I called and I'm not sure if it was the owner or not but, she was friendly and had no problem helping me out in a last minute situation. I was ordering an arrangement for a funeral in my hometown. She asked what I needed and she more than delivered. I gave her a $50 price range and when I arrived at the Funeral Home I was taken back by how big and beautiful it was. I told her to do what she thought was best for the occasion and it was perfect. Im glad I decided to call this small business and get such a great product. I live in Cincinnati but needed to send an arrangement to Willard but wanted to use a florist that was local to Willard, OH. I'm glad that my search ended with the Carriage House. I worked primarily with Pam and I believe there was also a Becky who helped with my order. As this was a special arrangement for our family and in memory of a loved one, there was a lot of thought that went into the order. I was also very indecisive about certain aspects of the order too. That being said, Pam and Becky were extremely helpful, personal, understanding. They were very prompt in responses when I had last minute changes to the order. I would have been annoyed if I was working with myself as a customer but they had a "no fuss" attitude and treated me as a VIP. We had a combination of several messages that wanted to be included and they wrote all of them in the card "word for word". Being out of town and unable to attend the memorial services, they not only texted me after delivery and to confirm it was received by a human but they also texted me pictures of the beautiful arrangement. They were very fair in price and I felt very comfortable giving my debit card information over the phone. Charges came out as expected with no additional or surprise costs. My mother is Spanish, and was subjected to some of the worst and most blatantly racist hate speech by the woman who checked us out. I've never had to endure that before but it was absolutely shocking and demoralizing. Telling your customers openly hateful things is no way to run a business. At least have the basic human decency of keeping it to yourself. It's a shame considering I would've liked the place itself if not for experiencing such lewd and racist rhetoric by one of its workers. But oh well. I've watched this company damage my neighbor's front yard from their snow plowing. Never repaired…read morethe damage. For the past 2 summers mow and blow the yard clippings against the house all around, blow into the a/c unit outside, blow the clippings into neighbors yards- sticking in fence. Side discharge. You could also throw a hard object into the siding. Guess it's to hard to aim the discharge chute "away" from the house, They dumped the grass on my sidewalk that leads to the back of the house and left it. Continually dump grass clumps on lawn from bottom of deck. Then these clumps kill the grass. I went over and raked all the dead clumps and mulched up, mowed it each time after they left 3 times, power washed the house to clean the yard waste off the house they blew over all 4 the sides.
