It seems like their selection of gift items has expanded over the years. It also seems very thoughtful, classy and includes many unique and fun things. Puzzles, art supplies, coloring books, journals, t-shirts, and jewelry were on display along with the books. They also carry cool postcards that are a step above the regular ones available everywhere else. I've scored some great deals here as well. They offer remainders and the last two times I've been here I've scored cool history works at great prices. Service is quiet and calm, but warm too. In other words, they let you browse as much as you want, but also seem accessible for help and/or questions. I love coming here when I'm in the area!

The next door bakery had closed earlier, so I decided to check out this indie bookstore and gallery instead. Ended up finding a lone copy on the shelf, Oregon Coast by Barbara Tricarico. They take good care of customers and never make you feel hurried or rushed. It's obvious that quality customer service is what they hang their hats on and they go the extra mile to take care of their customers. The selection of books is large and covers all types of genres. They have a trade in program, so if you save up your books, bring them here and trade them in for some new to you books. Not a ton of seating area, but they offer enough space to sit and enjoy your coffee or tea....study or read a bit .... all in a chill environment. If you've never been to this place and books are your thing, you need to check this place out. Plan on spending some time here though, it's easy to get lost. Highly recommend!

The books they have are not just the trending books they are targeted books from so many different angles. Spiritual growth, books on autism, community, culture and so much more. I've been to a handful of other places in Gold Beach for meals, and this is the friendliest I've visited so far. Some establishments in town definitely have a "locals only" vibe, but Gold Beach Books seems much more welcoming to out-of-towners.
