My nails are out of control and often getting infected. I called NW FOOT and Ankle and told them I need to have regular nail cutting help and they stated they would take care of me. Come to find out, Dr. Chung, who was nice, just said to come back when my nails are infected and he'll do a small surgery to remove any offending nails which are turning in. I need monthly care by trained medical people to cut my nails, not just go to a nail salon, who have stated that I need medical professionals cutting all my turned in nails. I spent a huge amount of energy, travel and $40 copay to go to NW Foot and they didnt help me the way they said they would when I originally spoke with them. David S. Chung is probably great for nail bed surgery, but nothing more.

When I pointed out the pain was not on the plantar fascia, the ND gave me some run-around about "reference pain." I followed the instructions but ended up in a more evidence-based practice about a year later before I made any progress. Definitely changed the course of my life for the worse. Also, far over-invested in the zero-drop, "natural" running orthodoxy. That's a good approach for some people, but it's not a religion.

He basically went right to giving me a steroid shot and didn't do any evaluation at all. He also didn't listen to me at all and behaved in a very condescending manner. I have full mobility in the ankle and I'm not easy on it. I run or walk 3 miles a day, do a lot of biking and work hard on the treadmill. We do a lot of hiking on difficult trails and uneven surfaces. I am very pleased with Dr. Le. His care and concern for me was above and beyond. His communication on the surgery beforehand and post-op care was excellent. I would highly recommend Dr. Le for your podiatry needs.

I have a crooked hammertoe that is ripping off the toenail with every step. There is also an…read moreulcer on the end of the toe as well as one between the little toe and next to it on my left foot. I called NW Extremity in Nov. 2024 to request an appointment. I was told Jan. 8th then in Dec. 2024 I was told Jan. 22nd. I went to my appointment to be told it was really Jan 29th!! I went to the appointment on the 29th. Dr. Mah spent 2 minutes with me while I tried to explain the the toenail was causing pain. He said there was nothing wrong with my toenail but I needed surgery and ordered an x-ray. After x-ray he returned for maybe 5 minutes to tell me there was no infection but he needed an ultrasound to determine blood flow. And that he wanted to sever tendons in that toe to straighten it out. After the ultrasound I saw Dr. Mah again on the 19th of February. While waiting I observed other patients who had the same appointment time with Dr. Mah as I did. Again he spent no more than 5 minutes with me. Told me my toes were cold and I needed this medication. At that time he observed the ulcers and did nothing to help that situation. I asked if he was going to send a prescription to my pharmacy and he told me as he was walking away that it cost $50 and someone would call me. Not what the medication was for! I assumed it was for the ulcers. I asked his assistant about the medication and he told me someone was going to call me and if I said yes they would send it! Again not what the medication was. After 2 days I had not heard anymore about the medication. I tried to call the office but there is no option to speak to anyone. They did say that the Milwaukie office would be open until 4 PM. I went to the office and the front counter tried to tell me they were closed. I told them their phone message said other wise. Found out the name of the "cash only" pharmacy and the name of the medication which was basically herbs that was for blood flow and nothing to help the ulcers. Too many red flags to feel confident about him coming near me with a scalpel. I went to my primary care give to be told there was bone exposure and was promptly correctly treated. The ulcers may have been an allergic reaction to topical pain relivers I was using. I have been referred to an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in foot and ankle. Needless to say I would never recommend Dr. Mah or NW Extremity.

Only barely 3 figures. We never even received a bill or late notice. They have also sent an amount to collections for me (mid 2 figures, not a joke) for something I have no record of. We can pay and are not criminals because your billing practices are hopelessly disorganized. Untrustworthy and malicious in its practices. Petty in its operations. Avoid. I would sue them myself if not for the fact that unlike them I am mature enough not to care about such petty amounts. Let's all hope the desperation is a sign of imminent failure of their business.

From my first visit I have been very pleased with most of the interactions with staff and Doctors here. Specifically, Veronica the MA in the orthopedic clinic, Dr. Hwang and his PA Michael Cunningham as well as Heidi Tyson my rehab therapist are all excellent. My experience at the surgical center was also as smooth as I could have possibly imagined. The staff, nurses, and anesthesia team were great. I never felt like I was in a scary hospital setting, and people paid attention and checked in on me often. As a fellow healthcare professional I know how to run a business and care for patients without my office feeling like a people mill. This is not like other large clinics or hospitals I have been to. It feels more personal and more like a family practice.
