When we arrived, we were greeted politely by the starter and golf course staff. However, once we were inside, the attitude changed. I can't say if this is uniform of what their experience is like, or of this is just a small blip because of COVID, but the service at the restaurant and bar attached to the golf course was dismal. When we checked in for the course, we were informed that there is a $39 fee for a rider, in addition to the golf fee of $130 per person. While I was informed ahead of time that the $39 fee existed, I will say that of all of the high end courses I've ever played, this is the first course that ever actually enforced it. Not the best value, but I was fully aware of their policy, so I cannot say I wasn't informed. After checking in, we ordered food, and was told it would be ready by our tee time. When we arrived to pick up our food, I was told the food was just being boxed up, and charged for food that had not even been started. 10 minutes later I come to find out that the food had not been started, and I'm now 10 mins late for my tee time. After asking for a refund, I rush outside to hit my first tee shot, only to realize 2 mins later that they had shortchanged me by $13 dollars. Overall, the course is nice, and is in good shape. Having driven 3 hours from Philadelphia, I would have expected a better experience. If the golf and atmosphere had been better, I would have definitely been inclined to come back. After this experience, I would not spend the time, or money coming back. While it's hard to put into words how truly bad the experience was, the overall lack of professionalism and indifference to our concerns is among the worst I've seen at a high end course.

First off, the views of the surrounding Allegheny Mountains and Cumberland Valley as breathtaking. The golf course has five par 5's and five par 3's, including one named "Tiny Tim". The No. 4, which is the "Volcano," is rated as the hardest hole on the entire course. On No. 10, you hit from an raised green over a valley to a two-tiered green with a high shelf in back. All in all, BJ enjoyed this course.

The waitress took some time to get to us and overall service was a little slow but that didn't take away from our overall experience and how good the food was. We all ordered drinks a personal favorite was the coffee flavored beer it was very good. Many of us ordered wings and appetizers in the wings were absolutely delicious: I highly recommend the wings. They are crunchy and super flavorful. For my meal, I actually ordered a flatbread, the chicken bacon ranch flatbread to be exact. It was very very good. Overall it was a Fantastic meal. If you find yourself down in Indian Lake I highly recommend grabbing some dinner here!

I got a burger which was delicious as well. Had a wonderful drink from the bar, something with Luau in the name? My only complaint was the other server in this establishment, she was not our waitress but at the next table. A young brunette, We think her name was Mackenzie, or Makenna maybe? i Dont know if she was friends with the customers at the table next to us, or not. But she was very loud, it was hard to hear ourselves talking over her, and there was a lot of cussing going on. And also some quite vulgar talk, which was very offputting in a restaurant like this. I would have been appalled if I heard this kind of language at Mcdonald's, and I Certainly don't want to hear it at a nice and expensive place like this. And there were small children around as well. I definitely would have walked out if I heard someone talking like that in front of my kids. I tried looking around for management, but our server was busy and i didnt want to drag her into this situation. I'm sure this isn't the norm, because everyone else there seemed lovely and professional. This seems like an upscale place, but employees like that will make us want to never come back, and bad for business I'm sure, especially for the older clientele that were there. I hope this situation gets corrected, because we would like to come back again.

I was living in California and every time I'd get back to the east coast, she'd suggest going here. Unfortunately, we never got to experience a visit here together after she suddenly passed from an aggressive cancer. It became my goal to come here and visit with her on my mind. Years later, I moved back to the east coast and booked a random weekend just for fun. I'm married now with kids so we made the drive here to experience all that the Omni had to offer. I've stayed at other Omni resorts and I wavered on what this place would land on ratings wise. Overall, it's a beautiful hotel with a lot of history that I loved learning about. My kids absolutely loved the indoor pool. It is as gorgeous as the photos look. It's a nice spot, especially when it's a chilly Pennsylvania day like when we visited. With that said, there isn't a ton to do here with kids. It was the perfect amount of time for us, but met other families who were struggling to keep their own kids occupied. There are some really nice trails around the property, which are perfect. And you can also check out some free toys and games from one of the shops inside. That said, if you don't have great weather, options can be limited. We didn't get a chance to visit the spa, but the space looks amazing from what I saw online. The rooms were spacious and well set up for a family. We ate at a few of the restaurants on site. Service was mostly on point though the tavern was really off. Our server was perfectly friendly but pretty much messed up the entire order. I would go back but not sure I'd be eager to rush back anytime soon. We did enjoy the experience but I think a few bumps could be worked out such as helping with our luggage upon arrival. We were able to valet but couldn't find anyone to help us with the bags and the rolling carts don't easily go over the front door to get inside. Between me and my partner, we were able to make it work. But it's those small details that make a property really stand out.

Afterward, we had lunch at the Frontier Tavern, and everything was fantastic. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. Every member of the staff we interacted with went above and beyond to make our visit special. From the spa to lunch, the entire experience was memorable and truly exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect way to celebrate a birthday, and we can't wait to come back again.
