Best Dive Charter Boat in Pensacola..... Hand Down!!…read more I have dove on a lot of Dive Charters in my years but the service and professionalism is hands down the best I've ever had. Capt. Doug was very accomadating to all my needs including a last minute need for only one tank and he was able to help me with an equipment malfunction too. Once at the site I was met at the dock and all my gear and tanks were loaded by the smiling boat crew and the Captain. The boat left the Marina on time and the ride out seemed short as we snacked on fresh fruit and told stories of our travels. Dive Master Rich gave a very thorough Breifing of the Oriskany and I felt very at ease by the time we arrived on site to begin the dive. Everything went smooth and I could not have been happier with the service provided by the crew and Captain. I will definately be diving with the H2O Below again!

I met the boat at the Harbor and was greeted promptly. They even have a cart to carry your equipment to the boat. I was coming from out of town and landing the night before the dive and could not pick up my own tanks. CPT Doug made arrangements and my Nitrox tanks were waiting for me on the boat. I can't say enough about the great service and friendly attitude of CPT Doug and his DiveMaster. The boat was run well and full of safety equipment. The briefings were in detailed and easy to understand. The dive itself was great too. The USS Oriskany is a must dive. We had hot dogs, chips, snacks, and sodas provided on the trip. Very enjoyable. He pointed out things I'd missed before and allowed you to dive your own profile. The dive boat was small, but they limit the number of divers accordingly. I found their communication before the dive a bit lacking - there are directions on their web site, but it is to a marina, with no explanation. There is no dive shop and no signs. I got there before the boat and was a bit worried before calling them and getting this news.

Reviewed several dive operations prior to my first trip to the Destin, Florida area. I based my…read moredecision to go with Off Duty Dive Charters based on two phone conversations with Capt Dan. He was friendly and gave direct and honest feedback, avoiding any fluff. For my particular charter, we had a group (of 3) cancel so it was only myself and another diver. I really appreciate him keeping the charter that day, as I know it can be challenging both financially and logistically. It was the first charter of the year, so he kicked it off with a good omen and was able to take us to two great locations. Both Capt Dan and Instructor Gary were there to help in any way you really needed, especially handing me my lionfish gear. I've been to many places and can say I certainly made the correct decision in booking with Off Duty Dive Charters. When I come back to Destin, I will absolutely be booking with Capt Dan again! PS - The Off Duty Dive Charter long sleeve sun shirts are awesome. Thanks you, Capt Dan!
