I can't say for other staff since I've only dealt with four or five people that work there. They were honest and fair with their pricing. I definitely would call in to confirm any items before showing up but I have never had an issue with this establishment. I would rate all employees I have had an interaction with 5 stars. Never have I felt uncomfortable or cheated in any of their pricing. Out of other pawn shop in Albuquerque or the surrounding area, this place I would say has quality but also quantity for sure. You don't feel as if the items or the actual store is dingy. Great selection in jewelry and designer goods also fire arms there are plenty to choose from. There can be a bit of a wait at times since this is what I consider one of the nicer pawn shops here in Albuquerque so obviously they are going to attract business. If waiting is an issue I would call ahead to see what the wait is like. But it can honestly change in a minute from slow to completely packed, I would take that into consideration.

Please don't give up or fault the owners/location for not responding to email (I believe emails may get filtered in transit)! They DO want to work with you! Nearly immediately, I got a text back and we were able to make a deal within the same day. I inquired about the ring on Friday afternoon and had my perfect ring Monday morning. Outstanding to work with! Thank you so much, Kristen and Jay! New faithful customer, Maria ~

I liked his teaching style. He encouraged us to get a feel for the clay and to not be afraid to struggle at first. I had been wanting to take a class for many years and it appears I've made the right choice by starting my journey at New Mexico Clay! If there's any change I'll update (for better or worse). At this point I highly recommend them! Update: I've got 3 classes under my belt. The instructor, Dan takes time to work with each person based on the student's individual needs and he takes requests. I asked for basic instructions for working with slabs of clay. He took the time to give a demo and had me participate. Now I'm off and running! I was able to build the beginnings of 2 mugs during open studio time. Can I give 6 stars!? Thus far the class at NM Clay has exceeded my expectations.

I was disappointed on neither front. A band had just finished up a set on the small stage when we arrived. We grabbed a couple barstools, and as the band packed up some of their fans cleared out, leaving the place nearly empty for awhile. Then another wave of patrons came in, filling up the room once again. The bartender was friendly and helpful, sharing the brewing company's story and highlighting some special beers. We shared several, and Odin's Eye--that rye-juniper ale--was my favorite. Rented Tux is a smooth vanilla porter, and Father O'Malley's Holy Water, an Irish dry stout, was tasty as well. The art gallery was locked up when we checked, but the bartender opened it up and assured us we could stay as long as we wanted. What a treat!
