to wear the retainer FOR LIFE, which means getting new ones every year or so when they crack... fine... but I call and they tell me they LOST MY FILE so they have to re-scan my teeth before they can even custom order me a new retainer... which costs $200. and takes a week or two. When you walk into this place, you will see 20 new patients' names on the board each day. But once you have spent thousands, you are entirely replaceable, and they likely just toss your file out. There is always a steady supply of people who are self-conscious about their teeth and will give him more money. Dr. Grey probably just wants to be able to afford a second yacht before he retires. He doesn't care about his patients. I am just going to find a new orthodontist for my new retainer. read more

This place is huge and has a lot of staff. The waiting room is very nice and it has a little video game section for the kids. There's also a nice little toothbrush station for you to get your teeth clean up before or after seeing the Dr. Dr Gray is a very nice person and works nicely with kids. I came to Dr. Gray and his team when I noticed that my teeth were getting crooked years after having them straightened when I was a teen. Dr. Gray advised me on the invisalign teeth straightening solution, which sounded like a good option since I had previously had braces. Your facility is always clean and I feel very comfortable in the lobby. During my treatment I had an underbite and a very narrow upper jaw. In order to correct this, I needed to undergo surgery. Dr. Gray and his staff helped prep me mentally for the process and got me connected with the right surgeon for my insurance. So happy I had it done. I started out with Dr. Gray in 1997 as a sophomore in high school. He assured me that I'd have my braces off for my senior pictures. Promise made and kept! My parents allowed me to go to the office for treatment on my own, mostly because the staff was absolutely amazing! (Still is). As I grew up, I compared all other office staff to Dr. Gray's office. If they didn't meet his staff's kindness, organization, and general common sense practices, I was disappointed and moved on. It is a difficult task for an office staff to be compared to them, because of their high standard of caring. One really neat thing is they always wear the same color or type of outfit, the details are fun. It's very family friendly. When my children were ready for orthodontics, there was NO question where I'd take my children. I currently have 2 kiddos in braces and couldn't be happier. The staff is still as amazing as I remember from being a kid. It sounds a little silly, but they are like family to me. I see them almost more than my extended family. Sometimes 2-3 times a month. They go above and beyond the call of duty to make my children and myself comfortable. Really, it's hard to explain. Maybe it's simply great hospitality?! There have been several times I had to go with all of my children, and they recognized my challenge of doing so with a small gift. They see those struggles and have lifted me up more than once. For example: I got a rose and small card signed by my daughter Mother's Day just for being in that week. And my daughter got a rose and a coupon for an ice cream the day she got her braces on. It's not just the little extra they do, it's the whole picture. I do not hesitate to recommend anyone and everyone for treatment at Dr. Gray's office. Something about this office felt off. They started with a tour... it's a dental office why am I getting a tour? Then we did x rays which was pretty standard. Then I spoke with Jana and another lady who went over my treatment plan. I was in Invisalign for 2 plus years and my teeth are shifting. I wanted to see about fixing that with maybe a retainer or traditional braces. Jana provided me a quote for almost 4K for 3m clear braces. I asked about other options and basically was told I needed complete new treatment and there were no other options. I couldn't even get the prices on traditional braces because "they are basically the same price as 3m".. umm okay but can I get a quote? It really felt like everything I explained went in one ear and out the other. I had to literally ask "are we on the same page here". I just had an off feeling and just went back to my dentist who is going to try and help me with my original Invisalign. Which this place was offering to do as well but I couldn't get past the part if not getting additional quotes and basically just pushing me to get a whole new treatment plan. I am 20k into my teeth between work and braces I am not willing to do another 4K without weighing my options. I can't remember the other lady who went over the treatment with me but she was pretty friendly but definitely talked to me like I was a kid which was kind of degrading but it happens when you work with kids. Well.... let me be honest here. I had braces as a child. I never wore my retainer, of course I should have listened to my mom but that's another story. As a young adult in my 20's I got Invisalign with another dentist. Finished my top trays and was one tray away from my last tray. I never finished. Fast forward 10 years I am kicking myself looking at my crowded lower teeth. So I decided I would get braces. I was recommended here from my dentist and I was so happy with the facilities and the dentist. I mean the whole office is amazing. They even have fresh cookies! Who doesn't like cookies come on!! So I got the whole consultation and then the price review came. I figured they had to be super expensive because look at their office! Before I tell you about the price let me tell you after I left I went to another orthodontist consultation. I was depressed. It's like going to Nordstrom and then going to Ross. Nothing is wrong with either store but it's hard to go in that direction if you know what I mean. Now this "other place" didn't do X-rays, no photos, and she miss quoted me in price. So guess what! They were actually only $50 more than my "other" quote. I couldn't not be happier, of course my teeth are sore but this time I WILL WEAR MY RETAINER!! read more

Though having appliances in my mouth have always felt like a hassle because of the the added time I spent brushing and flossing multiple times a day, the visits to this office were always a treat. I appreciate how every time I arrive to my appointment, it feels like I am a guest at a 5-star hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional, the technology is advanced and never have to wait long. My favorite part is how I always had an option to pick up new liner trays or have them mailed to my home to save me a trip.
