Bueno quiero contar mi experiencia en este consultorio dental. Si me preguntan si lo recomiendo mi respuesta es que no por los siguientes puntos Cuando llegué a este consultorio me sugirieron realizarme un proceso dental el cual no me brindaron la información completa acerca del procedimiento y todos los efectos secundarios que conlleva realizarte eso. Mi tratamiento fue de un puente ya que me extrajeron una muela que ya supuestamente me dijeron que no se podía salvar y que tenía que sacarla y para que no quede espacio pues hiba hacerse dos coronas para realizar el puente. Pues accedí a realizarme pero tuve mucho dolor al momento de la extracción y luego también no me enviaron medicina solo una hoja de cuidados Para realizarme las coronas desgastaron muchos mi dientes y por lo siguiente quedaron muy sensibles tuve molestias por varias semanas y hasta el momento tengo molestias al momento de tomar agua fría y caliente también. Estéticamente se mira bien. A lo que voy es que deberían informarte y asesorarte con estos tipos de procedimientos por qué tus dientes al realizarte este tipo de desgastes ya no quedan igual y vas a tener molestias incluso siento que también puede generar un poco de mal aliento. Y ya por último cuando salí de terminar mi procedimiento la persona de recepción me empezó a decir que debo realizarme coronas en varias de mis piezas dentales que se encuentran totalmente curadas (están con relleno) y no me duelen ni me dan ninguna molestia . A lo que voy es por qué recomendarte un procedimiento tan agresivo como son las coronas cuando no es necesario. Por qué en lo personal no me parece necesario. Solo tendría que realizar coronas en casos excepcionales. Ya que tus dientes son muy desgastados prácticamente tus dientes o muelas quedan como de tiburón por el desgaste. Mi recomendación para todos los profesionales de la salud seamos más conscientes al momento de atender a un paciente si acudimos a ustedes es con la confianza y seguridad de que van a ayudar y asesorar de la mejor manera para solucionar nuestro problema. read more

Was a patient here for years. They would constantly try to sell me their latest fad. No big deal I could just refuse. Suddenly with no dental issues no fillings the dentist decides I need 5 crowns! I ran out of there never returned. Of course my new dentist has not recommended a single crown. Beware if your dentist recommends multiple crowns without major symptoms or large fillings that is very aggressive profit seeking behavior. read more

There website says New Patients exam-ray & cleaning Well I was there exam showed I need some procedures done, with all that was explained to me I realized it was more than I expected. I will look to getting a second opinion. But they did not even try to give me a cleaning I know it's not a deep cleaning but at least give a new patient a regular cleaning. I took my son for a regular check up, did a cleaning and she decided to charge me for an antibiotic. She ended up giving him a few, manipulated me and didn't tell me that the price was $300-$400 each My bill was $1200.00! read more

This place is going under Samia Ali dentistry in both Westchester and downey. The office took over my original dental office where I used to get a yearly checkup. My reviews keep getting taken off but this is for consumers to know that they need to send their complaints to the dental board. I was called for a cleaning they end up damaging my teeth and claiming that it was originally damaged but they broke them and what is worse they wouldn't give me my records yet they did a poor work that fell off and when I went back to get it restored the dentist who's the owner ended up missing aligning the center of my teeth grinding them short and making them look selfish and horrible the bite was too high and she didn't even fix it and they had me wait for over 6 hours and she denies it they say I damaged my teeth by going and messing with them even my gum was bleeding and they denied it and refused to pay for the other dental office that have to fix their work since they said they would not take me or refix it they took me between clients instead of taking the time to restore it also she keeps talking about veneers and getting veneers my family we don't do veneers we have good teeth, my dad doesn't even have veneers she just claims that because she's only good at grinding teeth no aesthetic or true restoration my teeth were perfect on my smile so now they're going with dr. Ali dentistry but it's the same office. read more

I have been going to Downey Beautiful Smile for more than a year. Dr. Tran has been treating me with great care & he had done a few crowns & many periodic cleanings. He is extremely professional & has great knowledge in dental care & during his such extremely care, he has helped me tremendously. His assistant Ms. Lupe who has many years of experience in dental care, is extremely polite & so very helpful to Dr. Tran & they both work in such great harmony, to make the patient very comfortable as possible. Then the lady in the front office, Ms. Wendy is such a great person to work with scheduling & many other tasks. She is such a joy to see every time you visit there. Extremely poor service none there knows what their doing for the past two years staff has been change monthly not to mention incompetent service by this so called dentist. Not only did she do a poor service she also insulted me and stated I never made payment when I had made three payments and my insurance a partial Payment I did stop monthly payments after seeing how negligent her work was not to mention horrible customer service she even made me cry on how rough she was. After her first incompetence I swore I would never go back but after getting a call back from her her self asking why I never came Back "acting like she didn't know why I didn't" smh I decided to go back and give her the benefit of the doubt i went back boy do I wish I hadn't not only did she mess up again with my bridge she shaved my teeth so much I now need a root canal . She put on temporary ones and when I went back to complain of pain she stated she would fix it and I wouldn't have to make payment till I was happy . So I went back when I did she made me wait 2 hours before she even came into the room her so called manager who doesn't know what she's even doing comes in demands payment ? I was so confused I told her the dentist Dr.Ali stated I didn't have to Cover cost till I was happy with my results. She said no our doctor wants payment . I asked to speak to her and that's when the true identity of this women came out not only did she yell scream and insult me in front Of my 8 year old and sister and her staff she stated I was running from Payment and that I have cost her time and money ? Yelling at me . I told her excuse me I'm In pain sense you touched my teeth your work is incompetent and you have messed up more then 2 times already that's why I didn't come back although I had a lot of pain and the temporary and permanent bridge where put in wrong 2-3 times I lost hope and was gonna find another dentist and possibly take You to court . wow When i said that she went off i had no choice but to shut it down by allowing her to yell and scream At me to the point where I simply stated will You fix your errors she stated no mind you she stated she did mess up Multiple times but it was all my fault smh And so much more stuff was said that I prefer not to mention . After all the pain and struggle and inconvenience I now decided to not go back . Not to mention I went back almost 3-4 times that I didn't mention prior for the temporary implants that were also put in wrong allowing ,air ,food and sensitivity . Sad part I did this bridge because I have suffered with a GAP for years not being able to smile . To Come here and be mistreated and let down. Sad part I was so happy not seeing the gap anymore that i was willing to stay with a messed up bridge for a year just so I can smile this brings tears to my eyes because on how people like this doctor can use that against you and make money off Off of you and your insurance and still Not care for the pain and harm they have caused you mentally , emotionally and physically. Stay far away from this place. Mind you my gums are so swollen from her wrong placements . I take pain meds to help the pain. I don't even use my left side of my mouth because of the sharp Ting feeling I get. Worst pain ever. Be aware She yells swears and insults you when You confort her about her incompetence in being a dentist. I am taking this matter to court for her inconvenience and poor service we should be compensated for her poor service not to mention waste of Time None deserves this type of incompetence. read more

I went here a few years back and they tried telling me I had cavities in my from teeth. I had them work on a back tooth that was bothering me and the dentist was watching TV the whole time while working on it. I got a second opinion about my front teeth and it turns out there was nothing wrong with them and they were just trying to pull a fast one. read more

If I could give this shady business less than 1 star, I would. Not only are they the most unprofessional set of people I've ever dealt with, they historically rip patients off left and right. I work in insurance, so I deal with dental offices pretty frequently. As a note, I'm not a patient of this office - I was trying to get an issue resolved for a patient who had no luck after months of trying to get it resolved himself. The issue is that the member was overcharged over $2,000 and this office refused to even discuss issuing a refund. The insurance carrier also contacted them and advised that they were overcharging the patient but still, they refused to correct this. We've been trying for over two months now to get this refund issued and, no joke, every time we call, we're hung up on. Luz, the front desk moron/manager, tells us (screams at us, really) that she's too busy and literally hangs up the line. Please, please do yourself a favor and avoid this dental office at all costs. Dental HMO offices are typically not so great, but this one takes the cake. Complaints have been filed with the Department of Insurance and American Dental Association. I arrived to the office without an appointment; Dr. Ali and her staff were gracious enough to accommodate me; I knew that without an appointment is difficult to be seen since everyone works on a schedule. They took the time to answer all my questions; from the procedure to the cost and future care. Okay I read these reviews and to be quite honest I was hesitant. Well, the people who left 1 star are seriously probably just ignorant or just didn't get their way or hear what they wanted to hear. Dr. Ali's staff are all so kind. They explain in detail and actually take their time. I hate the dentist. It's a scary situation having people poke and prod around in your mouth and let's all face the truth dental is EXPENSIVE! After reading a review saying that Dr. Ali likes to rip people off well she actually tries to SAVE YOU MONEY! NO I DO NOT WORK FOR THEM! I work at a school and I'm not endorsing them in any way shape or form I'm a paying customer who's extremely satisfied with their work and treatment to their clients. Thank you Dr. Ali for being one of the few honest dentists out there. She's extremely gentle and talks to you through all procedures and really cares about what she's doing. I have a appointment coming up and instead of being scared I can finally say I feel comfortable. As far as front desk staff she's extremely kind! So again I don't know what these reviews are talking about. Now regarding Price as I mentioned oral hygiene isn't cheap. But they definitely do not overcharge. I had a bill from a previous facility and it was 5x more then what they were charging me. I think they're fair in their prices and I truly don't believe they're ripping you off. As I stated Dr. Ali tried to save me money. I truly appreciate that being a single mother of 2 and trying to care for myself as well saving money is a priority. This is the best Dental office I've been to. Dr Samia is most sensitive and generous especially with dentist phobia patients. Her staff, especially Yara, is very friendly and empathetic with her patients. She makes you feel at ease and comfortable at the office. This dentist is a joke. I read okay reviews on this place so I decided to call and make an appointment. The lady who answered had the AUDACITY to tell me she was on her lunch break so she couldn't help me. I told her I just wanted to make an appointment really quick. She said she would call me back in 45 minutes. It's been 2 months and I'm still waiting for her phone call........ There are 3 things wrong with this scenario: 1. Why would you answer the phone if you're on a lunch break? 2. If you already bothered answering the phone, why not just help the customer? 3. Why tell a potential patient that you'll call them back, and not make it happen? Don't waste your time and visit a real dental office. read more

Dr. Samia is so gentle and so direct. She tells you exactly what you need and is straight forward making sure you understand exactly what is going on. I called in to get an appointment the same day because my molar was significantly hurting. Wendy the front receptionist was kind enough to move some things around and see me that same day. Doctor Ali was very gentle and kind. Her positive attitude kept me at ease. The dental assistant Yvonne was very kind as well. She patiently talked to me through the Xrays. I ended up getting a root canal here as well. No matter where you go they suck but these Doctors go out of the way to make sure you are comfortable and in good shape. I didn't know I was supposed to eat before my root canal and I also went out drinking the night before. Ops! The anesthetics were not taking effect as intended but the doctor was very patient and gave me an extra dose as well as some of his own lunch to fill my stomach so I wouldn't pass out during the procedure. I was also given a free chapstick to take home. What an amazing staff. read more

Dr. Ali is not professional in any why. She is in the business for the money only. I came into the office for an exam and basic cleaning. My insurance covers 100% for these services. As I'm in the exam room with Dr. Ali, she recommended have a root canal and a few crowns. I told her I was not going to have her do the work just yet. First, I need to get a second opinion; for the moment only the cleaning. Her attitude towards me immediately changed from pleasant to unsympathetic. She said she was only going to do full mouth deep cleaning which I agreed to. She asked me to come back another day. I told her no, the cleaning was supposed to be part of my appointment. She stated she did not have time for me. At this point I was upset and had been sitting in the exam room for almost 2 hours. I demanded the cleaning to be done since I had already spent too much time at this office. I also agreed to pay $104.00 co pay for the deep cleaning. However, she did not do the deep cleaning like she stated she would do. She only did the basic cleaning and still charged me for the deep cleaning. When she was done I flew out of the office since I was running late for other errands. I called the office to express how unhappy I was about the service I received; how the deep cleaning was rushed and done within less than 5 minutes. Maria, the lady who answers the phone, didn't care and not once tried to apologize or try to make things better. I asked her is they were going to do anything about it. She said "no", I followed to tell her I was going to file a complaint because they charged me for a deep cleaning and Dr. Ali only did a basic cleaning. They ripped me of for $104 and I'm sure they are going to rip off my insurance company for the remainder balance. Maria only said ok have a nice day and ended the call. I usually don't like visiting the dental office unless I'm in real bad pain, but Downey Beautiful smile is the exception. Since day one, I was welcomed and was treated as if I were family. I felt comfort in knowing that Dr Ali is as caring and gentle as can be. She always makes sure I am fully numb before starting any work on me. (That's my biggest fear, feeling pain) Not like other dr's that just poke and want to start the work right away. Dr Ali knows what she's doing... I have gotten root canals, crowns, fillings and cleanings and have never felt any pain during the process. I love her!! The office is also very nice and clean!! I have referred many of my family members to her and they too are very satisfied with Dr Ali and her work. And did I mention the staff?? (Mayra) They are awesome!! I hate the dentist!! but OMG my 1st experience here was amazing. Dr. Ali is awesome she explains everything in detail, what she will be doing to your teeth etc etc. Her assistant Vivi is the best she is gentle on taking xrays not like other places tell you to open and shove those things in your mouth then bite down (basically gagging) lol funny but yea over all this place is clean, you have music playing kind of distracts you if your a scary cat like me :) not crowded at all. I chose this place because of the reviews I read. I took my daughter and son last week and everything was fine, they had to do a follow up today and I was unable to be there because of work,my husband was the one that took them. Dr. Ali (not sure if I'm spelling her name right) was the one helping my daughter not only was she rude, unprofessional, moody and very rough with my daughter not wanting to explain what she was doing to her and when my husband brought it to her attention she got really upset and became a smart ass!!! If she was having a bad day she should've kept her happy ass at home specially when dealing with kids. I just called this unprofessional place to cancel all future appointments, I'm sure another place would love to have our business. I will not recommend this place to any of my family or friends. I gave them one star because I can't put negative stars. Please if you take your children to this place go in the room with them and don't be afraid to tell them something if you feel they are not doing a good job!!! read more
