The exterior is so distasteful. The garden center is never open to the parking lot. It just really seems like we are treated like second-class citizens here in Silver City! The employees stated this was "store policy," but when we respectfully asked to see the policy, the store manager later described it as a "preference" rather than an actual written policy. The conflicting explanations were confusing and made the situation even more frustrating. I understand and support responsible alcohol sales and compliance with age-verification laws. However, if a store is going to deny a legal purchase, customers should be given a clear, consistent explanation and be able to review the policy being enforced. The lack of transparency and inconsistent communication from management left a poor impression. I hope Walmart TRC provides better training and clearer guidance so customers are treated fairly and receive accurate information in the future.

I should have known better than to stop at a big box store in a small town. They have the smallest beverage section of any Walmart I have been to. This place was full of old people totally oblivious to their surroundings. I got hit and nearly hit by half a dozen seniors pushing their carts or driving one of those motorized carts. They were not paying attention to where they were going or they just did not care. Then another one cut in front of me and everyone else in line at the self checkout lane and the employee on duty did nothing to stop them. The parking lot was not even half full and yet this store was packed with shoppers. How did everyone get here?

The wind chimes are beautiful and the kind employee was so gracious when a small child was actively playing with the chimes! I ended up purchasing a blanket that I didn't need but her kindness to the situation with the toddler could have gone so many ways that I am glad to help out a small business. Sure, I could have run the engine all night and burned gasoline but that just seems wrong. I stopped in here to see if they had a portable air conditioner, or better yet, a swamp cooler. Lots of other people had the same idea - if they had one, it's long sold. The store is otherwise in good condition and I definitely appreciate that they allow overnight parking in their lot. I don't go to walmart to spend a half hour looking for coffee filters because some drone with a degree thinks its a good idea to keep moving products around. Over half of the freezer shelves are out of service with no product at all in them. The card readers at self checkouts are usually screwed up and will not accept valid credit or debit cards. The entire operation is a cluster****.
