DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! I repeat... DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! I'll start off by saying the owner of this company is in his own world. I spoke with him and shortly after I called him back and he couldn't remember who I was. Like, really?! So we used this company twice... unfortunately. The first time they moved our furniture into storage because the home we were moving into was not ready yet. Then we used them to move the furniture from storage to the new house. Not only did they DAMAGE multiple pieces of furniture. They damaged my flooring and walls in the process. Understandably sometimes a few scuffs get on the walls that's easily removable with a magic eraser. But, scratching and taking paint off the walls to the point where it needs spackling and a new coat of paint is ridiculous. Scratching my floors in numerous places because they "forgot" to put a blanket down is absurd. I noticed the movers seemed to have been rushing. Not my problem, don't rush while carrying heavy furniture because now you've damaged a home that no one has ever lived in before. Oh, did I mention they FORGOT a piece of furniture in my storage unit??!! Yeah... that happened. So I called the owner when all these discoveries were made and said he'd have someone he knows take a look at the flooring to repair it etc. he also offered me $40 for my troubles. Seriously???...... ok, no biggie. We sent him pics last week and have yet to hear back from him. Within the last few days upon cleaning and situating our belongings we noticed numerous damaged pieces of furniture. I've called him in regards to the furniture being DAMAGED & have yet to hear back. OH, and they didn't bring tools to put furniture back together that they originally took apart to move it. REALLY??? REALLY??!! I'm infuriated. To the point where I'm contemplating reporting this business to the BBB. My advice to you is I'd pay a little more for a reputable moving company. We needed a bunch of things cleaned out of our basement and we found Dr. Clutter. The owner Scott returned our call within minutes of us leaving a voice message and he was very professional and easy to work with. His crew came out and did a very nice job. Fair pricing and no issues whatsoever. A week later my parents needed some things removed from their garage and Scott quoted a fair price and they took care of everything. It was also nice to see the photos of the staff and owner on the website, and also the fact they have a nice business logo and attire means a lot in this business. Dr. Clutter gave me -excellent- moving help with insanely short notice on my end. I was impressed with the professionalism and service mentality of their main office. Their can-do attitude, right there helping me to solve a challenging time frame, was refreshing and supportive. Checking in by phone and text until the move was accomplished. Then the main mover was simply top notch. Kind, patient, taking excellent care of what needed to be moved. Reassuring and thorough, "U.V." demonstrated he cared about the move AND the people. This company did not follow the schedule that was set forth in the plan. The employees did not all show up. One was stoned. There were to be four men on Saturday for packing. And four on Sunday with a large truck for moving. Full service packing and unpacking was contracted. Friday night the owner called and asked to change the plan. He requested to send five men and a large truck and assured me this would save both time and money. I had to ask the seller of the Home to have the house ready a day early, and he agreed to get extra help to complete the home a day early. Well.....only two men showed up Saturday to pack and one started complaining and whining a few hours into the job. Every so often the owner would text me to say that the other three guys were on their way. Eventually the became clear that after six hours the others were not going to show up. And the two men on the job were both too tired to complete a pack and a move and unload unpack in one day. Additionally one man informed me that he felt it would be physically impossible for them to do good work if they pushed through and tried to work for 13-14 hours nonstop. So that ended the one day move. I had to tell the owner to send these men home for the day and to go back to the original plan and send four men Sunday to finish the packing and also do the moving and unpacking. Sunday the same two men came with a small truck and told me they had to make two trips. They finished packing but boxes were not properly labeled nor professionally packed. Extra supplies were charged to me but then went unused while the movers simply Saran wrapped old boxes without lids. A lamp got broken. My cherry wood corner fireplace got chipped. Part of the hardware for a hanging wall mirror got left in the wall while the mover complained that his Allen keys were missing and he can't take the part down without Allen keys. We had to make two trips. The final trip lasted until nearly 10:30 pm and much of my things were left outside in the screen porch. No pictures were rehung nor were the mirrors. Nothing was unpacked no had to pay for a man to come back and unpack yet a third day and I had to cancel plans to clean my old house because of this. And yet the job remains unfinished, unprofessionally done, and overpriced for what I got. I would warn people to stay away from this fly by night place with its inexperienced workers, unprofessional owner and inability to stick to a schedule or complete the job. Run. Run far away. Not sure how they got so many stars on yelp as I trusted that as a guideline. But they are not a four star company. They are a zero star company. Only one part of this job was ok. One worker named UV was courteous, organized and apologetic. I hope that a really GOOD company offers him a really GOOD job. He deserves better. Thank UPDATE: 4/25/2018: This man lies. It was hihats. Not drumsticks. I wasn't complimenting the workers during the moving. Only during the decluttering but then that was left incomplete. I called several times over the two day move to voice my concerns that things weren't going well. I didn't call for a 3rd job. I texted about a second job for junk removal for which he gave me a quote of $190. He did not decline. I did not have him do the job. Those texts Tom Place after he had tried to make things better after the horrible move, and i had upgraded my review. At that point i thought he was a person who tries to honestly right his wrongs. The review had been changed to 2 stars as agreed if he sent someone back to finish the work. Not 3 Stars. And when I had discovered that the hihats were missing, i trusted he would keep his word when on the phone he said he would send a check to replace them. I believed him. The hihats which cost $50 on eBay including shipping. When i complied with his requests for photos of my drum kit showing the original hihats, i complied and sent the eBay ad showing the $50 price. He was only going to send $35 and when i politely and rightfully requested the correct amount of $50, he rudely told me I'm tired of you. See you in court. The response bellow is full of lies. And I have ofdocumentation to prove I'm an honest person posting an honest review. You can write whatever you want. This is the worst moving experience I have ever had. First I was expecting them to arrive at 9 am. I was not able to reach the owner to confirm a start time. Typically I receive a call from the mover confirming start time the day before the move. Also the number I was provided did not get an answer. After multiple calls I finally sent an email to confirm. The finally call me back on a different number and proceed to insult me for expecting them to arrive at 9 am. Eventually the crew arrives at 11:15 and asks me for water. They didn't bring their own water? How unprofessional can a group be? Then they didn't wrap any of my possessions that I didn't' specifically say : wait, please wrap that because it .... ect. By this time they are stopped for lunch, which is fine but I wasn't told they are stopping for lunch so I was stuck waiting for them, unable to go and get lunch. I had to field several phone calls from a very irate boss who started yelling at me (yes the person who hired them) about how he had a bad experience with his last client canceling a check, and i am such a terrible person that he expected me to do so as well. I refused to answer the phone at this point because I was so tired of having the company I hired to move my stuff call and give me shit on the phone for wondering why they were arriving at 11 for a "morning" appointment. Also they though they were moving me to someplace else in Bethlehem, not Philadelphia. Yes, they didn't know this was an hour move. It seems they were very unprepared for the entire move from not having their own drinks to the lack of wrapping materials and not having the final address. It took them a long time to finalize the bill for me, and I had to write 3 different check for 3 different amounts. The lead mover was on the phone with the boss who had been yelling/harassing/insulting me all three times and apparently didn't give me the right calculations for the miles and fuel. I just wanted the day to be over. The amount was comparable to other moves I made so at least I didn't have to call the horrible boss and get that clarified. Also the price dropped by a few hundred but for the hassle, insults I had to endure, and general condescending treatment I received, it wasn't nearly enough. I put up a review of my experiences and received a text message from the boss hassling me for leaving a truthful, poor review. He texted my personal phone number in the condescending attitude he had on the phone and left a very insulting message regarding my character for having a poor experience. So clearly this is a business that does not respond well to criticism. Later received a taunting text message about the review being removed. Do not use. It would be a waste of you time to expect any respectful customer service from a company that insults and harasses people who have had a poor experience. Today, several months later, I recover another message insulting me for leaving a poor review. I felt inspired to recount in as much detail I remember every terrible moment. Hopefully this review will stay in place and I won't have to deal with any more taunting, insulting, and condescending attitude from this organization. Called these guys on a Friday around noon and they were able to get us two guys that same day to help us move two rooms of stuff. We were so impressed with those guys, UV and Quan that we asked for them again to move the rest of the house. They were great to work with. Very respectful. More than willing to do what needs to be done and they work great together. A real team. These guys were powerhouses with great attitudes. Great experience! Connected with them thru email and received a reply by the end of the day. They were prompt and actually 10 minutes early. They took a 25 inch TV, kitchen cabinet, recliner chair and 8 foot portable basketball hoop that was super heavy and a medium sized TV stand all for $120!!!! These guys work hard. Non stop. The estimate was as they said. They showed up and moved us within a day. Our furniture was wrapped well to avoid damage. Good pricing. Trustworthy. Phone skills can be improved. The first time I called, someone picked up the phone and said "yea". Not the answer you would expect for a business. The following was my original review; however, Scott saw this and reached out to me to apologize for my bad experience. He said that he would have tried to make things right if he had known about this. He then offered to compensate for the damages and extra time that the move had costed due to the lack of equipment and detour. I have to say that he was sincere in his intentions to provide the best customer service that he could. I therefore changed my rating of the company and would consider using them again if needed. "Two guys showed up one hour late to the move, ok, I understand. However, this was a move that consisted only of furniture and they only brought 5 blankets and two of them were sewed together with metal string which were intended for the truck floor! They told me that was because there was a huge move going on that took all the blankets?! What?!! I scheduled them because they provide "ALL EQUIPMENT" that was need for the move. They can't shortchange me just because they had another job?! They proceeded to wrapping the furniture with plastic wrap as if plastic was going to protect furniture from bents?! The wrapping took forever and lots of plastic.... They were paid by the hour.... Then they took the local for a 50 mile move, rather than the highway to save $6.5 on the toll, and costed me another 45 minutes, which was $75 to me. Between the wrapping furniture in plastic and not taking the high way, they took at least 1.5 hours longer than needed, which costed me $150 more because they were ill prepared and wanted to save a few bucks and costed me charged time! The guys were also tired and had a hard time with the move, and caused small dents to the furniture/wall, and was too impatient and caused a crack in a drawer when taking it out. Overall, very happy with the quality of the job -- The movers were very conscious and considerate of wrapping and protecting my furniture. Awful!!!!! First off they had us down for our move at 3 pm on Sunday when we had scheduled for 9 am weeks before. Ok no biggie, evryone gets mixed up! Secondly, we rushed home from out of town at 6 am bc we expected them there at 9 am when we finally confirmed, they called at 10 to 9 stating they were getting in truck and would be at the apt in 15 minutes, well almost 45 minutes later they show up!!! Sooo unprofessional! They pack evrything up quickly ok that's fine we appreciate it and impressed (however we had very few things needing to move) but as we get to the house to unload the things Scott informs me he spoke to his "boss" and they are minimum 3 hours on weekend (when he himself had informed me it would only be $12.50 in addition per hour) and as I had done research on company I noticed Scott himself is "the boss." Finally and reason why I'm writing this awful review is when they left (after we paid them double the amount) we noticed our whole bed has scratches and our master bedroom wood floors are scratched . Very disappointed!! It was upsetting as I had seen so many good reviews on this company , but I guess it pays to go for a known moving company that won't dupe you or ruin your things!! read more

Don't call anyone else to get rid of your junk - these guys are the best! I called a few places and compared prices (you have to compare based on size of the truck and what it costs to fill it). This company was by far the lowest price! And the service was top notch. Scott called me back the same day as I left the message and he scheduled me for the day I wanted. They did run into a job before mine that turned out to be much bigger than they had anticipated, so they called, apologized, and rescheduled me for two days later. They showed up on time, were very nice, efficient, and hard working. The left the place in broom clean condition and everything was gone when we checked back in later in the day. We were clearing out my parents' home, where they had lived for over 60 years until they both passed away - and the basement was filled with junk. I was grateful to have this monumental task handled so well, both physically and emotionally. I could not recommend them more highly. read more

I just had the best moving experience ever with Scott and Tio (I hope I spelled that correctly) from Dr. Clutter. I was told they would come to move me about 8:30-9:30am and I expressed interest for them to arrive earlier if possible (since I was moving from PA to DE). They listened to me and showed up between 8:00-8:15am. The movers were the nicest men I have ever met. They took great care with moving my belongings and they packed the moving truck so efficiently (bravo, these men are pros!). After a long trip to DE, again they unloaded my belongings with such care. They were always pleasant and gracious. They never complained our gave anything but 100% while moving me (there were a lot of heavy items and many stairs to climb up/down..I was exhausted just watching them). It was such a pleasure doing business with them and Dr.Clutter. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needed to move or just item removal. Boy do these guys hustle! We called them to move some furniture from Hazleton to the Poconos - they had everything out of the house in just over an hour. I'm not kidding - they were literally RUNNING up and down the stairs! And talk about strong - I watched one guy carry the china closet down the stairs.....by himself! Super fast, yet super meticulous when it came to packing the truck. Everything made it there without damage, VERY reasonably priced in relation to other movers in the area, and I couldn't recommend them more. In fact, we were SO impressed with them, we hired them to come back next weekend to finish cleaning out the house - because, in addition to being a moving company, they'll come and haul away your junk and leave the house "broom-swept" clean, all for only a couple of bucks more than what renting a dumpster and hauling it out yourself would have cost you. I used these guys recently. The workers were friendly, respectful and hard workers. However, the owner of the business is disorganized and not very good at managing thing. I did my best to give him an idea of the move and what I needed;even asked him to come and look at my storage unit so he would have an accurate idea but he didn't feel it was necessary. In the end he send me a small truck when he had promised 2 trucks which was insufficient for the contents of the storage unit. The poor guys had to make two trips that day and they were exhausted. Then I had to pay more for a 3rd trip the next day. I'm not complaining about price as I would have paid what he quoted to have the job done right. In the midst of the move, the owner accused me of misrepresenting the move job and blamed me for the whole mess. The workers are great guys. They are amazing and kept their cool even when I lost mine. Wonderful guys and I can't say enough about them but the owner is unprofessional. I had to call him 3 or 4 times just to get something in writing about my move and he still didn't send me a proper work order. It was a weird hand written note and then he got mad that the info about 2 trucks he had promised wasn't written on the note.When I asked him for a detailed work order prior to the move, he just kept saying stuff like, "Hey call and remind me to send it to you tomorrow." HUH? That should have been my clue. This might be the place to call for clutter cleaning but not for moving. He claims to know what he is doing with that but he doesn't. I hired Dr Clutter in two separate occasions, one for moving and another for junk removal. I tried to do some research before hiring them. At first, when reading reviews I was scared by reading one of the reviews from ONE of the people here, but then I decided to also pay attention to the other 8 great reviews here and on google. Needless to say, I decided to ignore the bad press and I am 100% happy I DID. Not only did I get great service, but I was extremely impressed by the professionalism these guys have. Moving can be tough, but Scott (owner)assure me and reassure me that he would take care of me and he came through. He showed up the next day to give me an estimate and 5 minutes into our conversation I hired them, he told me he was sending 4 guys for the move. Scott( main lead, not to be confused by the owner) called me the day of the move and told me he was on his way to give me the heads up. Both times, they were on time and ready to work. The junk removal took no more than 20 minutes and the move was a couple of hours long. Also, we estimated a 750.00 bill for the full move but it ended up being 550.00.. that is 200 dollars off and I did absolutely nothing, no other company can beat that price. I was very impress by the time they took to wrap my items in moving blankets to make sure everything was taken care of. Since then, I have not only recommended this company to others but I also decided to put up this review to show my appreciation for a great job.
