I received a call from the front desk today 4/8/2026 after I left my office visit regarding an additional charge for my consult I had paid $120 because I chose to visit their office while my new insurance kicks in, and the way it was handled was completely unprofessional. Instead of clearly explaining the reason for the extra $80 cost, the staff member came across as demanding and dismissive--as if I was supposed to already know their internal policies. At no point during my visit was I informed that discussing my symptoms could turn the appointment into a higher-cost consult. What made matters worse was the tone of the conversation. It felt like I was being blamed for the appointment running longer, which is unfair. Patients rely on medical staff to guide the visit appropriately--it's not our responsibility to manage time or determine billing classifications. There also seems to be a lack of internal communication and organization. If expectations, pricing, and visit structure were clearly communicated upfront, situations like this could easily be avoided. I asked to speak to the office manager because, yes, I had every right to be upset. Instead of taking accountability , apologizing, I was met with defensiveness--and then banned. Banned for speaking up after being treated poorly, advocating for myself. That tells you everything you need to know about how this office handles concerns. There is a serious lack of communication, organization, and basic respect here. If expectations and pricing were explained upfront like they should be, none of this would have happened.

I would give this review 5 stars BUT I do think the receptionist's need to work on their customer service. I walked in and one of the girls just looked at me and told me "whats up. Not even how can I help you or anything. In her defense, I think she was new. I even heard one of them talking bad about the person on the phone while she had her on hold. Kind of unprofessional. The girl who did help me was very nice but some of the other ladies need some training.

The front desk staff were welcoming and efficient, and even with an online check-in process, they still made everything feel personal. I was third in line and was quickly brought back for vitals. There was a medical assistant in training, and honestly, watching that interaction made me respect this place even more. You could tell she was nervous and learning, but she was incredibly kind, thorough, and professional. Had the joy of getting my very first Gout flair up on my right ankle…read more I couldn't put any weight on it and so I wasn't able to drive there. Took a Uber there There were 2 other parties ahead of me. Filled out all the forms and made my payment. I waited about 40 minutes until I was called in and placed into an Exam room. Waited about another 23 minutes in the exam room for the physician to see me. She was very nice and confirmed that I was having a Gout flair up - swelling and heat. Prescribed some meds for me (sent directly to my pharmacy). Gave me some diet recommendations and told me to set up an appointment with me PCP. Overall, not a horrible experience, I was expecting to wait a lot longer. The care I received was great and I the medication did allow me to start walking again and the swelling went down.
