The website was for a fraternal organization that considers itself "private," but due to lackadaisical management, this site had a wide-open, fully public search function that returned results with just two search characters. Armed with a list of the most common male names of the last 100 years (social security provides this list for free) I was able to assemble an extensive membership list. When the owner found out, he accused me of hacking. No, sir, you just failed to implement the site privatization you thought you had in place, because you rely on Squarespace and AI to build sites for you without bothering to check page settings.
