The members were somewhat off-putting. The reception dinner had free wine / and beer outside. You had to pay for wine and cocktails in the hall. Not all that unusual from my experience. However you also had to pay for soda? I had heard that there was a charge for water, not sure on this. The food was ok for buffet food. Beef and overcooked chicken selection, pasta with a watery alfredo sauce. the scalloped potatoes were delicious. You had to request coffee with cake. Service was slowish and very inconsistent. One of our groups kids disappeared and we were looking for her. Again not all that unusual, (lol). This place does have a few more halls than your average reception hall. I ventured over to the "Member's only" section. I was given grief for coming over there until they heard the that a little girl was missing. They did not offer any help however? I did see a family sitting in different sections of the members only group. Adults and kids. They were essentially sneering at each other. I thought this was very odd. We found Libby and all was well. At the end of the reception with no regular supply of free non-alcoholic drinks, surprise there was an argument about the ownership of some golf carts left in front of the building with the keys in them. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise. This could have been avoided by the staff by putting the damn things away after dark, or how about taking the keys out of the ignition? I sure hope I am not invited to another wedding at this venue by close friends.

We bought several baskets of balls, and also spent money at the Restaurant/Bar. We were having a grand old time, and all of a sudden, the guy from the pro-shop comes out and yells at my kid on the putting green. He says that he was taking too much of a back swing, and making contact with the green with his putter. This beratement of my son made my son hate the game of golf. He feels that he has been banned from the course. I have no problem with an authority figure instructing us as to the proper way to treat the course, but to yell at my son from 50 yards away was not the proper way to solve the problem. The guy could have simply come over to us instead of making a scene, and making my son feel really bad about himself. I vow not to return to this course.

Plenty of helpful golf advice and lots of Golf stories too. I enjoy this course a lot, not the best condition, but good for Middle to High Handicappers. So unless you need a super tough course, this one will challenge you. The only thing stopping me from calling this my home course is distance, it is 25 miles from my front door. So I will not be going there weekly. But will play here several times a year. Price is good, for me the course is good, if you hit straight and low handicap, this may be good for you. I recommend this golf course out to see how your skills are.

I have driven pass Centerfield everyday this week and decided to finally drop in for a game of put…read moreput or what others call miniature golf. I personally have never played and was interested in the place and the game. Let me start off my saying, I waited till the evening to go because I didn't want to be extremely uncomfortable by the heat. They do not take credit/debit cards, either cash or checks. An ATM is available if needed. Put put was o my $6.00 per person for a 18 hole game. They provide A small golf club and ball. There's 2 different games you can play, the easy one and the more difficult one. We went with the more difficult one which is called the Road (I think). I enjoyed myself regardless of the scenery. The greens are coming up, the water in the ponds are filthy dirty. The waterfalls aren't running and the lights are broken. You would think that would turn me away but I didn't see most of this till half way in our game. Besides miniature golf, there's a batting cage, there's water boats, racecars and a game room. Didn't go into the game room so I can't say much about it. However I wouldn't get in the water boats. The area is pretty small and the water looked pretty nasty. I will try the race cars and definitely The batting cage for a little softball practice. The prices aren't high, good for a inexpensive or cheap date, great for the kids for a few hours of play. Not any other place close by like this so I guess it'll do. Three stars given for the location, the prices and the activities offered. If your stuck on appearance this ain't the place for you. They also have a concession stand but I'm a little skeptical on trying it because of the scenery. My mama always said you can't eat out of everybody's kitchen. At the end of the day I will go back and I will enjoy myself.
