Let me first acknowledge that I hadn't been to the dentist in over 25 years. So of course I was…read moreautomatically expecting the worst. I got there and was a little nervous but was kind of calmed by the beautiful River views. it is a little confusing when you first get there to find parking and then figure out that you have to go up the stairs to get to the dentist. I might have just been confused because it was early morning, and early morning me is easy to confuse. I arrived early for my appointment and was seen earlier than my appointment was scheduled to start, which was really nice. I feel like every appointment I've ever had never starts on time so it was a nice surprise. The hygentist was sweet and joked with me which made me feel at ease. When the dentist came in the actual exam went quick. I was surprised to learn that I did have to make two separate appointments for my next procedures that needed to be done. Which were just a cleaning and to fix a fractured tooth. But everyone was really nice and made me feel at ease after the horror I anticipated from not going to the dentist for 25 years. I do have to add that I didn't have any cavities and I'm really proud of myself for that. Haha I mean it's a dentist. It's hard to give them five stars cause it's not a pleasant experience to begin with. But everyone was nice, no one judged and everything went smoothly. I feel like that's all you can really ask for when it comes to Dr/dentist appointments.

I liked the dental hygienist and dentist (and nice river views), but several bad experiences with…read morethe front desk staff caused me to seek another dentist. I called to set up a cleaning and check up as a new patient and did not find out until I was at the office that they don't do cleaning on the first visit. I stopped by the office weeks prior to fill out paperwork to have my dental records released from my previous dentist, yet they didn't have it during my visit and were trying to call the other office while I was there (closed due to East Coast time difference). My biggest annoyance was getting the runaround when I had a discrepancy with a bill. Before I got a cavity filled, I signed off on the amount due and paid it on my way out. I get a bill saying a owe more, call the office about it and the receptionist said she would have someone call me back. No call back. So I visit in person a few weeks later, where the receptionist agreed about the discrepancy and told me the finance person would call me. No call. It took a third attempt (and telling them to put me on hold because I didn't want to wait for a call back) to finally get the discrepancy settled.

TWICE! I live one hour away. My first appointment (which I had made two months in advance), I…read morearrived only to be informed that Dr. Heppler was not in that day after all (and only a teeth cleaning would be taking place). WITH NO PREVIOUS NOTIFICATION. One year later, I scheduled another appointment (one month out). I phoned the office en route to ensure that the dentist would be in that day and was very rudely informed that Dr. Heppler would not be able to see me that day because Dr. Heppler had made a doctor appointment of his own during my scheduled appointment time. The receptionist snapped at me and accused me of lying because I informed her that I never received a phone call (she literally yelled that she had personally made the call herself). She then proceeded to tell me to find a new location if I had a problem with their scheduling techniques. Well, I do. I have a problem with your scheduling techniques, your rude receptionists, your delinquent dentist never being there, and most of all, your severe lack of customer service.

Dear Brianne You have my sympathy!! I want to share my horrible story at this dentist office…read more Its been a couple years ago, but I will never forget that horrible day at "family dentist" even the names a joke! I had a head cold that day so decided to reschedule. I was going down those horrible slippery stairs, where the rain and wind blow so hard and there were no grab bars or anything ADA related. The dentist was following us out and talking to the girls as my right foot slipped and went straight up. I couldn't stop myself and fell two fights of stairs. I landed on the bottom concrete area by my car. I was so disoriented, I sat for a minute trying to get my barrings and collect my purse. The young girl I had with me asked the dentist (I don't remember his name) if she could use the phone in his office to call 911. He actually told her no!!, and said she's ok, then turned around and went back inside. He never came to help me up! I crawled to my car 6 feet away climbed inside and drove myself to then Ilwaco ER. I remember driving 20 miles an hour across the bridge, I was so distraught and a little in shock. By the time I got to Ilwaco my right knee was frozen and I waved to a doctor to get me a wheel chair. If I had a cell phone back then I should have called 911 myself but I was so shaken up I couldn't think what to do anyway. I called the doctor a couple days later to talk to him about it. He wouldn't talk to me and the receptionist sounded scared to talk to me. I still cringe when I drive past that gloomy dark office. BAD DENTIST!!
