Contact imobile, they came out to the house, diagnosed the problem as an incorrect installation of the screen, and repaired overnight for $90. Was very impressed with Wan professional approach, not to mention the 6mo warranty on repairs(which is about triple what the competition is offering!!!!) It did not work well on the way home (bluetooth connection) and so I investigated further. It was unable to read my SIM card. I took it back to the repair shop and they denied any responsibility and stated it could not be fixed. This is the first time I have ever taken something in to be fixed somewhere and had it come back to me worse than it was before.

Took my Xbox Series X with no display to them to get looked at, they didn't even go into the…read moresystem, they opened the back but the motherboard screws were not even touched, the Sata cable I also needed reattached was still unattached, the disc drive power cable was unplugged when I brought it to them and it was still unplugged when I picked it up, in the same spot as I had it, they told me it didn't even start but I verified it did before I took it. If you need basic screen replacement, sure, they are probably fine, it's an easy enough job, but if you need actual diagnosis and repairs, I would avoid, very nice to deal with, friendly but not worth the three days it took for them to tell me less info than what I told them when I dropped it off.

Anyway, the phone still worked, but the screen didn't. I took it to our nearest Bell store and he suggested I try Cellicon kiosk in Market Mall, across from the old Apple store location. They seem to mostly sell cases and accessories, but there's a little sign that suggests they also do Cell Phone Repair. The guy wasn't very chatty, didn't try to sell me a case, but after looking over the damage he said it would be about $110 and take about 45 minutes. I was pleased with that estimate. Bell wanted $300 to replace/"upgrade" the phone so this was a deal. An hour later the phone was ready, the price was $115 with GST, and the phone works great. I was expecting to wait a few days for parts or something, but he had one screen left for the 5C. And it's really nice to have it working again. (I spent a week looking for the original receipt only to find out the 1 year warranty expired a month ago,) Now, I really need a case something like those giant bubble soccer balls.

After a few days in the midst of a power outage that lasted a few hours, I discovered I wasn't able to use a personal hotspot for my IPad. As seniors, we prefer to use iPad rather than our iPhones to pay bills or send and read email.i tried to contact Telus but could not speak to a person and kept getting the Same message. Basically, old phones don't have the capacity for PH. Newer ones did, I had an iphone 12. At no point was I told the essential package I signed up for did not have PH. Telus would not help me.
