Dr. Van Tassel and his staff were rude to my grandmother.
She was due for a pacemaker checkup, and it took 5 phone calls, with over 3 hours of being on hold, and waiting for their front office to confirm that she was booked. When we spoke about this to the Doctor, he blamed the numerous people he was seeing; implying she was not important enough.
Furthermore, when asked who we should speak to, he simply brushed us off and referred us to the practice administrator. When we asked who she was, he could not give us a name. In my mind, this is not professional at all.
Finally, despite having a file that clearly says to call other family members, not my grandmother (she has Alzheimer's), to confirm an appointment, the office did not do so. It took us going to another doctor, who noted we had not taken her to the cardiologist to realize this mistake.
I don't come on here to rant; but Dr. Van Tassel was unprofessional, discourteous, and rude. read more
