My 1000th review so why not review my favorite place Tucson. What's not to love about downtown Tucson! The food, the people, the environment--everything about it feels so special and absolutely wonderful. There's such a vibrant energy walking around, with great restaurants, friendly faces, and a unique charm that makes it a joy to visit every time.

Okay, you get a bunch of small minded bozos together to supposedly "rejuvenate" a dead Downtown, most of which has been tore to hell, then get a shit rag to proclaim how "great a job they are doing", this is what you get. High end condos and up end bistros, really helps a dead Downtown, now only yuppies will drive there. Complete and utter crap. They praise the politicians, and nothing is ever getting done. 15+ years & waiting for "Rio Nuevo" crap. They just tore down a historic old Greyhound bus depot, a historic old 4th ave underpass, and want to tear down more so they can build more streets for cars and parking lots and they call it "progress". It really is sad that no one cares for the actual fabric and history of a city. Brilliant planning a holes. Maybe in 30 years we'll get a Downtown but by then we'll all be dead.

This picture is beyond beautiful. #OneLove

This is a awesome town! Me and my boyfriend visited here for the first time over the weekend. It's a college town but the bars and food are great. I definitely recommend visiting downtown and enjoying the nightlife.

The flavors were so unique and absolutely delicious! Food was perfect-- blown away by the service. It started with us walking in to get happy hour at the bar, but there were no seats available at the bar. After waiting for about 3 minutes the hostess offered us a table stating that it was reserved but not for the next hour. When we sat down, we did not feel rushed at all --we got four glasses of wine on happy hour the calamari, spinach salad, the most amazing soup ever and beef cheek tacos. Holy crap-- all SO GOOD. The food came out super fast and all the staff worked incredibly well together, which was awesome to see. 5 stars, will be back. Bryan was our server- he was tits

Get your butts downtown once again. It's on the move making a statement about the resilience of the once decaying Tucson. It's just the beginning. Make way for the newly developing chic place to be proud of. The streets are finally close to being finished. The rails are up for the monorail. Come down for Downtown Saturdays once a month held event with music and vendors galore. We went to Reilly's Craft Pizza and enjoyed it so much. Was able to easily find free street parking and just walked around enjoying the sights and sounds of an new emerging Tucson. Took some pictures to share.

Looks like a giant donut!…read more This piece of public art is very simple, just an upright circle that lights up at night. It was was originally created for the Luminarias del Pueblo fundraising auction in April 2005. It is located in the median on West Alameda Street between El Presidio Park and the Tucson Museum of Art. I put in a location edit on Yelp back in Nov. 2022 since the location marker was incorrect. Hubby & I drove all over looking for it. Since then, it has been corrected. Be careful crossing the road to get to it! Desert O is a translucent ring that is 6 feet in diameter This object has a steel skeleton inside that can be seen both during the day and at night. It basically looks white and pretty unremarkable during the day. The ring displays a pattern of colored LED lights that circle slowly inside the sculpture. It is covered with frosted acrylic panels that make it glow brightly. This art is a solar-powered. There is one 'secret' touch-sensitive button that allows visitors to control the lighting. You have to find it from the hundreds of metal fasteners holding the sculpture together. It was nice to get out and take a look at this public art!

I was impressed by the number of restaurants and vendors here. This is really a first-class event…read more I thought there would be a couple breweries and a little wine, but there were several distributors there pouring. There was plenty of wine, beer, and a couple cocktails. It's easy to overdo it when you're sampling drinks, so be careful to keep track! A couple of the restaurants had run out of samples before we could get to them, but we still had plenty. They had great live music. Red Door Spa was there as well. My friend got a massage, and I got a five-minute manicure from the girls there. It was really fun. We enjoyed walking through the galleries a little as well. Overall, fun event. The ticket price is pretty high at $50, I wouldn't say you necessarily get your money's worth in small plates and tastings, but it's a fundraiser for the museum and a very nice event.

The Tucson Museum of Art is an incredible space and houses some great art collections in addition to fabulous events throughout the year. Getting to taste food from many of our favorite local restaurants and chatting with the chefs is one of my favorite parts of the evening. We enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. It is set up perfectly flat for an Italian restaurant…read moredate night. The tea lights on the table make a huge difference and there is a cute bar inside. The restaurant is located conveniently near Fox Theatre and the music hall. The food was fantastic. Great taste and presentation. They have many options for all types of eaters and preferences. They also have a large desert menu. We ordered four different dishes because we each got our own entree as well as shared an appetizer and desert. We came hungry and left with minimal entree leftovers. The servers were polite and helpful. I will say because of the type of restaurant and how busy it was, it was a little slower. But we think that is to be expected. Good Tucson find.

We were here for our anniversary dinner, my husband made reservations in advance (definitely need)…read moreit's a smaller venue downtown next to the fox theater. We waited a minute to be seated in a small corner table next to the kitchen We waited quite a long time to have our server acknowledge us we had already picked out food by the time they came. She made us aware of specials they had. They don't have a mocktail menu but the server said she would be able to come up with something for me which was very fruity and sweet definitely not my taste. I wish they would incorporate a mocktail menu or better NA options. The appetizer we had was calamari which was decent- my husband wasn't a fan of the breading texture it has a lumpiness to it maybe like a crushed cornflake feel. Not our favorite but overall it was cooked great not overdone. Love the roasted lemon on the side. I had the short rib ravioli which the ravioli itself was good. The sauce was interesting it had a sweetness to it that I wasn't a fan of. I've had short rib ravioli at wildflower which they also did a white sauce which I preferred due to it being savory. I can tell it was a wine based sauce which had a nice depth of flavor but the sweetness really killed it for me. My husband had the baked ravioli which was a lasagna style which was great! Robust sauce and large portion. If you're in Tucson the sauce seems very similar to Nate's. We did get a free cheesecake for our anniversary which was very nice, my husband loved this and he's super picky about cheesecake. Overall not bad- I think I'd maybe come to try some other dishes but service felt very slow, I wasn't blown away with anything and it was very pricey, mocktail options definitely lacked if you're sober.
