Color Correction King! Dr. Blonde is a lifesaver! I came in with a complete hair disaster--patchy, uneven tri-color situation and what I thought was beyond repair. But he worked absolute magic. His skill with color correction is on another level. He took what I thought was impossible and turned it into the most beautiful looking blonde I've ever had. I asked him to leave some of my natural dark hair in the lower back for layered dimension and he did just that. I absolutely love it! He's not only incredibly talented, but also professional, patient, and honest about the process. He explained everything, made sure I was comfortable, and didn't rush a single step. You can tell he truly cares about the integrity of your hair and the final result. If you're struggling with a color gone wrong or want to trust your hair with someone who gets it, go see Dr. Blonde. He exceeded every expectation. I left the salon feeling confident, beautiful, and like myself again. I cant say thank you enough. Client for life! read more

I just moved here and I only spent 20 minutes searching for a nearby blonde specialist, and should have looked closer to the details. I stumbled upon Raul through yelp and found good reviews for color correction and return clients. Perfect. So I call and schedule an appointment. My appointments were months ago and I'm finally ready to write this review. I don't even know where to start. My appointment time was scheduled at 2 and he arrived 20 minutes late because he was waiting for an uber. That's fine I understand not everyone has a vehicle and people depend on public transportation or ride share services. While waiting in the lobby of the salon my gut was telling me something was up so I was asking the front desk receptionist about him and his quality of work. All great things were said so I was feeling reassured. He arrives and is super apologetic for being late. I let him know I understand no worries. That wasn't a big deal for me. We get back to the chair and the station that he rents out. It's located in the back and there is very awful lighting, no authentic window/day light; that threw me off. At his station, I was expecting him to have everything all there. But I realized when he walked in he was carrying 3 large bags. All of his supplies were in his bags. It took him a minute to get all set up and pull everything out from his bags. Before the appointment we talked about my current color and what I wanted, I sent him pictures of both my current color and my inspiration pictures, platinum blonde or at least get me as blonde as we can without killing my hair. When he asked what we're doing today we made a plan that I'd like to have a shadow root with a full highlight so when my blonde grows out I won't have harsh lines from new growth, he said yes. With the bleach - he did great - he was checking me every 10-20 mins while I was processing making sure my hair wasn't stretchy and breaking. I loved that. After rinsing out the bleach and washing my hair, he began brushing out my hair. It was soo tangled and he barely used any product to detangle it. Right away he started brushing and pulling out my hair in clumps. I understand that blonde causes breakage and I was expecting some but I mean CLUMPS my head was sore after he was done brushing it. I even helped with brushing in attempt to do it softly and prevent breakage. After drying he realized that certain parts didn't take the blonde to the level we wanted so he wanted me to come back for another around of bleach cause at this time it was almost 8pm. He told me to soak my hair in coconut oil to rehydrate it overnight. So do exactly that and I come back the next day. He's already there and prepped for the appointment which I loved. I appreciated that he was ready and willing to fix the color with another round of bleach to get it where we wanted it. This time the color was right and everything looked fine. Now I'm asking about a shadow root, he stated that he didn't have the supplies to do that and that it looks good like it is. Okay so now that we did all this blonde like a full all over highlight I'm gong to be stuck with harsh roots and some of the highlights are reminding me of Cristina Aguilera back in the early 2000's. Not really my goal. But it is what it is. And I'll live for it for a while just to let my hair recover from this. I got home and did more research about him. I looked at his lower starred reviews and found what I was looking for- the same inconsistencies that I experienced. I found his website. All photos were super old and looked like his website hasn't been updated in a LONG time. Red flag for me I guess. I'm writing this review because he lacked communication, wasn't prepared and seemed like he was all over the place. The 10 hours I spent with him, I never felt relaxed like I expected to feel with previous stylists I have had. I don't know. Honestly he did fine with the blonde and got me to the color I wanted but overall with the salon being outdated/dark, his lack of communication/preparedness and poor bed side manner is why I will not go back to see him unfortunately. I wish the lady at the front desk told me to run. read more

I needed a makeover of my color, texture and style. I did a thorough search and found Raul. We talked and he answered my questions before making the appointment. When I met with Raul and we discussed possible lowlights with a friend over the phone. He was patient and attentive to my needs as a professional business woman. He listened and worked with us. He did a phenomenal job with the color and the cut. I showed it to friends and got lots of compliments. Raul is a magician when it comes to hair color and style. I highly recommend him. read more

Just moved to Vegas and had an Amazing experience with Raul! I have always been a blonde, but decided to go brunette about 6 months ago...decided I missed my Blonde and found Raul on Yelp ! He was fully booked since he was taking a Euro trip but managed to fit me in because he had a cancellation before he left! Talk about accommodating :) Raul was extremely caring about my hair and it's condition, unlike many stylists I have had in the past... I am SO happy to be back to blonde, and will definitely be visiting Raul again in the near future for some true Blonde "Doctoring" ;) He is definitely an artist and knows what he's doing. He took my brassy brunette-do and transformed it to a beautiful natural blonde- if you're looking for a talented stylist, look no further! read more

Dr Blonde - Loving my new blonde! Thanks Raul :) - Hair Extensions Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

Raul is awesome!! Super fun and friendly and does Amazing work on blonde hair! I had stripes from my prior colorist not being uniform on application and processing time and she could never quite get the right color. I also had a lot of damage from trying to get it right. Raul was able to get my dark roots to a light pale blonde on the first try and blend in my stripes without causing additional damage. I can't wait to continue achieving the perfect light color on new growth with Raul's help and finally be able to grow out my beautiful blonde hair!! read more

Raoul is much like any artist, a touch eccentric, but he knows exactly what he's doing. I started going to him on the recommendation of a girlfriend whose hair always looks fantastic. He has nursed my hair back to health and I was able to start wearing extensions again without further damage. The salon itself is clean, nice, and offers multiple services. I highly recommend both the salon itself and the services of Dr. Blonde. read more

So happy I found Raul! He gave me exactly what I was searching for! DO NOT GO TO RAUL AKA DR BLONDE AT ENVOGUE SALON! HE BURNT MY SCALP WITH BLEACH! I understand people make mistakes, but when you make mistakes you should own up and apologize in a professional manner. I advised Raul that my scalp was burnt, he said I have a sensitive scalp and I should put tea tree oil on it and it was not a big deal. Attached is a picture of the biggest sore and his response when I rated his service on squareup stating I was not happy and at the very least I would have expected an apology and at the very most a full refund. read more

I have found the creme de la creme of a educated blonde hair stylist . Doctor Blonde aka Raul. He understands his clients and is a wonderful stylist that's not afraid to try new things and take what you want to the next level. My favorite part about him -- he's a perfectionist. I live in vegas where being blonde is somewhat of a trend. I however wasn't looking to be the typical platinum blonde you see everyday. I was shooting for ash and beige. And he nailed it our first appointment. All I can say is if your looking for a specific blonde, highlights or lowlights and whatever color of your choice Raul is your man. I'm a client for life. Ok - I cannot say enough amazing things about Raul. Just yesterday, I had a slight mishap at another salon and my normally platinum/white blonde hair turned out silver/grey. I was really sad and upset and decided to email Raul and see if he could get me in sometime in the next week and fix it. Even though it was 7:30 in the evening, he emailed me back in 8 minutes! He explained exactly why I had this issue, and assured that he could remedy the situation, and offered me an appointment at 10 am this morning. I arrived this morning, and I will admit, I was very scared that my hair might not be able to be taken back to the color that I wanted, or even worse, that it would come out looking worse. But I just went in with faith because of all the incredible reviews on here. MY HAIR LOOKS INCREDIBLE. He knew exactly what to do, he fixed it, and not only did he fix it, he made it look absolutely drop dead gorgeous. I have never been so happy with my blonde hair. Even though my hair has now been treated twice in two days, he managed to leave it shiny, silky smooth and feeling healthier than it has in months. I was blown away by how prompt he answered me, the fact that he got me in at 10 am the very next morning, and by how my hair looks. I am convinced that he is some kind of hair God, seriously, he worked MAGIC on me. He truly is Doctor Blonde. He has gained a loyal, lifelong client with what he did for me this morning. Thank you Raul!!! read more

Raul was awesome! Really cares about your hair, very thoughtful and respectful of what you want and are concerned about! He was such an answer to prayer! As a natural brunette with vey dark hair, I have wanted to be blond most of my life. Whenever I approached a hair professional with that request, though, one of two things happened: Either I went home with brassy or "fried" hair, or I went home with a mild highlight job that barely changed the color of my hair. (In the latter case, I was told that I would need 3-4 visits to truly achieve a blond shade.) So anyway, this time around I did some research and found Raul in an online search. He told me he could give me what I wanted -- just that it would take all day and be a bit pricey. True to his word, he blocked out his entire day for me, and then spent 8 hours painstakingly doing foil highlights small enough to result in a gorgeous, natural-looking blond. There is no brassiness or matte look to Raul's work. Because of his foil process throughout my hair, there are different shades of blond, plus a bit of my original brown to add a realistic touch. And best of all, my hair is still healthy and soft! His knowledge of the bleaching process allows him to keep the hair from becoming stripped. If you have naturally dark hair and want to go blond, I highly recommend Raul. I was -- and still am -- very happy with his work! read more

I could write a whole book on how wonderful Raul is when it comes to cutting and coloring hair. I began modeling a few years ago and I knew I needed to maintain a great haircut and professional style. I was going to a different stylist every time and was constantly let down. I will never forget the moment I met Raul for the first time and the first thing he said to me was "Boo, what on earth is the matter with your hair? You need to let me fix it." Raul took great time to make sure he cut my hair 100% perfect! When He colors my hair blonde he makes sure he gets it as light as possible withought damaging my hair. He truly knows what he is doing and is a master at it. I have never met a professional stylist like him. I have recommended him to numerous friends and family. Raul is the only stylist I will go to now, and when I strike it rich I plan on him being my own personal hair stylist LOL! :) Bottom line is that Raul is the best you will find! -Brady read more

I love Raul! He always does an amazing job and never fails to satisfy. A true perfectionist, and that is very necessary in my opinion for a hairstylist. It's always hard for me to get my hair as blonde as I like because I naturally have straight, dark Asian hair. I've been to other hairstylist and they always embellish at the end to give me the illusion that they did a good job, but I'm always left with a brassy orange tried - but failed look. Dr. Blonde not only fixed my previous hair but he maintains it very well every time. He is a true pleasure and provides a wonderfully refreshing experience. Hi I feel like too often we write reviews when we have a terrible experience, well that's not the case this time. I have been blonde my whole life and have added dark peekaboos etc over the years as trends change. Most recently, I had extensions and wanted to have an ombré look, with a darker root, melting into bright platinum blonde. My root ended up being far too dark and there was a brassy band that went around my head. I hated it and tried to have fixed by a couple of stylists, but nobody could tackle it and I always ended up leaving dissatisfied. I decided to google best blonde colorist in Las Vegas and I stumbled upon Raul. I went to him and of course I was nervous and not expecting to get the immediate result I wanted, but to my surprise he took his time and did not compromise my hair and got me to the perfect blonde. I am typically very very picky and I am my own worse critic but when he finished, I was 100 percent pleased. I have truly found the Dr for my blonde and will never look for another. If u are a picky blonde and are in search of the perfect colorist, I recommend Raul. read more

So my first experience with him was a 5 star! He totally fixed my hair and it was pretty. But my second experience was not ok. I wasn't going to even bother writing a review about it but I am tired of my hair being fried! So 1st, he starts your hair from the bottom right of your head no works his way around. I told him multiple times that the foils in that section are ready, that they have been on for a long time. He didn't listen so now I have a whole foil piece that fell off . Pictures are attached. 2nd I told him my top layers were already dry and to void putting bleach on them, only the roots. Now my whole top layer of my head is fried. Pictures attached. 3rd, he didn't leave the bleach on long enough so that you can't see my growth, for the money you spend you should walk out within noticing your hair growth from the previous time. So I told him about these issues , so he has me come in to retouch up my roots . He only did where I part my hair. So when I where it half up , or I braid it you can see the growth. I can't even brush through the top part of my hair until I blow dry it , it feels stringy. Which is wasn't before this. Yes it was dry but it was never fried. So after that I just gave up . I seen him twice and he didn't fix the issue. Yes he is a cool guy and I did enjoy my first experience, but now my hair is just not the same . Personally he should be alert every time you go in, not just the first time to get your business. read more

I am SO HAPPY I found Raul. My hair length is halfway down my back after growing it out for two years. I went to a different salon for highlights and a haircut and unfortunately all my hard work went to waste because they messed it up so bad! And then I found Raul! He gave me the most beautiful highlights and lowlights I could have asked for. He knew exactly what I was looking for! And to fix my horrid haircut he suggested some extensions to blend the cut I had. I was so nervous because I've had nothing but bad luck with my hair for 3 months. When he was done, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. My hair color is blended perfectly, and you can't even tell I have extensions! My hair looks so full and beautiful! Go see Raul!!
