He is a fabulous doctor and given my considerable perspective I wanted to finally share this review. Dr. Eshaghian has the perfect temperament for practicing medicine. He is a very attentive listener and observer. Having world-class knowledge in his field, he also possesses superior judgment in knowing when to intervene and when to simply keep an eye on things. His office always operates extremely effectively and professionally, I can't say enough good things about them either. And I can't count the times other doctors in the Cedars-Sinai system, without any prompting from me, have commented on what a first-rate doctor they believe Dr. Eshaghian is. I would recommend him without reservation to any patient seeking the highest level of care.

I recently had surgery and had to have pre-ops tests and exams completed ahead of the procedure. My…read moreprimary care physician decided that I would need to have clearance from a cardiologist before they would clear me for surgery. However, surgery was just one week away! I contacted the office of a cardiologist who I had seen a few years ago and really liked to see if I could get an appointment. The office said that since it had been over three years since I had seen the doctor, I would be considered a new patient, and it would be a five month wait until I could get an appointment. What?!? I got in touch with my surgeon's office, and they referred me to Dr. Shervin Eshaghian at Beverly Hills Cardiology. Although the office is not close to where I live, I was desperate to find someone that could see me. I called the office on a Thursday afternoon and was helped by Amy. She was able to offer an appointment on Monday morning! I was very thankful that they would be able to fit me at such a last minute. The offices are located in Century City. The parking structure was very crowded, and I would recommend arriving at least 20 minutes ahead of an appointment to have time to park and get to the office. There is valet available and the valet attendants were very nice, and they worked very hard to accommodate everyone. The appointment went very well and everyone that I encountered was professional and great to work with. Evelyn A. took care of taking my vitals prior to seeing the doctor and she was very personable and made me feel very comfortable. Shortly after seeing her, Dr. Eshaghian started the exam. He learned about all the details of my upcoming surgery and was able to set me up with an echocardiogram on the spot. Chris conducted the echocardiogram and explained everything that was going on with the test. I have never had an echocardiographer provide so much information while having the test. When all was said and done, I was cleared for the surgery three days later. I was in the hospital for four nights. Each day, Dr. Eshaghian stopped by to check in on me, which I truly appreciated. He is very caring and going forward, I will gladly drive the extra distance to remain one of his patients.

From the beginning, the staff was patient, kind, and respectful. Dr. Bereliani was professional and thorough, and he made the process smooth and comfortable for my mom. I would also like to give a special thank you to the office manager, Ruby, who truly went above and beyond. My mother needed an X-ray to complete the paperwork, and Ruby personally contacted the insurance company to help get it covered. That saved us a significant amount of money, and we are very grateful for her effort and care. We chose this office because of their reasonable pricing, and we are so glad we did. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate and professional care. Serge

Former patient leaving a frustrating review…read more I quite liked Dr Barkodar for the 1.5 years she was my primary care physician. She's really great and the staff is super polite and crazy clean office. If she were in any other practice, she'd have 5 stars and still be my PCP. Sadly, I had a very poor experience with the Managing partners billing practices to the level where it caused me to question whether they prioritize patient health and safety over a chance to bill more $ and is the sole reason I left the practice. Specifically, I rely on regular monthly medications and for some reason the RX rarely if ever comes with refills. Which by 2022 standards should be fine, the pharmacy usually digitally or by phone requests a refill as soon as I'm out and the next time I need one *poof* I have a refill waiting for me. Curiously in April of 2022, the managing partner Dr. Ali (whom I've never seen) charged my insurance $150 for an office visit on a day I was never there. When I called to inquire, and after 2 weeks of getting the run-around from the office manager Michael, I was finally told that they now code refills as office visits - but they've agreed to waive the deductible and zero out my balance as a "one time courtesy", but going forward the policy was to charge $150 office visit for any and all refills. Given its a monthly medicine and they don't make a habit of writing scrips with refills for some reason - seems like a billing practice to syphon an additional $1800/year which is such a shameless money grab it made me lose faith in the healthcare I'd be provided. In the future I would question any recommended test, check-up, procedure or lab work not knowing if it was medically necessary or just another opportunity to bill my insurance provider. Their billing practices may be within the bounds of the acceptability for the insurance provider, but is enough to make me lose faith in the office culture of prioritizing patient health over billing opportunities. Bummer.

Misty....Id love to know what you think...I hope life has brought you all the treasures you deserve…read more:) *** Sitting in the hospital bed, the business card trembled between my fingers. Dr. C. Andrew Schroeder. I turned the card over, expecting something on the blank side. Nothing. A simple card, a classy card. Old fashioned like a family doctor in a small town. I flipped open my scratched up grey Motorola cell phone, cupping my mouth in case anyone was listening (at this point I didn't trust anyone inside the hospital). Ring ring ring. "Doctor's office." A pleasant voice. A reassuring voice. "I'd like to make an appointment with...Dr. Schroeder." "Are you a new patient?" The pleasant voice on the other side of the line didn't recognize me. "Um, yes..." I wasn't sure how to introduce myself. The sounds of footsteps down the hospital corridor made me jumpy. I didn't want anyone knowing what I was doing. "How about...October 17th at 11am. Does that work for you?" October 17th?? I'll be dead by then. "Today, it has to be today." A pause. The pleasant voice was a little confused. "Today? Does he know you're calling?" Kinda of, sort of...no. "It's important. Really really important. I'm kind of in a bad situation and it's urgent. He knows it's bad." "Okay...um..." I could feel her compassion seeping through the phone wires. She clicked a few things. "I can squeeze you in for a few minutes at 3pm. Would that work for you?" I looked at the clock, it was 9:35am. That was plenty of time to get out of the hospital and get to the office. "Yes, it's perfect, I'll take it, thank you." "And your name?" "Tara Kittle." "I'll see you this afternoon Tara." Click. I dropped the phone into my lap, and reached for the nurse call button next to my hospital bed. Click Click Click. The familiar slightly annoying and mechanical voice crackled my room. "How can I help you." I was long past tired of them as they were of me. "I'm leaving. Now. I don't know what it is that you need to do, but I'm leaving the hospital today." "Excuse me?" I sat up a little stronger. "I'm leaving today. I have a doctor's appointment. I have to leave today." "Let me get your nurse for you." Click. I swung my legs over the edge of the bed. The room tilted, barely had the strength to sit up, let alone stand. I prayed for the strength I didn't have. And with that, I stood up, shaking in my hospital robe. I picked up my phone like a sword. "Mark, I need you come get me." It was time to leave Cedars-Sinai.

"Dr. Pouya Shafipour and his staff are bright, smart, polite, and always great. Mostly they are human, present when you talk to them, they aren't like this survey. They have a heart - that this survey does not. Over the years that I have seen them - they light up and we share a brief moment a connection - sure we get down to the business of medical care and things may move fast - but they keep their eyes on the details - while still being decent and maintaining humanity and compassion.
