Is it a cute theatre in a small town? Yes. Does it give you that retro vibe from days past where…read morepopcorn and a premier was a fit Friday night? Check. It's cozy with its three screen, tight hallway nostalgia surrounding a classic atmosphere. Growing up in this town, it was either this or the drive in. But unless ownership has changed, the movie selection was extremely biased. Don't expect to catch a good R-rated movie when it's run by young earth creationists. We could hardly expect the Harry Potter movies but thank "god" we were lucky. That's a personal opinion from me on why it's not a great spot. But if you want a family friendly movie with the kids and some popcorn, you're in the right spot. Cheers.

I love the National Theatre and I'm super proud we have it in Graham. It has an old school classic…read moremovie theater look and comfortable feel. I like that there are three screens these days, I remember when there was only one. The lobby is one of my favorite places on earth, when I'm in there I can always remember what it felt like to be a kid, standing in the concession line, the feeling of excitement and anticipation of seeing a new movie on a Friday or Saturday night. Which they've always seem to have the big releases right away. You can tell the people that run the theater really care about it. It's only improved over the years and I'm sure it will continue to do so. If there is any drawback, it's the same problem every other theater has, fellow movie goers being disrespectful by talking during the film, messing with their phones, letting their kids run around and things of that nature. I honestly have no idea how to remedy that tho, and I'm sure the folks at the National would if they could, but really, what can you do? People are gonna be people. Oh, and I also miss the "Two yanks in Trinidad" poster that use to hang just inside the staircase. I hope this theater is around forever.

I'd been thinking about dropping into this little shop for a while, but just never had the time set…read moreaside until today. Why did I wait so long?! Old, obsolete video game systems, DVDs, video game cartridges and discs, equipment repair... and skateboards? It's been so long since I've seen games for sale for the Atari 2600 that I had thought I had the only one left. Yet they have some on hand for sale. And it's staffed with guys who actually know of AND remember the hard corps, 'old school' systems that got us where video games are today. They have prices comparable to GameStop; not that it matters all that much since Cleburne's GameStop has ceased to carry GameBoy games, and will soon stop carrying and trading GameCube games, as well. They carry them for X-boxes, various Playstations, lots of Nintendo systems. Prices for used GameBoys seem to range from $20-60 depending on the rarity of the system wanted. And they take trade-ins on games, systems and movies. I'm definitely going to continue to spread the word about this place in order to keep a good little local 'mom and pop' operation running. :) ------------------------------ (update March 04, 2012) Purchased an old used Game Boy cartridge and a GameCube disc. Game Boy cart needed a little cleaning to get it to work with my GameCube Game Boy Player. Game works great! The GameCube game disc was scratchy and wouldn't play in my GameCube. Upon returning it to the store, the sales associate tossed it into the disc refinishing machine for free. The game works perfectly, now. :) ------------------------------ Games & Movies Traders has moved from next to Whataburger on West Henderson to it's new location next to the Cinema 6 on West Henderson in Cleburne, Texas. They also no longer sell movies so I guess it's just "Games," now. :)

Their greeting card selection is really cute. The friendly staff is always ready to help me find a book or offer a reading suggestion. If you haven't been in the past few years, B&N started a loyalty program in 2023 to make its prices more competitive. For free, you can earn "stamps" that result in discounts (currently $5 off for every 10 stamps earned), and for a reasonable yearly fee you can upgrade to be a Premium member and earn 10% off everything every day. As an avid reader with a family of readers, it is totally worth it, and (do the math!) usually cheaper than competitors (*always* cheaper when I'm reading more obscure stuff). If you enjoy earning free stamps, it is worth signing up for the B&N newsletter to keep an eye out for double/triple points days. They always have deals on bestsellers and daily BOGO 50% tables, so you have a new selection of deals to hunt through each time you visit.

Really poor business model. So now instead of getting the business of 4 people we will be ordering elsewhere. I hope the two rude employees see this. Thanks for staring us down creepily as we proceeded outside the store with DAGGERS coming out of your eyes.
