Specialties
Cyclovia Tucson is a 40,000 person day connecting people to place and each other. We close down streets and open them up to people for walking, rolling, biking, and playing. Streets are full of music, food trucks, and having a good time along a 3-5 mile route.
History
Established in 2011.
Since 2011, Cyclovia Tucson pops up in different neighborhoods to close down the streets and open them up to the people. Several community partners and volunteers make these open streets possible for all to enjoy cruising down the route or sitting at one of the many activity hubs with local DJs, food trucks, and play.
Watch for Spring and Fall events every year on their website. Cyclovia Tucson is produced by nonprofit organization, Living Streets Alliance dedicated to equitable streets for all.
Meet the Business Owner: Cyclovia Tucson L.
Cyclovia Tucson is an Open Streets event which temporarily invites all people out to the streets. Walk, bike, roll, play. During Cyclovia, the streets are yours.
If you think about it, streets occupy a lot of space. In fact, they usually make up the largest amount of public space that exists in urban areas. Cyclovia Tucson takes advantage of this by reimagining Tucson's streets as places for people and maximizing them with engaging, all-ages activities that bring people together to socialize, support local business, celebrate the city and move freely.
It's Tucson's longest block party.
