Honest, caring and considerate. The reality is I know NOTHING about air conditioners or heater (and in my 70+ years have never taken a HVAC class, go figure!!) so I am at their mercy. After talking to Jeff, I knew we had the best company for the job. The service tech was prompt, courteous and professional. I can not write a higher star review because if I could, I would. He even made sure that our A/C, furnace and blower were all set up correctly. I called around 10 HVAC companies to compare service charges. Several places will not reveal their hourly rates which scared me. Air Comfort Pro charged $80 to come out on the service call. This price is about average. However their hourly service rate is only $30, and their charge for freon is only $25 per pound. That is less than half all the other places I called! Happy to support an Allen Park resident too.

I used the project quote function on Yelp to snag some pricing and info from local plumbers. In chatting with Al over yelp, he had me send some pictures and gave me a general idea of pricing. Unfortunately for me, my setup is non-compliant with current code specs. Fortunately for me, Al was able to come check it out in person the next day. He was then able to get back to me and upgrade my system, install a new water heater, and take the old one out... all within 72 hours of my original request. Some of the larger companies in the area were a week or more out before even willing to come give me an estimate. Can't say enough positive things about Breyer's. From start to finish it was a friendly, professional, and well done project. If i need a plumber in the future, they'll be my first call.

He said, that based on the age of my furnace (Over 40 years old) that a new furnace was recommended. The thing is that this company doesn't sell or install new furnaces, they only repair. What I really appreciated, was how he turned down business to give me proper advice. And to add, he did not even charge me for the service call. This is someone who has a passion and loves their work and believes in an honest and fair way of doing business. You really do stand out in this day and age! Standup dude proceeds to educate me on the struggles of small business and that he had acted on my wife's wishes (our mistake for not figuring stuff out before we agreed). He says the words that single-handedly changed this from a 3-Star to a 5-Star review: "How can I make this right?" We settled on a price that still got him the profit to operate but seemed a little more fair to us. He'll be swinging by with a check for that difference. Customer for life.
