I had to spend the night in a hotel as it was just too darned hot to try to sleep in a Sprinter van that did not have an air conditioner. Sure, I could have run the engine all night and burned gasoline but that just seems wrong. I stopped in here to see if they had a portable air conditioner, or better yet, a swamp cooler. Lots of other people had the same idea - if they had one, it's long sold. The store is otherwise in good condition and I definitely appreciate that they allow overnight parking in their lot. I love this place. I feel like I live there with how many times I've gone in. lol I find really good stuff in Walmart. The only problems are is that people leave their carts in the parking lots, where they can hit other people's cars. and also these semi-trucks can park where ever they want! they get in the way! read more

Tried to contact Walmart on their site but it was too confusing so I can only assuming that they don't want to hear from anyone. Our experience at the Deming location was horrendous. We found good prices on some liquors and proceeded to checkout. The employee requested my husband's ID and then wanted mind-why? I am 84 with a cane and my husband is just an old-where is the common sense here? I did not have my purse with me so she refused our purchase. What the heck. Too bad Walmart, you lost a $99 sale. Don't you train your people to use common sense when someone is ancient and wants to purchase liquor? It's pretty obvious I'm not under 21 yrs.!!!!!!!! read more

Hospitality. Also the actual pedicure that I got was pretty awful. All they basically did was wash my feet and paint my nails.

The store itself is decent, stocked shelves for the most part. Problem started when hubby and I went to check out and we wanted to purchase a small bottle of liquor. Now I (41F) and hubby (60M) walked up to the register and put down our snacks as we are just passing through the area and staying one night. And the cashier says he has to call Chris to come over with the key because of the alcohol so he asked for my husband's ID, no problem. But then because I could not produce my ID he refused to sell it to us. This made absolutely no sense to me, even though I offered to show him a picture of my ID that's on my phone. Since we were just running to Walmart, I left my stuff in the safe in in the room. So, if you happen to be with someone who has no ID or maybe even under age you are not allowed to buy alcohol at this location. Chris said that even if we leave and he returns without me he will still not sell it to him. That is so ridiculous so basically what he saying is if we leave and I go back to the hotel and my husband comes back to purchase this alcohol. He will refuse to sell it to him because he saw him with me earlier?! How ridiculous is that. We'll spend our money elsewhere. read more

Ran to town to pick up some wine for the weekend. My husband who is 66 took his wallet in, I didn't even bother bringing mine to town when the underage checker had the front end manager checks out with our wine she asked for both our ID's, I'm 58. Not having my ID with me she said she couldn't sell us alcohol because everyone in the party must be ID'd. Said it was company policy. So we left. The manager or night supervisor is rude asf! So the people in front of us were buying alcohol and my man was talking to them and we were chatting, they were buying beer and the girl cashier was not the age appropriate so she went and got her then she came all rude saying I need everyone's ID with an attitude assuming we are all together ??? Like excuse me we all have different transactions!! My husband don't even drink ! No customer service ! So she had the under age cashier take out the beer from the couples cart instead of her doing it since cashier is under age to even card us. If she treats customers like this she needs some training because there is other ways to talk to people in a different tone or way. If you don't like your job go somewhere else. With exception of obvious insecure girl in pick up, Most have been Great. ADAM was fabulous today, I've Broken my foot, not sure if my screw up on theirs, had to go back in for return. He cleared carts out of my way, tucked Milk away, so wouldn't go bad in the car, Just in case, yes, Ma'am and No, Ma'am, helped me remove my knee scooter from my car. They allow overnight parking for truckers and van lifers which is super sweet. Always call and check though because it may change if some people act up. Their bathrooms were also nice and they got a pretty nice grocery section. I did miss the prewashed celery some Walmart's carry but this one also has the $1 great value chocolate bars (which are vegan!) read more

Deming Walmart has done all the right things, entrance and exit lines, 6 ft. markers, and lane direction arrows. Very few people are paying any attention. They need to put 3 ft. high sign posts at the end of each isle posting the flow direction of that isle or a monitor at the ends of the isles. pj read more

At times they may be out of something you might want, because it's in a small town and has to account for Changes in market size. But look, the people are nice, especially if you are nice to them. Well they do price match But the manager is probably the worst I've ever seen. He was whispering to the employees to answer us instead of just answering us directly. We went to customer service to get a price match and he whispered to debate that the Sears page showed LA. We tried to ask me what wasn't right and he just wouldn't talk to us. He told the employee it was up to him. So the employee proceeds with the the difference. The manager walks away and then calls the employee from another phone saying don't do it and the employee was confused "but you told them yes. The store was really clean, and from what I saw, fairly well stocked. All I needed was a juice and a small milk or my breakfast for the next couple of days. Unfortunately, all they had was the quart size of milk and whole milk. But other than that, it went smoothly. read more

Seriously - how the hell can you not speak English and yet still be able to work on the floor. These employees must think they're in Old Mexico... well, you're not - you're in New Mexico. I needed help finding an item in the meat department, which, might I add, was quite bare. The butcher didn't have a name tag on, and she apparently understood English, but didn't speak it. She rolled her eyes at me wheni asked her to show me where something is and started cursing at me in Spanish. She must think that because I don't look Latin, I don't understand the language. WRONG! There was also trash all over the parking lot and the store itself was not that clean. The cashier was friendly at least. Store is dirty, most employees not helpful, even if you can find one. Sometimes they are out of staples, like sugar, flour, etc. Not well stocked at all. Produce expensive and not fresh. The wife and I stop in Deming every year on our trek from San Diego to Texas and have made it a ritual to always grab a bottle of St.Clair's and New York style cheesecake (one of the best cheesecakes we've eaten from coast to coast. How even?) from this Wal-Mart. For the people that live in Deming it may not seem luxurious but it's a nice reminder of being closer to home away from the hustle and bustle of California. read more

I have traveled around the United States, & I have never found a Walmart to be more friendly, clean and pleasant. The atmosphere is fantastic. I have not walked past anyone who did not speak to me. Seems this store has problems with inventory and those who try to shop online are given excuses like out of stock on many items especially if they have it in their brand ! Used to buy most of my necessities there now have to find another place as I was buying on line and having it delivered. They were good for a while seems their current Manager has problems running this store. Hopefully they will get it corrected read more

This is the closest Walmart to our house, only 30 miles away. So far over the last 5 years the only thing I will give them 5 stars on is the grocery pick up. Usually the employees stand in the aisle talking and you can't get by. I have also had them get very rude in front of the manager that day. When you check out for the most part the service is slow and the checkers act like they don't know how to do their job. I have been waiting in the deli and had them take customers in front of me. I have also waited in the deli when there are four people there and only one working the counter and go forbid the others should help customers. I ordered a cake at Christmas and the employee hardly spoke English and was bad at it. I understand that we have a mixed community but if the employee can't speak English don't have them servicing customers. The one that really sent me over the edge is they had seats in the pick up area to wait for pick ups, which is a slow process, and they took them out because they had people sleeping in the area at night. We have a lot of Older people in Deming that can't stand as long as it takes. But lets not post a notice no sleeping or have the balls to tell people they can't sleep there and will have to leave. Lets make it hard for the people spending their money at the store instead. This Walmart has the worst customer service of other Walmart's I have been in 6 other states and Silver City. read more
