Came here for school field trip. They showed us around and explained the really cool things they do for the mentally handicapped. They had a really cute little store where you could buy things such as eggs from their farm or items that some of their residents have made. I understand there are paid tours. Our son will be attending for his 3rd summer. The staff are incredible, the ranch is beautiful. The weeks are planned out with great detail with movie nights, theme night dance, swimming, crafts. The check in & out are very streamlined, very quick. Our son is 24 and he looks forward to camp every year. If your special needs adult has other medical issues or special dietary requirements (our son does) they will work with you on that as well. It is a little bit of a drive from our home but it is a beautiful drive and the excitement our son had to attending each year is a blessing. He has made friends that he stays in touch with throughout the year by phone or messages. I cannot say enough about Down Home Ranch, they have been an amazing blessing in our life! read more

Great place to get your Christmas Poinsettias. They also have a few handmade items from the Ranch Hands that live there. And fresh eggs and beef from the ranch. Good place to visit with farm animals and a tour of the ranch. read more
