The car was booked to pick me up from my hotel in Warrensburg at noon, the destination - Lake George. I was quoted $30. On the 1st of May, not only was the car 20 minutes late, but he also had picked up another passenger who was already sitting in the car's back seat. I called the dispatcher and asked if she could send another car for me since the driver of this trip had essentially turned my pre-booked ride into a ride share, and I didn't have any luck with convincing her to send another car for me and my ride. So I pretty much had to get into the car (the car that I HAD BOOKED FOR MYSELF) with this sketchy driver and some other guy in the back seat who seemed really stressed as he unloaded to the driver about his homelessness, and I asked the driver if there was some way that my $30 fare would be discounted since my ride turned into a ride share without any prior notice or consent. The driver's response: "THIS IS PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION! THERE'S NO DISCOUNT!" Wait, what? Why are you raising your voice at me? And how is this public transportation, I literally called Consolidate Taxi Services, a private company, to book this trip just yesterday? How exactly does that qualify as a "public transportation?" What is really going on here? I was so mad I just got quiet and played my soothing music in my headphones, zoning out as much as I possibly could so that my resting-bitch-face wouldn't be so glaringly obvious to everyone. Additionally, the driver had his cell phone in his lap and was texting with someone for the whole of the ride. While he was driving! I couldn't wait to get out of that vehicle, I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone! I would not suggest this company to anyone else. Call a different service, this one does not take their business serious at all. It's a joke.

This morning, Waterfront sent me an email telling me the cruise was "cancelled." They also claimed to have tried contacting me via email and phone. Both claims from Waterfront are lies. We went out on the Adirondack and the boat was large enough for all the patrons on board but by far it seemed that the best seats on board were on the upper level. The lower levels were challenging to see the fireworks because most of the windows didn't open and the best option for seeing was to go outside to the staircase. Even there the roof overhead made for difficult viewing. There are other options in the area for viewing fireworks by boat and we would most likely try a different boat- either with this company or another in the same area. All of the staff were friendly and made getting on and off rather easy.
