I watched Dr. Taylor put in the prescription right then and there which was also fantastic, don't remember the last time I saw a doctor put everything in instead of an assistant. Dr. Taylor was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions and was very patient with us. Turns out my daughter has the unusual and rare anisometropia that will need correction but ultimately he left it up to us for when why. Anywhere else would have immediately put her in glasses and charged an arm and a leg for the insane prescription she needs. Can begin to say how much I appreciate being in charge of our care and wallet. They were fantastic enough to do both me and my daughter's appointment at exactly the same time. And I don't mean I did mine and she followed behind me. We were together for the entire appointment, PERFECT for a kid's first appointment or in our case someone who struggles speaking to strangers. Which actually wasn't a problem, partially because I was there and she was able to watch me and partially because of how great the staff was. They really were so great with her that I know that she won't need me with her but has the option of she wants me. They helped up maximize our insurance benefits which is one of the most important things. They didn't just max everything out they helped us get what we need and use all of our benefit, our out of pocket costs were negligible. I prefer contacts but I need prescription sunglasses for those days I don't wear contacts. Previous providers have just put in orders for contacts not even asking what I want and I walk out $600 lighter and ALWAYS have many contacts left over that what am I supposed to do with?? I was never allowed to just order a box or two, or more accurately I probably was the office just never let me because why would they? Jacksonville Visions Center however let me, I felt like I could actually ask questions and had control over what was happening. Dr. Taylor wrote the prescription for whatever I needed for a year but they are allowing me to order a few boxes at a time so I don't end up with a stock pile of contacts I don't need and don't know what to do with. I cannot rave enough at how patient, knowledgeable and helpful they were with helping my indecisive daughter pick her first pair of glasses. It is a very big decision and they were so AMAZING. I cannot remember her name ((I'll update when I do)) was so great. She put so much attention into making sure the glasses fit her face and complimented her. She was more than happy to collect all 59 pairs and let her keep trying them on. She had a great system for narrowing them down, let her walk around the store and hang out with them while I was searching so she could get a feel for them. It took a bit of time and effort but she found the perfect glasses and she is so happy with them. I believe she's had them 4 months now and she's not complained once, except of course she needs them tightened again and we know we just gotta head in to the office (today hopefully) and they'll get her situated. We REALLY love Jacksonville Vision Center. The only complaint I have is not knowing they existed before! We wasted so much time and energy with EyeCare center just to talk to a tv screen. My whole family has switched and we couldn't be happier. I am certain you will not regret seeing Dr. Taylor.

Reason for visit is cause I had a metal shard get in my eye cause I was doing some custom work to car, I was having issues with seeing, came to Dr. Carol Johnston office and spent not even 1min with her working on me and then she said done, I was like what you mean your done!! she removed the shard, rust, and gave anti drops and made me feel comfortable the whole time which by the way I was freaking out cause the ER put a needle in my eye so had a bad taste for it, which she didn't by the way, she has skills. This was a pre-op visit for my upcoming Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery) with Dr. Carol Johnston of Office Park Eye Center. This is my second experience with Dr. Carol Johnston after having cataract surgery on both eyes several months earlier. Having experienced an outstanding experience and remarkable results with that procedure, I had no reservation or apprehension regarding my upcoming blepharoplasty procedure. I entered the Onslow Diagnostics Office and the front desk representative, Jabreea who has the kindest eyes and most lovely smile welcomed me to come forward to her window immediately, after explaining that I had a sick doggy in the car resting in the AC, she assured me she would let the others know that I may have to check on Tucker throughout the pre-op screening! Anesthesiologist Kate called me back promptly and patiently, professionally, and thoroughly went through all of my surgery history, medicine list, and all other pertinent information with grace and kindness. She didn't rush me and was open to any questions or concerns that I may have had. I felt very confident after leaving Kate and found Abby waiting to do my blood work and EKG. Abby was genuinely sweet and very determined to make the blood draw comfortable for me. MacKenzie watched over the procedure and was encouraging to Abby as she went about her tasks. I never felt the "poke" of the needle and the EKG was over in no time! Overall, it was just a smooth and relaxed experience and at no point did I feel rushed or nervous. As I left, Jabreea was there to say "goodbye and wished my Tucker a speedy recovery" which meant the world to me. This facility is a very warm and compassionate sanctuary, especially for others who are suffering through much more complicated scenarios than me and I feel that having warm and caring staff members like the ones that I encountered means the world to everyone who is uncertain and frightened about their future health issues. I'm thankful that Onslow Diagnostics has the best of the best to shepherd us through the ins and outs of pre-op procedures. After numerous calls and messages, sweet BREANNA picked up the phone at 2 PM and just owned the whole situation! She made contact promptly with KARMA and I have no doubt that between the two of these professional and personable women, I'll have my meds today. Please thank both Breanna and Karma for me! With Breanna, her patience, willingness to help, and reassurance helped to calm me and I feel confident that the dilemma is resolved! I'm so grateful for Karma and staff members like Breanna who understand how frustrating these situations can be for the patient. Her attention to the details of the situation kept me from having to repeat the whole scenario over and over and she just took it forward, assuring me that everything would be resolved and that she'd call me back promptly, I felt complete relief after a stressful morning. With Karma, I always feel that I am the only patient at the practice, she makes you feel that special! I've been with her for roughly 10 years and the undivided attention that she shows me during my visits are such a blessing to me. They use one drug test lab and it is a joke. I know bad results when I see it. I retired from D.O.D getting at the truth was what I do. There should be two independent labs not one. Caution Active Duty Military. First let me start with the good. The staff members who checked me…read morein for my initial and follow up study were both professional and friendly. The environment was clean, quiet, and comfortable. No problems with that portion of my experience. The problem occurred when my provider sent the prescription for the CPAP equipment. The person I spoke to about scheduling the appointment to pick up my equipment told me I was 100% covered, however, there would be a $40 "setup fee" that was not "insurance detected". In other words, my insurance company (Tricare) knows nothing about this fee and it is not covered. I told her I didn't need any setup, I just wanted the equipment. She stated that the setup was required, and I could not get the CPAP equipment without it. She repeatedly tried to talk over me as I attempted to explain that I would not be paying any "setup fee" for my equipment as my medical expenses are completely covered under Tricare. She was rude, condescending, and frankly, not very smart. I notified Tricare that they are charging active duty service members this "setup fee". Tricare had no idea this was happening. If you are active duty military you absolutely have the option to get your equipment from another company with zero out of pocket expense. I highly recommend staying away Feeling Great Sleep Center who are ripping off active duty people.
